Nestled on the banks of the Buffalo Fork River, Turpin Meadow ranch offers endless views of the Teton Range. We are grateful for this special and cherished place. With a backyard of 2.5 million acres of wilderness, the ranch is located between Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks, making it one of the most idyllic and sought after spots on the globe. Completely restored in 2013, our 80-year old cabins now have luxurious bathrooms, gas-lit fireplaces and locally made furniture. Other amenities include down duvets, fine linens, hand-crafted bath products and serene and private porches with views. The Main Lodge is also completely restored with soaring fireplace, beautiful new bar and patio, framing stunning sunrise and sunset views of the iconic Grand Teton and Mount Moran. The casual yet refined Lodge retains classic architecture and offers the most modern amenities of a brand new gourmet full service kitchen perfect for accommodating guests, destination diners and groups. Trail rides into the Bridger-Teton National Forest, overnight pack trips into the Teton Wilderness, fly fishing, campfires, eating, drinking, Nordic skiing, snowmobiling, snow biking, cook-outs, hiking, mountain biking, reconnecting with family, reading, writing and relaxing. The perfect vacation at any time of year.

Were a family of five with three kids aged 4,6,8. We found this place for dinner from google. Was a stunning drive into a beautiful tranquil setting with a delicious dinner. It was so good we booked in for a full family horse riding lesson the next morning. It was the best horse riding family session we've ever done - because they tailored it to the kids, and created a lesson where all of us could ride together. It was safe, and the kids learnt a lot. Big thanks to Ron and Bobbie and the team. If we come back to WY we'll be staying and going on a pack trip!

Turpin Meadow Ranch is absolutely the best vacation experience we’ve ever had. After reading about it online we reserved a one room log cabin for a five day stay in February for a White season adventure. We added a full day, guided snowmobile adventure at the ranch to kick off our adventure. Little did we know that we were in for the vacation of a lifetime. Ahead of our arrival, I spoke with Emily to get suggestions about activities at the ranch and other local attractions and get answers about arrival and the trip to the ranch during the snow season. We made it easily from Jackson with an AWD rental car. Our one room log cabin was fantastic; a small space with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The free-standing gas stove that looked like a wood stove had no problem keeping the cabin cozy and warm even when the temps were well below zero. The walk-in shower was awesome with great water pressure and a dedicated instant hot water unit. The king size bed and bedding were super comfortable. The ranch office was just a short walk from the cabin. The lodge has a dining room, bar with a large, rock fireplace with comfortable seating. Buffet breakfast was served every morning, with hot items from the kitchen and granola, oatmeal, yogurt and fresh fruit, coffee and juice. Lunch and dinner menu items change daily. The TMR is the staff, Emily, Gabe, Emma, Katie, Corrie and Marcelo were absolutely the BEST, very personable, attentive and conscientious. We can’t wait to return.

Turpin Meadow Ranch is a nice little spot to escape to. The cabins aren't fancy but very comfortable. You basically book the your stay on a B&B basis and then you can add your activities a la carte - horse riding, fishing, tours, ATV's etc. There are some free activities that you can take advantage of at the ranch - mountain bikes, disc golf, archery, corn hole etc. The breakfast buffet in the morning is yummy and the lodge is a comfortable place to hang out. My only negative is their practice of adding gratuity to the bill at the end. They add based on the room rate, as well as any activities, meals etc. that you have. I have absolutely no problem tipping on items where I received service (such as meals, activities etc.) but tipping on a room rate .... really? That just seemed like a sneaky way of adding several hundred dollars to a room rate. (The daily housekeeping was minimal so certainly didn't justify the hefty gratuity). As you checkout, you're told that the gratuity is up to you, but when you're presented with a bill with a specific amount, it really doesn't feel discretionary. It just left a sour taste to an otherwise enjoyable stay.

Thank you for your detailed review and we are thrilled you had a great time at the ranch and enjoyed your stay. We are however saddened that you were not understanding of our gratuity policy. Gratuities are always 100% up to the guest's discretion and are presented in pencil at the time of check-out as only a suggested gratuity. At that point, a guest is free to change the amount and leave only what they feel comfortable with. Our gratuity policy is provided to all guests in the pre-booking descriptions and is also included in the post-booking confirmation in addition to being discussed at the time of check-in. As customary at most higher-end guest ranches, we provide an opportunity for our entire staff even those behind the scenes to have an equal opportunity at receiving a gratuity for all their hard work. All guest gratuities are 100% split equally amongst the entire staff. Because we want every guest to have a great experience and a positive lasting memory of their stay, we would be more than happy to refund any and all of your gratuity so you too will have a great and lasting memory of your stay at Turpin. Please feel free to contact the front desk and we will happily assist you. Sincerely,

Absolutely lovely stay at Turpin Meadow Ranch. It is about 15-20 minutes from the highway through a windy but beautiful country road, so it is completely isolated from everything. It is so incredibly peaceful. All you hear are the birds, crickets and river running.

The grounds are breathtaking and everything is set up to have a perfect stay. Lounging chairs by the river, chairs set up to view the ranch and enjoy a drink from the fabulous bar, games all around the property.

