The home is magnificient with old world charm. Barbara and Gary are gracious, and they are a great source of information about the area. The breakfast was a treat of local traditions, and the accomodations comfortable. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
When we visit Hilo and/or have out of town guests we always try to stay at the Shipman House. To see the beautiful old home filled with wonderful antigues from the early days of old Hawaii is reason enough to return again and again.
