Best value in Jackson Hole. Modest but efficient for a short stay. Everything you need and staff is very accommodating. Common area has games, pool table, ping pong, tv, fridge, microwave, laundry, and much more.

We enjoyed our stay for two nights. Our room was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. The kids enjoyed the playing pool and checkers in the lounge. Would definitely stay here again. Neat little place.

For the price, this place beats the pants off any other accommodation in Grand Teton National Park and in Yellowstone. This place is budget style living in a lodge environment intended for winter skiers, so if you require Fairmont luxury pampering costing 10X's the price, this place isn't for you. Everything about this place is the minimum: small rooms with tight spacing, bunk beds, tiny bathrooms with almost no countertop space, minimum lighting, small thin towels, absolutely bare minimum of basics with nothing more. BUT...it has EVERYTHING, and even a communal kitchen area and all-day coffee and tea, toiletries and toothpaste for knapsackers, and a comfortable eating area in the lower level. If you need a place simply to stay for the night that is clean and isn't overkilled with unneeded luxury items, this is the perfect place.

The Hostel was a solid choice for our stay in Jackson in late May. It certainly shows its age, but the amenities were solid and it had everything we needed for a pleasant rest before exploring the area - a soft bed, warm bedding, and a hot shower. The common areas are quite cute and pleasant as well, and there is plenty of outdoor seating if you want to enjoy a meal in nice weather. Definitely a step up from several hostels I have stayed in on the East coast. The reason this isn't getting 5 stars- due to its age, the walls seem thin and I did wake one morning to several children crying in a room nearby. It was muffled and the kids were being loud, but it was audible enough to wake my brother and myself up. Hence, set your expectations appropriately - it is a place to crash; it is probably not a room you will want to stay in all day, or somewhere you will be able to sleep in very long.

When I booked our room at The Hostel I did so because of the positive reviews here. This was one of 11 cities where I booked lodging for a 23 day trip with my wife. We arrived, took one look at the room, sat on the bed, and knew we couldn’t stay here. I’ve had three lower back operations including a spinal fusion. My wife has a herniated disc in her lower back and she has severe allergies during the pollen season, which had just begun here. There is no air conditioning and she can’t open windows to sleep. I went to the front desk and asked if I could recover any of my money if I left immediately. The man working in the office told me they could refund 50% of what I had paid in total. I considered this completely fair and commend them for their customer service. This was my mistake - not theirs. This place is exactly as described on their website. Make no mistake - this is the perfect place for snow ski enthusiasts who want to ski all day, literally ski right back to Teton Village, take a shower, go to dinner or enjoy their common rooms. I’m an ex-water skier, can’t fathom being on skis leaning forward, and I’m too old to start now. This is a great place to stay if you are on a budget but want to have fun with people who don’t mind spending $300+ per night on a room.
