Pictures on website misleading our room looked nothing like it An okay place to stay if you're on a tight budget but our room was very aged with rusty gappy blinds and the handles falling off and the hallways really didn't smell nice most likely due to the stinky toilets Noisy in the mornings either from the popular restaurant downstairs... Manage hotel is certainly not "Fancy"! They provide a clean room with a bathroom with a shower, towels etc. The grounds are well kept-nice garden- and the view from the 3rd floor is very nice. Place has no elevator- be prepared to lug your baggage upstairs! The "receptionist" - who I believe is also the owner, is very courteous and... More

The Manago is an interesting place to stay. The room was very basic, and very clean. The bed was on the hard side, but pretty comfortable. The rooms in the newer part of the hotel, at the back, are quiet and off the street with views to the ocean. Great water pressure in the shower. Lots of hot water. The... More

Mahalo for such a great review! I'm glad our restaurant staff were able to get you in for dinner on Father's day. If you ever aren't able to make it for lunch or dinner, we do serve our pork chops at breakfast as well! More

This place is about the price, in the $60's range. The "newer" back building is workable... I wouldn't even consider the really ancient front bldg unless I was a 20 something backpacker or hitchhiker or somebody like that (actually I never WAS, so I guess I would have never, ever considered it). The back part is kind of like staying... More

This hotel is not super fancy, nor is it lavishly decorated, but it is, in my opinion a neat, historic hotel with a great restaurant, and very nice local people running the hotel. We had a room with a view of the ocean in the distance, and we were surrounded by nature on the back side of the hotel. There... More

1st floor room with balcony view of the garden and ocean. Sun sets to the far right. Basic amenities with double bed and a twin good for 3 people. Linens were clean. No TV, overhead fan good for a 70s temp type of night. Nice and friendly staff.

This is not a 5* resort. This is an old historical hotel. If you want a TV in your room, a phone in your room, or AC in your room, look elsewhere. This is not a resort. This is geared towards locals. The restaurant is GREAT! The roosters woke me up one day, other than that, great ocean view

If you like large beach resorts, loads of amenities that you rarely use, spend most of your time in the room, huge lobbies and larger bills, then the Manago is not for you. If on the other hand you enjoy historic hotels, you want a comfortable room with an equally comfortable bill....the Manago is your place to stay. Built in... More

The Manago is a Hawaiian institution. It is as reasonable as you are bound to find. The rooms are clean and nice, there isn't anything more than you need bathroom, bed, chair or two, and a desk. Oh and a lani with a killer view. The staff is wonderful and makes the whole visit complete.
