This was more than we would have normally paid for a night in the rv with only electricity, but you have to consider the area. Spaghetti Bolognese at a local restaurant is nearly $20! There is water close to fill your tank, there is a dump station on site, they have bins for trash & recycling, laundry facilities, and several bins around the campground for dog waste- and they provide bags! The sites are a little close together for my preference, but noise was not a problem and most people seemed to be friendly. And we had a view of the Tetons! The biggest downside is the traffic which is a problem no matter where you stay. I would recommend this campground.
We feel so lucky to have found this gem. After quite a bit of searching, we decided to book at Fireside Resort. The cabins just looked so cute, cozy and welcoming from the photos and, to top it off, offered a 20% discount to Ikon Pass holders! We also liked the fact that the cabins didn't share walls, so we wouldn't have to worry about hearing neighbors like you would in a normal hotel situation. We couldn't have been more pleased with our stay. The cabins are amazing and so roomy on the inside, even though they look small on the outside. Having a full living room, fireplace, bathroom and bedroom (with a super cozy bed) and a mostly full kitchen was just fantastic. And all the windows and ability to let so much light in was wonderful. Parking is super easy and it's great to have a deck and picnic table for loading/unloading. Since it was winter, we didn't spend too much time outside, but how cool to have a nice place to sit and your own personal outdoor fire pit! We also made use of the hot tub and laundry facilities, which was so convenient given we were here the latter part of a week-long trip – we planned ahead and were able to pack less had we not been able to do laundry. We absolutely would love to stay here again. It's perfectly halfway between the town of Jackson and Jackson Hole mountain. It's just a short walk to the bus stop in front of Calico Restaurant and Bar. TIPS FOR SKIERS: We found an excellent walking shortcut to the Calico bus stop by cutting through the neighborhood just to the south of Fireside resort (Hawthorne Ln. to Pizza Ln.). Much better than going out on the main road. Also, the bus fares were confusing, but it is $1 cash each way from Calico to Jackson Hole Mtn. and back. Make sure you have your fare ready. Also, you need to push a button in the bus stop shelter to go either northbound (to mtn) or southbound (to town) so that the bus will know to stop there.…
RV sites in pitiful shape, loose ungraded gravel, weeds, uncut grass, dumpsters overflowing, firepits a joke. Don't expect water hookup, that's an extra that will cost you dearly. This place carries a 2.5 star rating that is 4 stars over what it should be. Extorsion and rape better describes this place.
My boyfriend and I stayed at this campground for 1 night, but I wish we stayed longer. The showers and bathrooms were cleaner than some of the hotels we had stayed at on our trip. The sites had electric hookups and water. Beautiful view of the stars at night.
My wife and I stayed 3 nights in our RV at this property. We want to come back and stay in one of the super cool and unique tiny houses that are part of the property. The staff here was excellent and the location is perfect.
