Trail Creek Ranch is a magical gem tucked into the mountains, offering good old fashioned hospitality and privacy on the most beautiful ranch in the valley of Jackson Hole. We offer a variety of accommodations, with a variety of price points, free wifi and an outdoor heated swimming pool. One of the last authentic Jackson Hole experiences. Close to Grand Teton National Park, the town of Jackson, and Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, but peace and quiet away from the crowds. This is a little slice of heaven!

The Trail Creek Ranch is the most naturally spectacular and somehow still cozy, and homey place we have been. Our cabin (Edelweiss) was situated perfectly among the majestic old pine trees, overlooking sweeping pastures. Each morning, the sun rose over the ranch and basked it all in a gorgeous amber glow. Walking down to the corrals and giving the horses carrots and good afternoon kisses was a true highlight. Our family had the most wonderful time; truly feeling like we belonged there.

I extensively researched where to stay in Jackson Hole for our visit in September and am so pleased that all of my work paid off with our stay at the beautiful Trail Creek Ranch! Save yourself the effort and just go ahead and book your stay here! You won't be disappointed.

We selected The Suite as we were drawn by the promise of an exceptional view and didn't necessarily need a full cabin or full kitchen. We were so pleased with this choice! It was the perfect amount of space for a couple.

We thoroughly enjoyed watching the sunrise, coffee in hand, over the horse fields from the peaceful balcony and comfortable chairs. We had almost total privacy except for the occasional passerby walking down to the horse barn. The view was so lovely that we ended up eating the majority of our meals out on the balcony. Luckily, the town of Wilson (just a minute down the road by car) has some good restaurants that offer to-go service, especially the super tasty Nora's Fish Creek Inn. You must try the banana bread French toast! And the huevos rancheros were the best my husband has ever had.

I included photos of The Suite's bathroom as there were no photos posted on their website, which made me a little wary that perhaps it was small and/or outdated. But it was really quite big and very nice, featuring a HUGE bathtub, lots of space and a nice showerhead. Again, very pleased with our choice!

I also included a photo of the kitchenette as it is more substantial than what is shown on the website. It has almost everything that a full kitchen would have except for a range and stovetop.

Even though we've been home for a few weeks now, and we stayed at many places along our 2,000-mile road trip, my mind keeps getting drawn back to our stay here. My husband brings it up occasionally as well, just how nice it was. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if we ever return to the area. Lodging in Jackson is pretty expensive, but Trail Creek Ranch is a great value and is just far enough from town to escape the constant traffic (yes, there was a LOT of traffic in Jackson for a town of only 10K!), but close enough to enjoy a meal in town and also access the hikes and outdoor recreation of the Grand Tetons in the same amount of time as staying in town.

The property also has a fabulously picturesque horse barn (not the one in my photo - that is simply used to store hay!) and some interesting history. Thanks to Alex for being such a great steward of this special piece of land!

My husband and I absolutely loved our stay at Trail Creek Ranch. We rented the "Betty Suite" for 3 nights and wished we had reserved for longer. The room was clean, cozy, functional, and had the best view of the sunrise, ranch property, and mountains in the distance! It snowed during our stay, but we can't wait to book another trip back to really enjoy the patio attached to the suite. We also loved the location of the property - Wilson is small, but filled with delicious places to eat and in close to proximity to everything. Alex and her husband were wonderful hosts, very personable, and extremely helpful with suggestions on what to do and see in the area. Our original fly fishing trip was cancelled due to the snow, but Alex's husband was able to connect us to another wonderful fishing guide in the area. We had so much fun with our guide, Jay, and caught large trout on the South Fork of the Snake River. Also, they suggested a great hike, Garnet Canyon, in Teton Park. All in all, I would highly recommend a stay at Trail Creek Ranch when visiting Jackson Hole.

Stayed with my two teenagers for a week at Trail Creek Ranch in mid June. Right out the door is a summer (and winter) wonderland. Daily hikes and rides - right out your door - resulted in Moose sightings, amazing views and some of the most fun and varied mountain biking terrain you'll find anywhere. If you're an avid rider check Trailforks and just see how perfect this location is for mountain biking of all types.

We stayed in Alex's Cabin and The Ritz. Both accommodated our needs well. Simple, clean, rustic. Exactly what you need for the generally limited time you'll likely be spending in them. Views are amazing and the location provides quick access to hwy. Wilson is a few minutes away and has much of what you'll need in a hurry (restaurants, general store, outdoor sporting goods, coffee, etc), Jackson is only 10 mins or so away, the village about the same.

Friendly and accommodating staff will go the extra mile to make sure you have your activities planned out with suggestions and even offered to loan some gear we might have needed for our Grand Teton national park adventures.

