Stayed here 1 night while on the Big Island. Pros: very nice room and bed, plus the view. Great breakfast. Not so much: way far from the beach, no A/C (and no breeze) so fan use was "mandatory" to stay cool. Use insect repellent if you go out on the lanai. Finally, being nit picky: the room safe could not... More

I stayed in this hotel for one night. I am not impressed given we drove from Kona side, the view is good but it's not spectacular. I understand this is a small couple owned business but with amount of money they charge for one night, they can definitely update some pillows, sheets and towels and some furniture. Breakfast was ok,... More

we stayed one night and we liked this place a lot. we arrived quite late, driving from Mauna Kea and all arrangements were in place when we arrived. the room was nice and comfortable with an amazing view to the ocean. the breakfast is excellent, all home made and fresh, however not ideal if you have some early plans. the... Palms Cliff House agreed to host myself, my wife and our son for two nights (August 18 & 19, 2016). The final arrangements had been made in my presence by the Mauna Lani hotel concierge. We were to have two rooms for two nights: one room on the lower floor (which does not have air conditioning) and one room on... More

We are sorry there was a misunderstanding with your reservation. Your original reservation was indeed for one night, two rooms; one with air conditioning and one with out. Making changes to an existing reservation using a go between can sometimes cause a misunderstanding. It was explained to the Concierge that the air conditioned room was not available the second night.... More

This beautiful Inn has 8 rooms, all of which have breathtaking views. It is situated over a cliff with a gorgeous view over the bay. You can leave just the screen closed and let the ocean lullaby you to sleep. The rooms are large with newly renovated ensuite bathrooms. The beds are very comfortable. Breakfast was ample and delicious. All... More

The Palms Cliff-House is a large house with rooms poised on a cliff a hundred feet above the ocean. The breakfast lanai overlooks the bay, the cliffs, the forests. This side of the Big Island is mostly black lava cliffs and forests, rain clouds and waterfalls. The setting of the house is beautiful. Despite being famed for the rain, we... More

Rooms are large, with nice outdoor sitting areas...all have stunning ocean views. Charming Victorian design with tons of antiques and Hawaiiana to peruse. Hosts are lovely people and provide a full breakfast featuring local ingredients. Room 1 featured a spa tub, fireplace, king bed, safe, mini fridge, a cooler you could borrow, and TV with DVD player, and fresh flowers.... More

We stayed two nights June 3rd and 4th. The Inn is magnificent and setup in an environment that is a delight for the eyes. The ocean view is simply fantastic. The room was huge with a nice king size bed and terrace. Breakfast on the covered patio overlooking the Pacific is an experience not to be missed and the menu,... More

We stayed in the Hilo Honoli'i Hale studio in June. This property is managed by Palms Cliff House. It was a nice 3 day stay and the owners are very gracious and welcoming. The studio was well appointed and had everything needed for a nice stay. The room and bath were spacious, comfortable and clean. The kitchen was cute and... More

We stayed at wonderful resorts on both Kauai and Hawaii, and they were great, but this b&b provided us with a different experience on the "quiet" side of Hawaii. Great room, sunrise and coffee on the patio, a very good breakfast on the lanai, and beautiful views of the ocean. No beach, no pool, just quiet luxury, lovely grounds and... More
