The room was perfectly okay, for Thermopolis. Price was okay, also. My husband and I just wanted a bed to sleep in & a clean room. That is what we got. Only complaints is the hideous décor (could you guys just spend a few bucks to update pictures on the walls). Also, they told us there would be complimentary coffee... More

Thank you for your review. We are updating pictures and hanging up ones similar to what you saw in the lobby. The office usually opens up at 7:30am, so the desk clerk must have been running a few minutes behind...so I apologize for not getting our breakfast. Guests are free to take the food off the table in the lobby... More

Room 16 - we paid the extra few dollars for a two room suite. What a nice surprise on the first night of our cross country motorcycle trip. This ma and pop type motel met all of our needs. The staff greeted us and were friendly and helpful. We opened the door to our room and was immediately pleased. The... More

Bears, bears everywhere! Another "don't judge a book by its cover" place. We walked into a huge room and another room for our companion. Both had a large table and television. The bath was so clean and neat. I loved the little touches like pretty black metal acorn and leaf towel hangers and toilet rolls to match. Lots of shampoo... More

Thanks for taking the time to review our motel. I'm glad you liked the little extra touches that we add to the rooms - and most importantly that you had a good nights sleep. Thanks again. More

Stayed at the Elk Antler for a week in June. It's an OK place, nice decor, good location, friendly owners. The only flaw is that the cleaning staff isn't very efficient or consistent. Waste baskets were rarely emptied, even when full, until they were placed at the front door where they couldn't be missed. Asked for more TP...had to go... More

Thanks for taking the time to do a review. I am going to every room each day after the housekeeping staff is done to make sure that the rooms are kept to the high standards that we want to maintain. Thanks for making us aware of the issues that you had and they will not be issues again. Thanks for... More

We're city folk and decided to stay the night in Thermopolis on our way to Yellowstone. We're used to name brand hotels (Hilton, Hampton Inn & Suites, etc.) so when we saw "Days Inn," "Paintbrush Motel," "Rainbow Motel," etc..... we weren't really sure what we were getting into. The Best Western is the highest price point in the town, but... More

Two bed units are on the second floor and since my travel companion has difficulty with stairs, the owner offered us two units on the first floor for the same price as one. One of the units offered had bunk beds as well as a queen bed so was good for us. When we checked out the next day, she... More

We were given room #20 upon arrival. We went to the room but it was cold so we looked around to find a way to turn the heat up. I found a thermostat but could not locate a radiator at first. There was no heat in the room at all. I finally found the radiator which was below the A/C... More

The room was clean, the staff was really friendly and even though I had my dog with me they were extremely accommodating. I would, absolutely stay here again. The motif was very rustic. The location was really good, also. There was a nearby grocery store and downtown is only a few, short blocks away.

Convenient location on edge of town next to the main road and a petrol station which sells all sorts of stuff. Lots of carved bears on the veranda which is a nice touch. The receptionist was efficient but disinterested. Free crisps and sweets available in reception. Shower was powerful, bed comfortable and free water in ice box.

I stayed one night, the room was nicely remodelled but the Queen Bed in Room 113 was awful. The pit in the center of the bed could swallow a hippopotamus. Other than this issue I liked the place, the bathroom was freshly remodelled and the room was quite clean. The AC worked.

Thank you for letting us know about the bed. We will check it out and see if we need a new mattress. We regularly change our mattresses, but sometimes a guest has broken a board on the foundation. We want our guests to have the most comfortable stay possible and unless they let us know, we can't make the necessary... More
