We needed a place to bed down for one night on our way back to Denver. We found the Tea Kettle Ranch B&B outside of Torrington, WY. And what a find!! Calvin and Isabel are fantastic. Their home is immaculate, comfortable and welcoming. The views from the rooms are wonderful. We availed ourselves of the BBQ steak dinner they offer... More

If I made double what I do, I would have no problem giving this a 5. As it is, I would be hard-pressed to find a better view or a more pleasant couple of owners. I definitely felt like I got my money's worth, even though I am a cheapskate. The steak on a stone was great and the sides... More

When you drive out of Torrington you realise that this is going to be somewhere special. This B&B is tucked away but in a spectacular location, with wonderful views over the surrounding countryside. We enjoyed watching the thunderstorm circle the surrounding hills, before waking up to beautiful blue skies. The large Skyline Suite had excellent views across the surrounding countryside.... More

We only spent one night on a drive from Denver to Rapid City, but we wish we could have stayed longer. Isabel and Calvin are lovely people and were completely accommodating. They made us feel like friends. Their home is about 13 miles from Torrington, with nothing around but incredible views. You will experience quiet and nature. And fascinating conversation... More

Fantastic place to stay, and I'm sad we only had one night here. The ranch is far removed from any near by towns and you really get a feeling for what it means to be "of the grid". It's a little hard to find, but worth the hunt.

Calvin and Isabel are wonderful. We are so thankful for the great stay. Steak on a stone was delicious and fun. Tea Kettle views are wonderful and unforgettable. We are always welcomed as family at the Tea Kettle. We will always be grateful for our Wyoming family. Thank You.

It was great to see you again! Friendships are great when the friends are close at hand and awesome when they span many miles and the passage of time. Thanks for catching us up on your family and professional events during your stay. We look forward to seeing you again when your travels bring you to the Tea Kettle Ranch... More

I cannot rave enough about Calvin & Isabel Hoy, the hosts at Tea Kettle Ranch B&B. They have found just the right place between treating you like a good friend of the family and treating you like a paying guest. Their home was built in 2000 (2001?) and they have been hosting B&B guests for 13 years or so now.... More

One of the favorite meals for guests is Steak-on-a-Stone. Each guest cooks his own steak at the table on a heated piece of granite. The steak is done just the way you like it since you are the cook! We love sharing our experiences of growing up in this area and having deep roots to the land. We are always... More

We stayed for one night at the Tea Kettle Ranch, and wish that our stay had been longer! The hosts, both long-time residents of the area, were charming and extremely welcoming. We especially enjoyed hearing about how their ancestors came to the area to farm and ranch-- it really gave us perspective on this beautiful place in the United States.... More

We love the land where we live and appreciate sharing our spacious views and comforting peace and quiet. We encourage guests to stay for more than one night to re-discover the slower pace and simple life in this area. We were born, raised, married and continue to live within the county where our ancestors settled and carved out a life.... More

We had a wonderful stay at Tea Kettle Ranch. Like others, we benefited from the hospitality of our hosts, Isabel and Calvin, and enjoyed speaking with them about the area and its history, which they have a long and deep relationship with. The views of the vast open landscape from the hilltop where the ranch is located are spectacular, and... More

One of the treats for visitors is a trip to the local sale barn. Watching a live cattle auction is free, educational and often entertaining. Sales are every Friday throughout the year. Sales may be as often as three times per week during the fall run. Anyone may attend the sale and it's a come-as-you-are event as well as come-and-go... More

These are just a few of the descriptions that come to mind concerning the Tea Kettle Ranch B and B. Isabel and Calvin are outstanding hosts. The location, with wonderful views of the Wyoming prairie, awesome sunrises and sunsets, and plenty of solitude, was ideal. Breakfast was great. Dinner---steak on a stone---was the best meal we had on our 14... More
