Tacky, tacky. We were desperate for a place to stay, and this one barely filled the bill. To enumerate all the problems would take all day. Here are a few: floor in bathroom split, exposing sub-flooring and something shedding from the crack. Bathroom floor under sink is spongy and will soon be crashing through. Bathroom door will not stay shut. No mention was made regarding NO PET policy when I booked. Television, although it is new, cannot get it to work. Parking, although graveled, had sticky mud coming through. Microwave stand door came off in my hand. Freezer door in refrigerator missing. Sheets are threadbare, pillows are flat, mattresses hard and uncomfortable. Altogether unsatisfactory and not worth the price paid. I DO NOT recommend it, stay in Worland or Buffalo. It will be worth the drive.

Bed, AC, TV, bathroom, toiletries, phone. No frills, just a place to crash after a long drive before venturing into the bighorns for some backpacking. Right on the main road of tensleep, close to everything. Hard to not be close, I suppose, tensleep is tiny.

This motel is managed remotely so you need either internet or cell phone access on the day of arrival to get your room code - and given the poor coverage in this area could pose a problem. The rooms were basic and old fashioned. The window blinds did not keep out the sun. The walls were thin - I could hear next door. There were three rooms and some outdoor seating, that was it except a closed office.

The rooms were old & dingy, floors were crooked, shower head did not work properly, the mattress was 100 years old, it was a room worth $35.00/night. I would advise sleeping in your car or driving to another town before staying at this place. The place needs a complete overhaul. The TV was new everything else was at least 40 yrs old.

My family stayed in the apartment from August 16th to the 19tth. The apartment is a couple blocks from the motel. The apartment itself was clean and neat. However, to get to the apartment, you needed to go through an entryway that had a terrible odor. Also, though the website says there is free wifi, none was available in the apartment. Also, there was no contact information provided in the apartment -- and no telephone. I tried to contact the motel about this, but my phone calls were not answered and my messages not returned. I also tried to go to the motel to speak to someone, but no one staffs the motel. I have never encountered this lack of service. I was very disappointed.

Ok, this was my second stay at the Log Cabin in Ten Sleep. The first stay was in 2011 and this second stay was just a few weeks ago in mid-July, 2014. The Log Cabin has gone way downhill since my first stay in 2011. I appreciate the fact that the Log Cabin in tiny little Ten Sleep, WY [a town, by the way, well worth visiting and well worth spending a little bit of time exploring the surrounding area] . . . so I'm not expecting national hotel chain quality by any means . . . but even with that caveat I must say . . . THE LOG CABIN IS IN A WORD . . . a DUMP! The term "rustic" would be generous when describing the Log Cabin. Why? Well, let's see, the carpet is threadbare and of uncertain cleanliness, the towels were small, old, cheap, and threadbare, the floor in the bathroom was coming up, and so was the floor in the small unequipped kitchen which "featured" exposed sub-flooring, the faucet in the bathroom was missing the diffuser and the faucet handles were sticky so that every time you'd turn on the water the water would blast into and then out of the sink and onto you and the the floor, the shower drain cover was not attached to the shower drain, the walls of the bathroom looked like they were salvaged out of a wrecked double-wide trailer, our room's furnishing looked like stuff even the Salvation Army would reject, electrical connections were via an electrical extension cord [the type you'd use in your garage. Where is the Fire Marshal?], the bed was okay but the cleanliness of the threadbare bedspreads, sheets and pillows was questionable, the outside of the motel was dusty and dirty [ok, a little dust is expected since the parking area is, after all, all-gravel] and the bench outside our room was covered in dust and worn out paint. I could go on and on but suffice it to say, again . . . the place is a DUMP! The Log Cabin is a neglected property and not worth the $74 a night we paid other than for the fact that there are not a lot of alternatives in Ten Sleep. Too bad, because Ten Sleep is a great little town that I always enjoy visiting and it deserves better. I will be back to Ten Sleep, but I will NOT stay at the Log Cabin again unless it receives a major upgrade or demolition and rebuild!. There is another motel in town to try on the next visit.

Stayed here in September 2013. We reserved ahead of time but that probably was not necessary, as there were only a handful of guests. Prior to arrival, we received a friendly text message with the door combo so a formal check-in was not necessary. The room was nothing spectacular - dated furnishings, wood paneling, etc. but it was typical of budget accommodations, especially in WY. Our group had two rooms; one was smaller and a bit dark, while the other was somewhat brighter. Both rooms were clean and comfortable. I believe the place is under new management so perhaps that will lead to some updates. Either way, it made for a good place to rest our heads before exploring the nearby Bighorn National Forest.

We reserved a room at this motel in Sept. of 2010 and to our great dismay we found it to be a horribly run down dump, mostly frequented by groups of hunters. When we booked the room it was based on a photo of a cute little log cabin style place. We arrived to find the dirt parking lot had one old beatup dented/rusted pickup truck belonging to the only other person staying there who stated he was a "regular". The proprietor lived in a dumpy mobile home that also served as the office and the sign out front of the motel states that it's "American Owned" or something that seemed to give it a "White Is Right" atmosphere. Once in our room we found it to be the worst we've ever stayed in. The old metal gas stove's top was literally beat up and sagging with dents, had to light it ourselves and was half afraid it would blow up doing so as it was sooty and covered with cobwebs. Once lit it fragranced the room with a burnt dust smell. The bathroom shower head had the flange falling off the wall, the tub drain was filthy and the TV (a tiny B/W portable that got barely one station!) was plugged into an electrical strip along with an old funky air conditioner and the clock radio. That mess of wires was taped together on the wall alongside the dumpy desk the phone sat on. Looked like an electrical fire waiting to happen. The window frame around the air conditioner was rotted and there was mold along it. We were afraid to put our luggage on the floor which was covered in ratty old carpet that should've been removed years ago due to stains and excessive wear. The sole other guest at the motel dragged out an ice chest and sat on one of the dirty white plastic summer chairs outside of the rooms and proceeded to drink beer all evening. He claimed that the owner wasn't doing much to keep the place up as it was on the market for sale at the time. Ten Sleep Wyoming is a town with one gas station that doesn't sell alcohol because the town is so small that the only place allowed a liquor license is the local saloon, which doubles as the town's only place to get a meal as well. Fortunately we had some of our own picnic leftovers with us and we don't drink alcohol that often. Granted, Ten Sleep has a few interesting old buildings and landscapes but you can take all the photos you want in 15 minutes and then keep on traveling to find a much better place to stay! Couldn't get out of that motel fast enough!

My husband, daughter and I stayed at the Guest House at the Log Cabin Motel. The house was spacious with beautiful cabin-esque finishes, and CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN!!!! There were 3 separate bedrooms with 2 separate beds in each room which made for wonderful sleeping as well as 2 full baths. The kitchen was fully equiped and even had beautiful Calphalon cook-wear. We were impressed! Ten Sleep was a wonderful, wild-west little town. We enjoyed walking up and down mainstreet directly from the motel. The scenery is unmatched in and around Ten Sleep....simply breathtaking! We will be back!!
