This property is AMAZING! From the moment I was picked at the airport in Steamboat Springs I could tell it was going to a memorable experience. I had an opportunity to interact with so many of the employees - the customer service was legendary, the f&b were always delicious and the hotel was VERY luxurious. (special thanks to Beth for showing me her “old fashion” cocktail recipe) The property has a very warm, inviting and upscale feel without being stuffy. I especially liked that since it is an all inclusive ranch I didn’t have to worry about paying for each meal and messing with gratuities. If you like the outdoors, you can ski, snowboard, snowmobile, snowshoe, tube & ice fish. If you prefer to stay inside, check out the spa or the kitchen academy. One of the managers even took time to show me around the brand new addition that is slated to open in mid February. The addition has this incredible British inspired hydrotherapy pool, a calming salt relaxation room and a brand new state of the art spa facility. They were also telling me that they are the only resort in the world to have a special affiliation with Mayo Clinic for a full wellness assessment and review. If you like art, you will be amazed - the walls are lined with original oils depicting Western, Native American and Asian art. I felt like I was in an art gallery – even my sleeping room had 4 original oil paintings! If you’re looking for an escape from the world check out this hidden gem – it will not disappoint!

We just had the most spectacular stay at Three Forks Ranch and really wanted to share our wonderful experience over the last few days. We haven’t written many reviews but wanted to share this with others who are thinking about visiting Three Forks Ranch. It all started with our personal pick up at Hayden airport near Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Thanks to Southwest Airlines and their new service to HDN, we flew from Denver to avoid the snowy roads and long drive. Our driver Mark shuttled us off to the ranch where we arrived an hour and 15 minutes later to the most incredible welcome! As we drove up in our shuttle, the grand doors of the lodge magically opened and the Three Forks Team sprung into action. Amy greeted us with a warm smile and friendly South African accent as the staff unloaded our luggage while we checked in and Amy did our rapid COVID test (negative, thank goodness). Dinner was waiting for us in the dining room, but the team gave us some time to get settled and enjoy the views and the grand reception room in the main lodge. We were taken aback with the floor to ceiling picture windows overlooking Three Forks Mountain, the two very large wood burning fireplaces and the bear-playing piano. We grabbed some drinks in the bar and then headed to the dining room for an incredible three course dinner. Our menus even had our names printed on them and that happened every night! We were treated to such enjoyable and thoughtful meals throughout our stay and each meal was even better than the last. We got to experience the kitchen academy and one of our dinners was in the academy one evening with chef preparing our meals right in front of us. It was one of the best chef tables we’ve ever experienced. Chef Chris was down to earth and we enjoyed learning about all of his creations. Throughout our stay the staff was very friendly and extremely attentive. One morning we even went to the gym at 6am and by the time we got back to our room at 7am it had already been cleaned and the beds made. The service was beyond five-stars. And the guided activities were endless. What we loved most about Three Forks Ranch was that everything was included. It was truly all-inclusive and not like other resorts we’ve stayed at before that say that but don’t live up to the promise. There were no bills at the end of our stay and no add ons. We never really experienced something like this before and would highly recommend it. We’re already planning another trip back. We really want to experience the new spa and wellness center. We were lucky enough to get a sneak peek of the Mayo Clinic assessment area, the hydrotherapy spa, treatment rooms, salt room and lap pool. We were blown away. They even have a movie theater and sushi bar in the new wing. We’ve traveled all over the world and never seen anything like this spa and wellness facility before. From the looks of it, they’re just putting the finishing touches on things now, but we got to see the new gym, yoga and pilates studios and from what we saw, they were beyond any luxury resort we’d ever stayed. Thanks to the team at Three Forks for making us feel like family. We can’t wait to see you again soon.

This is a world class facility. It has a fabulous lodge, great dinning, excellent and friendly staff. Trout fishing is superb, hunting wonderful, spa facilities terrific, and new Mayo Clinic associated health program is on the cutting edge. The scenery is spectacular! We have stayed here many times and never been disappointed. We have been with friends, family, and by ourselves.

I grew up in suburbia. My parents worked hard for all we had. There was no privilege, there was hard work and sacrifice. We weren’t rich, we weren’t poor. We appreciated what we had. We were humble and the one vacation we took to Disney World in 1985 was what we hung our hats on. As an adult I have had the blessing of traveling the world and experiencing the best it has to offer while still living and maintaining a down home, red-neck lifestyle in Kansas. To say I appreciate this place that Mr Pratt has created, would be a far cry from the reality I experience when I’m at 3 Forks Ranch. I have visited 3 Forks in every season, fashion and participated in every activity offered at the time this was written. I can say, unequivocally, that 3 Forks has the best people, luxurious western vacation, fine dining, hunting, fishing and variety of expertly guided outdoor activities this continent has to offer. The myriad of spa treatments, the mountainous views, the sunsets, the food, the peace and tranquillity, the attention to detail, the accommodations, the opulent quality of service and the fantastic setting in nature’s glorious bosom, is absolutely unmatched anywhere in the world. From the deepest part of my heart, I implore you to enjoy and live the experience and make unforgettable memories with your friends and family at the tangible dreamland called 3 Forks. For those who can visit once in a lifetime, it will be framed pictures on the wall and a story told for generations. For those who have the blessing of multiple visits, it will be an addiction and an annual mecca. If you have the opportunity, means and wherewithal; 3 Forks Ranch will not only deliver but exceed your highest expectations. It is a place seeded deeply in my heart and an experience that will capture a portion of yours.