My wife and I spent a week in February in Alex's Cabin at the Trail Creek Ranch. The cabin is very comfortable with a full kitchen and bathroom, bedroom and living/dining area which looks out over the magnificent ranch property with mountains and moose in view. The ranch is a short drive to the towns of Wilson and Jackson where there are numerous shopping and dining options. Alex, Jules and Mike provided exceptional hospitality with recommendations for activities and dining as well as the opportunity to share in feeding the animals. There are a number of other suites and cabins on the property but the size of the ranch makes you feel like you have the beautiful property to yourself. The ranch receives significantly more snow than the nearby towns though the roads in and out are well maintained in the midst of the winter wonderland. A stay here is a unique lodging exerience without compromise and we will be back for a fall visit!

My daughter & I desperately needed a getaway from the craziness of life in Philly. I stumbled on TCR & it looked good. We booked Alex's cabin because it has a kitchen, washer & dryer, and a cozy wood stove. I can't say enough good things about how much we enjoyed our stay. Alex & Mike were friendly and welcoming, but not intrusive. The cabin was sparkling clean and in such breathtaking surroundings, we would sometimes just sit on the front porch and FEEL the serenity. If I could give 10 stars I would.

We stayed for a week at Trail Creek Ranch with our grandson in August. It is right outside of Wilson, and very quiet, with deer and other wild animals roaming the premises. We stayed four nights in a sweet little cabin and three nights in a room with a porch that overlooks the coral where horses are boarded. We hiked from the Ranch up to Crater Lake, passing through beautiful wild flowered meadows.
It was perfect for us, and Alexandria and the other staff were exceptionally helpful. When we failed to move our things when we were scheduled to move because I confused the dates, all of our things were moved for us in a perfectly organized way.

The Trail Creek Ranch and Alexandria helped us planned most of our daily activities, including hiking, horseback riding, and river rafting.

The property was left to a local Conservancy but during the summer cabins and rooms are rented and visitors are away from the crowds of Jackson City, but it is not far away. Many of the visitors come year after year.
Our grandson loved a daily dip in the pool in some down time between our various outdoor activities. Alexandria has lots of good suggestions about what to do in Jackson Hole (which refers to the Valley).

I highly recommend it.

I cannot say enough about our 3 night stay at Trail Creek Ranch. Our hosts Alex and Mike were so hospitable and made us feel like home from the moment we arrived. We stayed at the cabin “The Ritz” and it was perfect for our family of 4. There is a bedroom upstairs with 2 twin beds and then the queen room down. A grill, coffee maker, mini fridge, and small kitchen with dishes, utensils etc. would have allowed for us to cook if we had wanted to. But we chose to eat at the several amazing restaurants nearby. Wilson is a 1.5 mile drive with some incredible places - Nora’s Fishcreek for breakfast is a must! And Streetcar is an excellent choice with a great variety of quality food from Tacos, hamburgers, Poke bowls, fresh salads, and more. Or head into Jackson for more great choices - Snake River Brewing is recommended. We also were able to book a Wildlife safari with Brush Buck into the Tetons and it was incredible. We saw a grizzly and 4 cubs, a moose, mule deer, elk, pronghorn, and marmots. The boys also had an AMAZING guided fishing expedition up to Jenny lake (the Snake River is not fishable this time of year but the lake trout was abundant!).
But back to the ranch. The Ritz cabin is adorable with a screened-in porch, fireplace, winding staircase and HUGE open windows that allowed us to admire the incredible view. Lilacs were left for us upon our arrival. The property is a horse ranch. Also there are a bunch of other cabins to choose from so if you need something larger, etc. check out the website. The horses are from private borders so you can’t ride them, but you can feed them apples or carrots; which was the highlight of our experience here. Just spending time with the horses, walking trails, etc. There are several trailheads 1/2 mi up the road from the ranch, which one leads you up to to an incredible calm lake at the top of Teton Pass. I would HIGHLY recommend this amazing gem in Jackson Hole. It was the perfect place to rest and experience being on a horse ranch and enjoying the majesty of the Tetons. I cannot thank Alex and Mike enough for everything!!!

We recently stayed as a family of four for three nights and wished it was for twice as long. The scenery is stunning, the location very convenient and the cabins very comfortable. Alex was a wonderful host, we felt welcomed and at home as soon as we arrived. The kid’s especially enjoyed the horses who were so friendly and happy to come to the fence and let the kids pet and feed them. The beds were very comfortable with especially cozy bedding which was greatly appreciated. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the ranch to anyone and can’t wait to come back.

In a world of chaos and uncertainty, the Trail Creek Ranch is welcoming, and offers peace and a chance to slow down. The accommodations are comfortable with thoughtful touches, the location is perfect for a getaway while still being close to tourist spots, and the view is heavenly. Additionally, I've never stayed anywhere so quiet and serene. My advice: take a telescope to view the stars since there isn't any light pollution and spend time watching the horses run into the field in the evening. You won't regret staying at the Trail Creek Ranch!

There is a washer and dryer in Alexs Cabin. No public ones, but we can offer to do a load for $20. Washed, dryed and folded.😎

I would highly recommend a 4 wheel drive vehicle. They get A LOT of snow. You won’t drive through high mountains to get to Wilson but definitely check the forecast. It’s worth it. Such a beautiful & peaceful place! Good luck & safe travels!❤️🇺🇸
