We stayed 2 nights in the penthouse, an enormous studio apartment with the largest bathroom I've ever seen (we recently returned from Italy and this bathroom was larger than a couple of rooms we booked in Italy). The unit was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked with breakfast fixings, although this is a self-service B&B. We bought some...

My family and I stayed at the Belle Vue for the weekend. We live on the Hilo side and went to Waimea for a wedding. It is a beautiful setting with a big green rolling hill on one side of the street with cattle on it. The other side of the street are all homes. The upstairs suite looks out...

After being in few Hawaiian resorts and hotels, this place is the restful place we were seeking for. Interior is clean and cosy, caretaker (Gayland) is more than welcoming. This is really good location for roaming the big island. View is gorgeous, nearby beaches are top, Waipio valley is at few miles, mountains on your sides, and the sea at...

We just completed a three-week stay in our very favorite place on the Big Island of Hawaii - the penthouse at Belle Vue in Waimea (Kamuela). It is extremely spacious and inviting, feels like home, and the wrap-around lanai has the most spectacular near-270-degree view imaginable, from Mauna Kea to Mauna Loa to the ocean to the conical green hills...

open, airy, clean, close to downtown waimea (restaurants like Merriman's!). and VERY reasonable price, given the quality of the room (we had upstairs space: HUGE room!), cleanliness and locality. one of those self-contained B&B experiences: breakfast foods are left in your fridge so that you don't need to find the B&B host in morning. On-site staff member was more than...

Gayland upgraded us to the upper unit, and we're most happy that he did. The views, spacious layout, and modern furnishings made this a relative bargain for the area. The self service fridge was stocked for breakfast: 1% milk, coffee, cereals, bread, butter, jam, and muffins. We watched our beloved Mets defeat the Dodgers in Game 5, and could look...

Waimea is a wonderful location for exploring all around the northern areas of the Big Island. However, Belle Vue is not a great place to stay. The rooms were very musty, the kitchen was barely functional and dirty. It was poorly stocked-no coffee filters, one bowl, old and dirty cutting boards, for example. The bathroom had used bars of soap...

We had a great experience. The suites are big suites which are clean with lots of room to move around. Beautiful flowers. Great view of the Waimea valley. In town so close to the shops and farmer's markets. Peaceful The beds/mattress was great! Good nights sleep. Enjoyed the fridge in the suit. Fruit and food in the fridge was great...

We reserved the less expensive room but were given the more expensive room because the other room was double booked. The expensive room is large and beautiful. While sitting on the wrap-around deck we could see the ocean, the volcano, and a beautiful hill directly behind the bed and breakfast. Breakfast consisted of 2 muffins and coffee the first morning....

My Husband and I stayed at Waimea in April 2015 and we had the most beautiful vacation time ever, Gayland was a perfect host and gave us all the information we needed to explore the whole island, the accommodation itself is out of this world, the suite is very clean and spacious and has the most spectacular views of the...
