We stayed here in July as a family. We traveled to Deadwood, Custer, Badlands, Sturgis, Spearfish, Lead, Mount Rushmore, and other places. We were centrally located at the Pines Country Inn, so it was perfect! Owner was nice, very hospitable, room was clean and beds were extremely comfy. We stayed in Suite 28. We would highly recommend staying here anytime!

Using TripAdvisor as a guide, the reviews led me to this hidden jewel in eastern Wyoming. After having been in national account salesman for 40+ years, I can safely rate this property in the top 20, over the thousands of lodgings I’ve been at. It is quiet, safe, clean and well appointed. Business, pleasure or a family trip — this is a place to stay. Rachel runs a tight ship here. The fact that it was extremely affordable was the icing on the cake. If I’m ever in the area I will stay here again. Dear Wise, Isabellas just down the hill is superb.

Quaint, quiet Inn. Lovely owners. Extremely clean rooms. Bathroom on the small side, but great water pressure in shower. Family of deer in the front yard to have coffee with in the morning. I hope to return!

We had an excellent stay at the pines country inn. I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a quite and secluded stay. The property was managed beautifully by the owners, the rooms were in clean and excellent condition with all the amenities that one needs and all the major destinations like Mount Rushmore, jewel cave national monument, Devils tower, and black hills national forest are close by this hotel.

This motel is decorated so that you feel more like you are staying in a B&B. They even supply a small shelf of books to read. Where my husband found one so interesting he went and checked it out from our library the minute we got home. We loved sitting at the cafe table and chairs outside our room to enjoy a beverage and snacks after a long drive from Yellowstone. It was fun to watch the deer and wild turkeys munch on dinner in the yard. There is a propane grill which other guests used to grill their dinner. If we get back this way in the next year or so we will stay here.

We were there for 3 nights and loved every minute! The room was really clean and well maintained. We loved the deer and even the skunk was friendly. I recommend it to anyone staying in Newcastle. We will be back again in the spring and will make this our home again for another 3 days. We had friends staying in a different room that also will be returning! Thank You!

The rooms are nice with an old Wyoming feel yet modern amenities. It's an eat access to the small town of Newcastle with a small town feel. We were there during the Sturgis. Motorcycle rally and this is a great place to stay during the rally.

It was sweet and quiet. Rooms were small but we had everything we needed. Outdoor picnic garden area was very nice. A good place to eat was recommended. The AC worked well, the rooms were clean and comfortable. We would stay there again, if we are ever back in Newcastle.

Awesome, clean, knowledgeable staff. The cottage was great. Did need a tv update and could use one upstairs for the kids. The full size bed was comfortable. They serve a continental breakfast but it’s in another building. Wish they would have asked ahead of time what we liked and just had it at the cottage upon arrival. Will definitely stay again.
