This was our favorite of the three different places we stayed on our recent trip to the Big Island and Oahu. We don't normally stay in Hilo, but we enjoyed this place so much, we might now look for an excuse to come back to that side of the island, just so we can stay here again! The room was...

This B & B run by Steve and Su is excellent. It is situated in a lovely location, just 2 blocks from the ocean. The grounds are luscious including beautiful mature plants and trees. You can look and look again, seeing new plants and flowers each time. Each morning we had a wonderful breakfast with incredible fresh fruit (pictures posted...

This was our 1st time staying in a B&B and from our experience staying with Steve and Su at The Orchid Tree we won't want to stay anywhere else now. It was a luxury room set in a beautiful location a minutes walk to the beach. The bathroom was amazing. Breakfast was something to look forward to every morning. Steve...

Wow! What a great place. The room had two super comfortable beds, lots of space and all the amenities. Beautiful grounds, lovely pool, the lanai was a great place to relax in the shade. Close to the sweet little town of Hilo... lots of places to explore close by. Delicious food. Can't go wrong with this gem of a place...

My husband and I stayed at Orchid Tree B&B for 5 nights in late August and we absolutely loved it! Location was very convenient to explore the east side of Big Island, with easy access to some amazing spots, including the active lava flow out of Kilauea. The room was immaculate and very big for 2 people. The grounds were...

The orchid tree rents out two B&B units which should rather called suites than rooms. It is located next to the Honolii beach park in a beautiful residential area - yet only 5-10 minutes from Hilo down town with the car. You share a beautiful terrace, garden, pool and whirlpool with the other guest room. And an excellent breakfast is...

My wife and I spent 3 nights here recently and had a wonderful stay. The accommodations are very comfortable and spacious. We did not take time to enjoy the beautiful pool but it was very inviting. The landscaping is magnificent and we enjoyed some of his home grown pineapples and bananas as part of an amazing breakfast fruit tray. We...

This was just the most perfect place to stay for our honeymoon. Steve is a fantastic host and he and his wife Su have made the most wonderful, comfortable, beautiful home feel like our home (but better!) for four nights! We were given loads of help and support but were also given space and felt private which is the perfect...

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights on our honeymoon, and loved it! Steve clearly takes a lot of pride in his property. Our room (the hula suite) was spotless and charming, and well appointed. Breakfast on the wide lanai each morning featured a variety of fresh fruit grown on the property. We loved being close to old...
