We thoroughly enjoyed our night in the Log Cabin Motel . The owner was very nice and helpful. She has gone to great lengths to keep up these historic cabins. Very nice beds and comforters. Table was set with decorative china and cups filled with teas, hot chocolate, and instant oatmeals. Coffee was set to go. Nice bathroom. Amazing flowers!!! Surrounded by hanging baskets and delphiniums everywhere. Hummingbirds hovering. Full kitchen if you want to make a meal.
My wife and i were dead-tired after an 11 day backpack in the nearby Wind River Mtns and were so lucky to land not only the last cabin at the Log Cabin Motel, but likely the last lodging space in all of Pinedale considering the ongoing festivities in town. The staff could see how tired we were so instead of going through the entire enrolling process, just asked us to write down some personal contact information and sent us on our way to clean up and sleep like the dead. Further, we were given an extra hour to check out the next day to just ‘chill’ and enjoy the morning. Because the motel is a block off the main road thru Pinedale, it is quiet and the air is emission-free. Since we were there an extra hour we were witness to an amazingly environmental ‘green’ cleaning process that involved sucking out the air of each room, sanitizing them, and using cleaning products w/o fragrances. Pretty cool. Also, we just liked the down-home atmosphere of the cabins, attention to details, and the convenience of unloading one’s vehicle and stepping directly into one’s cabin w/o having to navigate doors and hallways w/electronic card keys. And, oh yeah, the price was better than the sterile corporate places down the street!…
Pinedale is a lovely place to stay but I wouldn't recommend staying here purely for the fact it is so costly. The cabin we stayed in was clean and comfortable and contained all the amenities we needed, it was compact and characterful. Sofia and her staff are very environmentally conscious which is good. Even so, we felt it was poor value for money, breakfast is not included, our cabin was small and quite close to others so privacy could have been an issue. We realize that these cabins are replicas of the originals and would have enjoyed our stay here if it wasn't for the money grabbing attitude. There was an envelope in our room suggesting the guests leave a tip for the cleaning staff. Cheeky we thought. Surely this should be a spontaneous action. .
We (6 friends and family) stayed at the Log Cabin Motel the night before a week in the Wind River Range. Sofia was very pleasant to communicate with and accommodating. The cabins were a great launching point for our backcountry trip. Each was charming and had character. Beautiful flowers surrounded each unit which added to the character. We will definitely be back to the area and the Log Cabin Motel will be our first choice in Pinedale.
I've stayed here twice each summer starting in 2017 while on the road between MT and CO. The cabins are spacious and pleasant with very comfy beds and clean kitchenettes. I prefer historic accommodations and the Log Cabin Motel is old-timey in the best possible way. Pinedale is a charming town too. Moose wander the streets.
We loved our little Log Cabin Motel. It was cool, clean with special touches for the guest. Beautiful flowers all around. We only overnighted but would of stayed longer if we could. They were friendly & provided little thoughtful amenities!
It is walking distance to downtown. The cabin was clean and decorated nicely. The owners have flowers gardens and hanging baskets around every cabin. Beautiful. We also liked the sitting porch on the front. These are old cabins that have been remodeled nicely. The bath in ours was small but adequate. We always travel with our dog so she was welcome by calling them directly to reserve the proper cabin. The owners were very friendly. No air conditioning. It was hot out but our cabin stayed comfortable with the fan.
Another great stay in this historic log cabin motel. I’ve stayed here several times and it has always been so neat, clean and comfortable. Each cabin is very well appointed with everything you need to prepare simple meals and they even have a few grills located close by. The hosts are so nice and always looking after your needs.
I have been travelling to this area for many years and I always stay here. The cabins are great, the staff greater; and all things considered good value for your money. Plus, it's a great location, near to everything
We had a great stay at the Log Cabin Motel…such friendly, and helpful staff! The cabins were very cute, and clean. It’s a block off of Main Street, so you don’t hear the traffic going through, but an easy walk to the shops, and restaurants. We would definitely stay again!
