The Inn is a great place that, though it has a few weaknesses, ends up as worth it because of its strengths. Starting with the pros, the Inn at Kulaniapia falls is a beautiful location; the waterfall and creek right at the Inn is worth 3 stars by itself. In addition to the straight path to the falls, there is...

We love the small personal venue. Everyone we met was welcoming, personal and accommodating. We arrived the afternoon of a perfect day, and after signing off on the requisite releases, went swimming and kayaking in the falls -- all to ourselves!! The following day, with the overnight rains, the fall volume increased and brought with it colorful contributions from the...

The falls are beautiful and were running at what must have been maximum flow after the heavy rains. The continental breakfasts were very good with a wide array of fresh tropical fruits. The staff was warm, attentive and courteous. However, the facilities were more than somewhat lacking from the written, verbal and pictorial information provided on their website. Upon arrival...

We definitely enjoyed our stay at the Inn of Kulaniapia Falls. The rooms were nice, a gentle breeze was in the air, breakfast was a good continental one with delicious muffins, island fruits, and cereals, and, most important, the view was stunning with the falls at our doorstep. The hospitality was certainly grand as everyone on staff was so very...

The Inn was absolutely gorgeous with an amazing view. The staff was great. It is off the beaten path in the middle of nature, which is great if you want to disconnect from reality. There is a gorgeous waterfall that you can walk down to and go swimming. A negative of the inn being so remote is there is nothing...

The Inn is a 10 minute drive up a one-lane farm road from historic downtown Hilo. When I arrived, I thought, "Oh no! Is that a noisy air conditioner unit right outside my window?" Nope. It's a spectacular natural waterfall perfectly framed from the balcony of my room. (Closing the window silences the rush.) There's an easy walk down to...

Humble but beautiful, with reasonable prices. I love this place and no expensive resort fees, and you get a nice fruit and coffee/pastry brekkie. Will come again! The staff was extremely friendly, and views breathtaking!!!

This Inn overlooks a beautiful, privately owned waterfall outside Hilo and up in the farming country. We loved hearing the waterfall all night and relaxed at the Inn for several hours after check-out and before our flight home. Great staff, and they produce their own electricity from the falls.

It is 20 minutes off the beaten path. By that, I mean winding one lane dirt roads. It was a bit dicey in the dark. We stayed in the Residence in the Queen L room. House was clearly built in 60s/70s and renovated a bit but don't expect a pristine hotel. If you go in with that expectation, you will...
