We are back home in New York and trying to adjust to normal life, after a week in the spectacular surroundings of the Red Reflet Ranch. Sometimes we even question if we were actually there, since all the elements of our trip were truly unbelievable: the lodgings, the food, the ac

Bob and Lulu have left no stone unturned with this magical palace of splendor.... every detail is divine. From the food to the chalets to the outdoor activities, me and my children were in paradise from morning to night. From the ziplining to the fishing to the hiking to the rel

This vacation was a celebration of my 50th birthday with long time girlfriends. I specifically chose this ranch due to its ratings and the availability of renting a VRBO instead of doing the all-inclusive thing, although it was certainly something we heavily considered for weeks

I had the pleasure of sharing 5 fabulous days in March at this gorgeous ranch with my sister, daughter, and two nieces and we all couldn't have been more delighted with everything they had to offer. I wasn't sure how the snowstorm might affect our options, but it didn't slow us

I am reviewing a ranch vacation as a Christmas gift. Could provide me with a range of your rates for the month of June. We would be staying four days and would like your entire lodge for our family of 6. Do you charge seperately for the activities, like horseback riding or mountain biking? Thank you.
I am attaching my review from this past Summer: “Our Stay at the Panorama Chalet” Reviewed June 25, 2016 Our family just left after having spent the past six days and five nights at the ranch. We could not have been more impressed! If you are seeking a ranch vacation with great riding, unlimited activities, five star accommodations and gourmet food, this is definitely the place for you. We are not exactly a rugged/outdoor type family and so we really appreciated the beautiful house we stayed in complete with a steam shower, extremely comfortable beds, a fully stocked refrigerator (they will ask you in advance what you want them to stock in your room and Laurence provided me with my Coke Zeros despite what I would later discover to be her well expressed disdain for sugar substitutes :) The ranch is set up with four chalets and so the maximum capacity of the ranch is basically four families (although one of the chalets is quite large and can fit approximately 10 people) and the week that we were there, by a weird but lucky coincidence for us, we were the only guests on the property. The scenery at the ranch is beautiful. The horseback riding was wonderful (especially the mountain cabin ride) and the amenities on the ranch unlimited. In addition to the horseback riding (which you can do every day), we especially enjoyed the ATV's, dirt bikes and shooting. Randy who handles all of the firearms and archery really made an effort to make our shooting varied and interesting. The ranch is run by a retired couple, Bob and Laurence, who despite their financial resources have elected to continue the hard work of running the ranch. They were gracious hosts, and it is apparent that Laurence in particular is incredibly concerned about making sure that your vacation is as perfect as it can be. This extends from the first class condition of all of the chalets to the emphasis on catering to your every want and desire for activities at the ranch. The general manager Sarah was wonderful and made sure in a dozen ways that everything ran perfectly She has a very unique background having abandoned her career as a geology professor at the University of Michigan. Despite her incredible academic pedigree and obvious brilliance, she was warm, friendly and completely unpretentious. We should not have been surprised as most truly exceptional people like her tend to be very sincere individuals with nothing left to prove. The ranch is staffed with very enthusiastic interns (mostly college students with different expertise) and like the rest of the staff, they were warm, friendly and very competent in their different areas of expertise. We especially enjoyed riding with Coulter and Chance and our initial riding lesson with Hannah and Tammy. All four were real cowboys and cowgirls who were patient with our lack of riding experience. The food at the ranch was also extraordinary and was much more akin to fine dining than anything you would encounter at all but the top hotels in the world. If I had one complaint, it was that the food was so rich and so gourmet that we found ourselves very happy to see a more ordinary presentation of ribs and bbq our last night. Matthew the chef (there is also a separate pastry chef) never served the same dish twice the whole time we were there despite cooking lunch and dinner every day. We are not drinkers, but the place has an open bar and an extensive wine collection and Bob was very knowledgeable in that area. Although we are not fishermen, the fishing and fly fishing at and near the ranch are apparently exemplary. We did not tackle anything nearly so advanced, but Sarah and Darcy (who were also terrific and very warm and friendly) took us up to a beautiful lake and arranged for us to fish there, going so far as to arrange for kayaks and canoes. Although we did not catch anything (the fish were biting-we were just too lame to reel any in) the scenery was breathtaking and the company was wonderful. One of the best things about the ranch is that there are almost no extras. Other than my wife's wonderful message (which was very reasonably priced) there was nothing else that we paid for. I had forgotten that a 15% gratuity is included in the rate, so that definitely made things easy check-out. In summary, the best thing I can say about the ranch is that if you want to do something every minute, you can. We swam in the pond and played on the rope swings and zip-line that were attached to it. My wife and daughter did yoga, I worked out every day at the gym. We did the four zip-lines on the property and my kids (13 and 14) loved driving their own ATV's and Polaris vehicles. On the other hand, if all you want to do is relax, the accommodations and food are so wonderful that having a lazy vacation is also an option. We would definitely return.

Hi! Looking to stay here at the Ranch. Me, my husband and 11 year old son. What type of cloths do you need in June? What do you need to bring for 6 days and 5 nights? Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.
I have to apologize as I did not see your response and was about to send another message! ... Riding boots usually have a smooth sole for safety in case you have to dismount your horse quickly ... we do have some here as well ... Jeans, shorts, T-shirts and a light jacket are recommended ... personal toiletries as shampoo, conditioner, shower gel etc are stocked in your chalet ... including laundry soap of course! It is a wonderful vacation, with a lot of wilderness and wildlife and very beautiful settings ... I hope you have been on our website? ... you may google red reflet ranch and find us. Please do not hesitate to call if you wish .. looking forward to your response and more questions! .. Cheers ... We do have the POnds Chalet available for June 9 - 16, 2015 ...
