Very nice, clean bed and breakfast. Really quaint house, peaceaful with and interesting caretaker who knows lots about the island. She gave great recommendations for sites, and her organic breakfast was excellent!

We came from Hong Kong to big island and spent on night at Jacquiline 's place. We booked bird eye room which was a room with one queen size bed and one single bed, its quite suitable for three of us. The room is clean with almost everything you need. The living room is well decorated and comfortable. Jacqueline prepared...

Stayed here for 2 out of 11 nights on a whirlwind honeymoon exploring the whole island. Waipio Wayside was a highlight and is run just as I imagined a traditional B&B should be run. The owner Jacqueline is great at what she does - delicious home cooking, tastefully decorated house, spot-on suggestions of things to do and places to eat,...

Recently came back from a trip to Hawaii and had to say that one of the highlights of staying on the Big Island was a stay at the Waipio Wayside B&B. The home was easy to get to, and my sister in law and I were warmly greeted by proprietor Jacqueline Horne. The room, the food and the hospitality were...

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Jacqueline's lovely B&B! Very close to Waipio Valley, which is incredibly beautiful. The B&B is small, friendly, comfortable and beautifully decorated. Breakfasts were delicious, and Jacqueline was very helpful with recommendations for activities and restaurants in the area.

We stayed in the Chinese room. The bed was very comfortable (quite high, mind). The place is immaculately kept. Breakfast was fantastic - one breakfast (scrambled egg and avocado on bean patty) being particularly memorable. Most B&Bs in Hawaii don't have the necessary permit to prepare hot food: Jacqueline does and she is a very good cook (try to resist...

After hiking 16 miles into Waimanu Valley in the previous two days and not wanting to take another step once we arrived back to our car, we realized that we wanted to pamper the hell out of ourselves with a warm shower, good meal, and a comfy bed. We came upon the Waipio Wayside and Jaqueline was incredibly welcoming, even...

This is the best B and B to stay at while visiting Waipio Valley, Honoka`a, probably Waimea, and many of Hawaii island's east side attractions. Jacqueline, the owner, is a welcoming and meticulous host. The home is an older, beautifully maintained plantation home, with original wood floors but updated plumbing and bathrooms, and rooms with tasteful, slightly Asian styling, just...

After three weeks in Hawaii, and having stayed at over 10 B&Bs, I can say this was the best one by a long margin. Generally we found really good places, with kind hosts and lovely properties. This one, however, is a notch above the others. It's not just that the house is entirely furnished with elegant, classic furniture, a true...

We stayed at the Waipio Wayside Bed B&B while in Hawaii and it was a wonderful experience. The town of Honoka was charming and the inn is close to Wiapio Valley. Jacqeline is a wonderful and knowledgeable host and wow, the breakfast! Our son couldn’t get enough of her delicious waffles. She also shares her recipes! There are chickens in...
