Being at Carole and Dexter's Ranch was wonderful. I can't say enough about the beautiful view, the ranch land, horses, the mountains in the distance. They treated us like family. Shared stories with of of how and when they built their place. A lovely log home! The day we arrived we brought in dinner and sat around the the dinning...

First, Dexter and Carole are incredibly nice as the couple owning the place. Second, the MOST interesting place BY FAR I have ever stayed but I don't stay at a lot of B&Bs to be fair. Anyway, Dexter BUILT the log cabin I stayed in and it was interesting just to look at the construction/features....heavy wooden bolt doors with wedge...

Very gracious host and hostess, comfortable accommodations, nicely decorated, beautiful quiet country setting, great breakfast. If you want to meet a guy that can give you a real education on western traditions, Dexter knows horses and the ranch life like few others. Our dog was welcomed, we felt right at home.

Pole Creek Ranch was a charming and relaxing place to stay. The place was well appointed with all the amenities expected. The owners Dexter and Carole were great hosts and had hours of stories to tell and share at the breakfast table which made the stay with them quite memorable.

Quiet, unspoilt , rustic B & B Superb hosts, with a vast knowledge of the area. The highlight for me was the magnificent breakfasts served in the family kitchen. Great place for children as it is a working ranch.

What a wonderful alternative to the chain motels! We drove two miles out of town to this authentic ranch. We stayed in their storybook little log cabin built for two, next to the main house, with it's stone fireplace, million dollar view, and super clean furnishings. The western breakfast was overwhelming and delicious. Carole is a sweety, and Dexter is...

After a lot of running around seeing yellowstone, it was nice to relax and visit with Dexter and Carole. They are really genuine people who love their guests. The cabin was clean and comfy and breakfast was also good. The only drawback was the misquitos.

It always makes me feel a little weird when I stay at a B&B and the owners stay there too. However, this was a nice surprise. These folks were truly genuine good ol country folks. They do make you feel comfortable. Don't expect any lavish extras, but you will get a good bed, a comfortable living room with wonderful picture...

I had the opportunity to stay at Pole Creek Ranch while attending a conference. I must say the it was one of the warmest experiencesI have had in a Bread and Breakfast. The setting is off the road on a hill facing out toward the Wind River Mountains but only minutes from downtown Pinedale. Carole and Dexter Smith provide a...

We stayed one night in the single- family cabin. It was a nice, refreshing change to motels. The breakfast the next morning was delicious and the owners make you feel right at home. Great hospitality!
