Office personnel are very nice--that's it. The gravel park is nothing more than that. Yes, you get full hookups but for 1/2 the price other RV parks in the area give you grass, free ice-cream at the Cody Cattle Company (show and dinner not to be missed). Check out the nearby state park that has w/e and a dump stating with all sites being drive thru. The bath house has three individual rooms--the middle one never opened to the combination -- checked by me and two neighbors who also tried using it. This is the first time that I've ever been to an RV park restroom that didn't have any soap and both electric hand driers had signs (that appeared to be month's old) stating that they didn't work! No Soap; No Towels?? The site we had was a drive thru that was level. The pool was small (not many parks with pools in the area if this is important to you). Did not try their hot tub. The office/store was nice and had a good selection of RV items but there is an ACE Hardware in Cody (roughly 17 miles away) that has a full RV section.

Pretty views all around, but because it’s a valley there are gusty winds. Has a lot of amenities (laundry, pool, hot tub, restaurant, cafe, full hookup, playground). Paid services (laundry and eateries) are all overpriced, but they get away with it because there is nothing else nearby as an alternative. The entire campground is basically just gravel except for the edges. We had dogs and had no real great spot to walk them unless we wanted to walk them near the playground where kids were often running. They could stand to add a dog run. I also wish they had a coin machine seeing as their $4 washing machine and $4 dryers only accept quarters. They say you can go into the office to make change but myself and two other families were all scrambling Sunday night because the office was closed.

Changed a reservation for June to August and added 2 additional days that was charged to my credit card separately. Got refund for original booking minus fee but they won’t give me back refund for additional days. Had to contact my credit card and dispute it. I added 2 days of camping and it was billed as restaurant and entertainment. We were broke down in Kentucky. Customer service is awful. They won’t let me talk to the person Alicia and she won’t return my calls.

We were basically in a gravel pit neck and neck with other campers. This is a windy area, be warned. Laundry was overpriced at $4 to wash and $4 to dry. No fenced in dog park. Hours of restaurant and coffee shop were spotty. Water pressure was awful - they blamed it on the flooding in Yellowstone, said they fixed it, they did not. NO WIFI!

Do NOT stay here. We were booked for Monday June 13-17 & paid ahead. We left early June 15, 2022. We were in cabin #3. The water was a trickle out of the sink & there was no way to take a shower with almost zero water pressure. The TV did not work. The only way to fill up the coffee pot was to get a bag of ice- put it in the ice bucket and let it melt over night so we could fill the water dispenser. Hardly enough water to brush your teeth or even wash your hands. We asked about this the first day but nothing changed. Honestly a waste of our money. We were so disappointed. My lesson; before paying check the room, lights, water pressure, bed, and see if the TV works. Also this cabin had few plugs for charging any device. We hooked into a rigged up extension power cord. Again - drive on & find another place to stay.

We stayed one night in the campground and can certainly tell you that it was the WORST experience of our 10 day trip. The lady (owner) and her partner (the Manager) are beyond RUDE! The man especially should not be in the hospitality business as he has serious ANGER issues and needs medical help. The bathrooms were very dirty (literally potty on the floors and no one to clean) No toilet papers in the bathrooms. Dirty showers and the Water in the showers was cold. Seems like they are saving anywhere and everywhere that they can and when you go tell them and ask to provide services they kick you out of their camp grounds. This is the service you get by staying at Yellowstone Valley Inn. Worst! Worst! Worst place to stay.

If you're visiting the Cody, Wyoming, area, this is the campground closest to Yellowstone. That's the only thing in this campground's favor although that's a relative statement - you'll still have a 20-30 minute drive to Yellowstone. The lady behind the desk is unfriendly and abrupt, if not rude. It's the only campground where I've ever been required to sign a liability waiver to stay in the campground. The entire campground is one field of gravel, so it's hard to tell where the roads end and the sites begin. You line up your rig on the electrical power pedestal and hope you're properly in your site. There is a little patch of grass behind the office, but otherwise nothing in the campground is attractive at all. I will admit the Shoshone River runs right next to it and it is gorgeous. There is nowhere to walk your dog - they are completely pet-unfriendly despite claims on the website - and require you to sign a statement that you will not leave your dog in your RV at all. There is a restaurant on-site, but I cannot recommend it. While we were there, they had a dinner buffet, the menu was fried chicken and meatloaf, with a couple of veggies, including collards, mashed potatoes and Mac n cheese, and a salad bar. You got one trip through the buffet, and the price didn't include drink or dessert. The cost was $27 per person. For that price, we drove into Cody and had a good meal at a proper restaurant for half the cost. When we go back to Yellowstone, we will definitely find somewhere else to stay.

Booked this hotel in March in preparation of our 3 week, 8 state tour of the west in July. I even called the week before leaving to confirm our reservation. I was never told about staff shortages and changes to their breakfast offerings etc. Upon arrival, our room was very dated and had a strange odor and The WiFi never worked! When I became aware of the lack of cleaning and food available I asked to speak to the manager and was expecting the option of canceling so that I could move to a hotel in town or atleast some compensation but was met by an extremely rude manager who just kept repeating that there are NO REFUNDS for any reason and pretty much told me to go screw! I asked her why she doesn’t change her website to reflect these changes and she said “you should check your email”. Excuse me but I’ve been busy driving around the country!!! This is the worst case of bait and switch that I’ve ever encountered!!! This hotel is in the middle of nowhere and you must go 30 min into town for everything. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra $50 a night for convenient, modern, friendly and comfortable sleeping arrangements.

The good: The surrounding area is beautiful and it is located only about 34 miles from Yellowstone east entrance. The lots are not too close together. The bad: This campground charges a premium and is literally just a large gravel parking lot. They advertise WiFi but it either wouldn’t connect or was very slow. We started to use the restaurant one evening but they only had a buffet, which was $27 per person. We declined. For $100 a night we would have expected much more. I wouldn’t stay here again, to be honest

Where do I begin. We booked this property due to the amenities, mainly the hot breakfast and the coffee bar. This was not case. They changed their policies and breakfast 6/1/2021, but sent out an email on 7/2/2021, the day before check-in stating the changes. I don't know about you, but on vacation, I normally don't check my email often. At check-in they didn't go over any changes to the policies or changes in available amenities. It wasn't until the next day when I asked about the hot breakfast I was notified of the email that was sent out. Very frustrating. Really wanted to change to a different property at that point, but they have a no refund policy as well. In addition to the breakfast issue, every meal the evening restaurant cooked smelled up our room. At over $200 per night, this is not acceptable. Spoke with the front desk and they stated it was not their problem. Again, unacceptable answer. I have gone as far as contacting the CEO of the company and she won't do anything to remedy the issues nor adjust the room rate to compensate for the need to find viable breakfast locations and spray to cover the restaurant smells. I would never stay at this property again, nor use any other business owned by the CEO.