Truly the most amazing destination we have experienced. Our first visit was 9 years ago for 3 nights…..every year we have returned, now 7 nights per visit, 2 visits per year. Summer and winter here each provide unforgettable connections with our earth…nature lives here. Staff, food, facility….just perfect. Prepare to be truly spoiled.

They require a signed contract and full payment prior to finalizing our reservations - this is not unusual given they host very few guests and last minute cancelleations would be a major problem for them. What is unacceptable is that the contract clearly states that if either the customer or the Ranch is not able to meet the conditions of the contract - THERE IS NO REFUND ALLOWED. It clearly mentions staff illness and says that this would not be grounds for a refund - so let me get this straight - in the year of COVID 19 and surging infection levels - if one of their staff tests positive for COVID 19 and they have to close for a period of time and if our scheduled visit would be affected - THERE WOULD BE NO REFUND! So $20K spent on a trip that did not happen would be gone with no recourse. Special considerations for COVID 19 and potential need for last minutes changes in plans due to no ones fault but a global pandemic - should be clearly defined and full refund permitted. I will not have the opportunity to find out if 3 Forks Ranch lives up to their reputation or not - but my experience with them is 1 star (not 5).

I do very much apologize for this experience and thank you for your candor. For clarity we do have a 90 day and 60 day cancellation policy and were totally flexible during COVID, giving full refunds right up the last minute in many situations. We clearly did not communicate this with you effectively and I would have absolutely issued a full refund for COVID reasons. I am just glad we are all past that now and if ever we can win you back we would be happy to show you a much better experience.

My family and I stayed for six nights of spectactular skiing on a private mountain surrounded by hundred of thousands of undeveloped, beautiful land.We were typically on the moutain alone- 5 people! It is so quiet that you can hear the snow falling from trees. The guides are incredible- so nice, so informative and all around great people. The staff makes you feel like family. The lodge itself is impeccably and dramtically designed. You enter into an enormous living room with 40 ft + ceilings, roaring fireplaces and a mix of European antiques mixed with hundreds of western oil paintings. It is so comfortable and welcoming. My children ages are 16-28 and all three of them would say it was their best vacation. We have never experienced such incredible people in such a beautiful environment. If you love nature, as we do, this should be on your bucket list! I would say it is once in a lifetime trip but I can't believe that anyone who goes to Three Forks wouldn't return. Skiing in the Alps is beautiful but here there is so much more. The snowmobiling allows you to truly appreciate the land ( 200,000 acres ) and how it is unspoiled. Passing numerous settler cabins brings back the feel of the Old West. The lodge is filled with beautiful Indian art as a tribute ti the original tribe who summered in the valley. The service is impeccable. You will feel like family when you leave and you will do so reluctantly! Go and enjoy-- you will be so happy you did!

I am not much of an online poster but I felt the staff went above and beyond once again! This years elk hunt and trout fishing was incredible, as always, but I have another story to tell. Our family visits Steamboat for Christmas every year, 18 years going strong. This year a Christmas tree was no where to be found in town! With young boys I was scrambling! After numerous calls to friends in town, I called Jenn at 3 Forks to see what she knew. Within minutes she called back stating Brian Jarrell was in route with a tree for our family! I can’t thank the staff at 3 Forks for such a kind gift! It truly hit home to know they truly care about our Holiday! Thanks again to everyone at 3 Forks and have a great Holiday, see you again in September!

I, my father, my brother and two close friends had been trying to book an Elk Hunting trip for many years and, finally the stars aligned. We decided on the Three Forks Ranch. Wow, what a great decision. First of all, my father is getting up there in age and we all have different levels of endurance, but despite this, we were all able to harvest a trophy elk. One in the 300+ range! The staff was beyond accommodating, and the cabins were comfortable and clean. Meals were fantastic and all inclusive. After the hunt, we were fortunate enough to experience the trout fishing. This was also beyond comparison, after catching and releasing multiple 20 inch plus Rainbows. I highly recommend this property as a hunting or fishing destination, and want to especially thank our guides, Little Al, Dan, and John. Also a big thanks to all the Three Forks Staff! We'll be back soon.

This was a bucket list trip for us. From the first time we heard about Three Forks Ranch we knew we had to go. Never in our wildest dreams could we have imagined such a place. Words and pictures will never begin to describe the beauty of the lodge and surrounding area, the attention to detail in everything about our stay, the impeccable, efficient, friendly, attentive staff and the unbelievable food, spa, fly fishing. Our guide, Jimmy, shared our excitement, enthusiasm and love of fly fishing. We felt he really wanted us to have the best possible experience. Sometimes we have had guides that take you to a location and hope you catch fish, Jimmy was determined to make our experience the best we ever had, and he achieved that. We have stayed at the Ritz Carlton on Amelia Island and thought that was above service oriented, they don't hold a candle to Three Forks Ranch! (nothing against The Ritz Carlton). My husband and I both had spa treatments and longed for more. If you ever have the opportunity to experience Three Forks Ranch, do not pass it up!
