Our family of five (kids ages 21, 19 and 17) spent 6 nights there over Christmas. The scenery is spectacular, truly 30,000 acres off the beaten path. The staff was fabulous. No detail or request too big or small of the concierge. We had all activities set up prior to arrival as I am a planner. Snowmobiling is a must. We did the all day excursion to Albany and a half day on Christmas morning. The guides were great. Shooting exceeded our expectations and we caught a bunch of fish ice fishing. The food was great - almost too much. We aren’t used to eating three full sit-down meals. Having a breakfast basket in cabins would be helpful and is a suggestion. Dinners at the farm are truly special. I am high risk so covid precautions were (are) extremely important to me. The ranch takes it seriously which was one of the main reasons we booked here. All staff wore masks correctly. Guests were also very respectful of the mask requirement. The restaurants are large and I never felt too close to anyone. This was the first time we had eaten in a restaurant since March, so a bit unnerving but we felt as safe as we could. We requested no housekeeping. Towels were left outside and we left used ones in a basket. We stayed in Jo’s which was perfect fit our family and it all worked. I would highly recommend this place: great location, activities, staff and food! …
As I sit by the fireplace overlooking this amazing landscape, the only thing I can think of is how badly I don’t want to leave this place and how much I want to come back. From the moment we checked in we felt like royalty. I can’t say enough great things about the staff and how wonderful they are and how great they are at what they do. First the food: OMG, we were lucky enough to eat the Farm twice and when you think of gourmet food this is the place. From breakfast to dinner, everything tasted delicious and fresh. Thank you Sarah for helping us arrange our activities. Our cooking class was cancelled which was disappointing but Sarah was able to book us a baking class as well as a tour of the greenhouse and it worked out perfectly. Horseback riding was great, thank you Grace!! If you haven’t tried paintball this is the place to do it. Thank you to all the staff who came out to play with us. I’m still a little bruised up but would definitely do it again. What can I say about Chef Keisha... love her!! She taught us how to make Soufflé of all things and it came out perfectly, just as good as the one we had the following night for dinner. Gretchen, thank you for what I would call the best wine tasting experience of my life. We will definitely reach out in the future. Travis, our lakeside hike was unforgettable and the pics you took of us came out great!! Hiking was definitely a highlight of this trip. Couldn’t leave the ranch without trying rock climbing. It was a definite challenge and so much fun. Enjoyed the s’mores by the fire, drinks at the saloon, bocce ball, basketball and table tennis. Not a huge fan of mountain biking but glad I tried it. This place really did have it all. Thank you thank you thank you all for making this an unforgettable experience. We hope to see you all soon!! …
I stayed here for a women's weekend away and we stayed here in July in the Trailboss suite. Once you arrive onto this property, you just begin to relax and unwind. The staff is fun, knowledgeable and will do everything they can to make sure you have an amazing experience and you can tell that they really love their jobs. During our time at the ranch we rode ATV's and horses, shot guns, archery, ate and drank way too much It's everything you could want in a weekend away during these crazy times. I'm taking one star away because of our pre-arrival experience and their desserts. I had a call with Jeremy about a month before we arrived to discuss our arrival and plan out our activities and then another email from the concierge team about two weeks before asking about our activities. Once we arrived, nothing was booked and most activities were full so they just wasted our time with these phone calls and emails and never told us along the way that there was nothing booked yet. After telling them that we would need the spare bed in the room made, we came to find that it was not made and we were given sheets to make it ourselves since the housekeeping staff was not available. The desserts were the weakest part of their culinary program and this was the first time I have ever not looked forward to eating dessert. The chocolate chip cookies and cakes were dry and many just lacked depth and flavor that one would hope for in sweets.…
We stayed 2 nights at Brush Creek Ranch & the only regret is that we didn't stay longer. Fantastic experience just a little over 3 hours from Denver. We stayed in Trailboss, which I highly recommend. It was our own cabin (which is good during covid times) just up the hill from the main lodge -- which gave us great views! We also got a golf cart making it easy to get to everything. However, the highlight of our stay were all the activities -- magical location to go mountain biking, fly fishing, atv tour & the gun range. And the best part were the guides -- they were all fantastic & an expert in their area. Lastly, the food -- overall very good -- but the best experience was was dinner at The Farm, which was a new addition as of last year. Make sure you take a tour of the wine cellars/basement (don't want to give anything more away). My only feedback is on the food -- as a vegetarian they didn't have a ton of options. Most time my options were just the sides/vegetables they had planned for the dinner vs. something additional -- whereas my husband was dining on wagyu beef, sirloin, etc., etc. I guess that is what you get going to a Ranch:) But regardless of this feedback, still a wonderful experience that would recommend to all. We will definitely be back in the winter time to experience the skiing/snow activities!…
We visited Brush Creek the first 3 nights they reopened—my family of course had connecting rooms in the lodge that were perfect-super comfortable beds, the bathroom with the two beds had a shower/tub combo our king room had an oversized shower. The decor was rustic luxury. We really loved the convenience of being in the lodge as breakfast and lunch are served right downstairs and the activities barn and saloon are just steps away. Perfect for families with kids to give everyone the freedom to “roam” but staying close by. Scheduling activities was easy at the barn and the guides were all top notch! We did the cattle drive-highly recommend—trail rides, shooting, barrel racing, ranger tour—everyone was on top of their game-we were very impressed! Food and drinks were outstanding-the filet mignon at The Farm was the best I have ever had. We loved the authentic feel of the saloon and the drinks were fantastic. The sports barn was a huge hit with my 8yr old-especially the full sized basketball court. My only non wow experience was the spa-for a Resort with spa in its name you would expect an amazing experience. The locker room is very small with only one shower—and even without COVID they only have a small steam room and dry sauna-the massage was great but for the price point I expected a “full spa” experience. (That being said the spa at their Magee Ranch is amazing-it is only open to guests who are buying out the whole facility at this point but once operations are back to normal you can get treatments at this location) Overall this was one of our best family vacations-this truly is a special place and we hope to be back and spend even more time there soon! …
