This is the kind of motel where we'd feel real comfortable back in the 60s. It is, therefore, an experience. Kind of retro/cowboy. My room had everything basic, and everything worked. The lights were very dim. I'd say the motel is a place for the adventurous, and I found it refreshing and interesting for its nostalgic feel. Good breakfast. I wish I'd arrived there earlier so I could have experienced the restaurant/lounge. All in all, I'm glad I slept there..

On a motorcycle trip with friends, stopped for dinner and were treated so well we spent the night! Food was great, the bartenders and waitress were friendly and fun. It was great to get a room with three beds at a great price. Will definitely stop in again.

I would not recommend this place to anyone I know. Rooms Smell like dirty socks and it’s run down. Hasn’t been updated since 1950. Scared to go to sleep at night. On top of that they put us in rooms next to railroad tracks.

Didn’t expect the clean and quality of this off the the beaten path establishment. The rooms were so good considering it use to be a low end type . The new owners are refurbishing and raising the quality to excellent. The restaurant is over the top quality with steaks raised there in Montana and sausages made there in Sheridan. It was fine dining at its best and the owner is a retired Firefighter. He learned to cook somewhere along the line and he is showing out at the Trails End. The staff is so accommodating and friendly. Such a great find in Montana.
