This property and views make it a very special place. We had everything we needed to relax , beach towels, chairs, umbrellas .and more. We got lucky and got the honeymoon suite but all the rooms seem silmilair. We cooked several nights and although no oven we were able to make do because of the grill. The refrigerator was stocked... I have been at this place several times since they opened the Captain Cook Belle Vue, accomodation is very nice, lots of space, good facilities, good beds, and a lovely hostess. The location is very nice for reaching most of the interesting places on the western and southern parts of the island, close to historic settings and good swimming and... More

After being in the Hawaiian islands for couple of weeks, this place is by far our best pick. Clean, well maintained,, passionate care taker (Gaylan), great location, "charming" said my wife. Indeed, we add 3 days to our stay. Feels like being at home with a dreamful outdoor. Bravo to Viviane and Gaylan .

We stayed here for 10 days in July 2016. Viviane is a warm and receptive hostess who loves the Big Island and whose recommendations for eating and exploring were always terrific. Rooms are more like suites. Ours was extremely clean, comfortable and appealing with excellent beds; but we basically lived on the lanai which had ever-changing views down the Kona... More

Our 16 years old (very teenager) son words (the one who said Hawaii had nothing to offer to him) ! Beautiful site, large rooms and beds, heartwarming welcome and readiness to give advice. Perfect all the way. We particularly appreciate the garden with plenty of beautiful birds and flowers right in front of us, with the ocean in the background.... More

Viviane, the owner/hostess allowed us to explore her land and play with her pets (who are fenced in and not in the common areas). Her love of birds and the many birdfeeders on her property brought in so many pretty birds to watch and listen to. We also loved the geckos! We felt like we were in paradise; the view... More

When we arrived in Captain Cook, we got an upgrade to the Plumeria Cottage which is really wonderful. Thank you very much, Viviane!! In the cottage everything's prepared for a beautiful stay on the west coast of Big Island. You will have a very well appointed kitchen with your daily breakfast in the fridge. Sitting on the terrace and having... More

My boyfriend and I were fortunate to stay here for 3 nights in August. Upon arrival, Viviane told us that we had been upgraded to the Plumeria Cottage which was a lovely surprise. Very good location. You have a great ocean view from the room. Great many birds around and lots of good vegetation around. Even though our arrival was at 11:30 PM, Ali one of the owners came down to help us and show us to our room. Vivian Baker is also very helpful. She helped plan our days in the Kona... More