The food was sensational! The complimentary breakfast buffet was out of this world delicious. The dinners are 5 star quality. When I ordered a mojito, the bartender went to the little garden outside to get fresh mint! The food was a bit cold at times, but nonetheless, delicious.

Horseback riding was a lovely experience with Rachel who was warm and personable. The view at the top was breathtaking. She took plenty of pictures of us, too.

The cabin was upgraded, and the beds so cozy. Ample bedding and pillows were provided. A coffee machine with pods and creamer were left and the fridge came in handy. The fireplace was a nice touch, but we didn't use it since it was July. There were tons of bugs out when sitting on the (adorable) porch, so bring bug spray! We got many bug bites the first night.

All of the staff stays out of your way. No one really greeted, approached or acknowledged us unless we first did so. They may be trained to just allow the guests space and not engage unless initiated, or maybe it's the culture there. I am not sure. A bit more engagement would have been nice.
(No one told us about the different amenities offered on the property such as bike rentals, utvs etc.)

It's important to note that a 15% tip is added to the cost. This is based off, not only your activities and meals, but also your actual room rate. It added 350.00 more to the cost for us which was quite a bit. Just keep this in mind.

We had a beautiful experience at this ranch, and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a splurge on a special trip!

Thank you so much for your review! We're so glad you enjoyed such a peaceful and serene vacation with us, and that you enjoyed your meals and your horseback riding experience with Rachel--she's such a knowledgeable and amazing wrangler! We do apologize that we didn't adequately convey the variety of activities we offer here at the ranch, and we apologize as well if we didn't make it clear that our gratuity is completely optional and our guests are able to change it to whatever they feel comfortable with. We split the gratuity amongst the entire staff, so that employees such as our dishwasher, housekeepers, front desk folks, maintenance, etc. all feel appreciated as well! Again, thank you so much for your great review! We'd love to have you back at the ranch another time!

I am so behind in writing this but we were fondly remembering our trip and felt compelled to share a review even it it is year later. We did a 3 day pack with Elee and Aaron and had the BEST time. Both were so knowledgeable, experienced and a just delight to be around. Aaron was so patient with my husband and I when we were learning how to fly fish. I caught a beautiful cutthroat trout!! The ride through the mountains was incredible. The campsite was set up so nicely, meals were delicious and Elee even picked wild berries to make a yummy dessert one night. Aaron and Elee’s experience was evident and we learned so much from them. And at the same time really enjoyed their company hanging out around the fire. Our last day Aaron took me on fun run on horseback through the little valley and it was thrilling…reminding me of riding when I was a kid. We HIGHLY recommend TMR and Aaron and Elee if you want a true mountain adventure with experienced guides. Top notch all the way around!

Winter in Jackson Hole doesn't get better than this!

The attention to detail and outstanding service match the beauty of the natural surroundings. This feels like Wyoming should, with just the right touch of wildness plus sophistication. The Nordic ski trails are groomed impeccably for classic and skate skiing. All the staff ... front desk, kitchen, maintenance, ski hut, wait staff ... share their enthusiasm for what they do. They enjoy being there and helping the guests however they can.

I, my wife, and our two adult children, who joined us on this trip, stayed in a Queen + Loft chalet unit. It was spacious and lovely. We had a great experience together that was promoted by the decor of our unit, the building and the lodge. It was an added plus to see moose and fox pass by just a few feet from our door!
The evening entrees were tastefully prepared ... real creativity and quality. The breakfasts were well-stocked with many choices and special hot entrees that changed each day.

I can honestly say that TMR delivered everything that we could hope for in a special location that we traveled over 2000 miles to experience. Please keep up the great work for years to come!

We were originally booked to stay at Jenny Lake Lodge in Grand Teton NP but due to CoVid they shut down this year. It was a blessing in disguise because it brought us to TMR. We stayed in a King cabin which was a little cozy but very clean and when we brought up any concerns they were handled quickly. The food in the lodge was fantastic and had a number of original dishes which we enjoyed. We did a trail ride (my first in 53 years) with Rachel. She was a fantastic guide and we really enjoyed our time with her. Even got a little fishing in on the river right outside the cabin.

My husband, myself, and our 2 kids (age 11 and 13), just got back from an amazing trip to Turpin Meadow Ranch. We rented a 2 bedroom chalet and stayed for nearly 1 week. This awesome establishment surpassed any expectations that our family had!
We tried many of the activities: horseback riding, utv rental, fly fishing. Our horseback guide, Rachel, was enthusiastic, very personable, and able to show us some breathtaking views of the valley. Our fishing guides, Max and Carter, did an incredible job with both our son (an avid fisherman) and our daughter (who doesn’t want to ever touch a fish). We were able to fish right on the property, and it really made for a great pastime each day! Devon did a great job preparing us for the ATV riding, and the trails are crazy awesome! The one thing that we heard consistently from the employees at this place was how great their employers are and what a great place it is to work at. You could feel a sense of pride and commitment to the establishment which isn’t always the case these days. Everyone was so friendly and willing to help out if we needed something.
The location is perfect. We could make it in to grand Teton park within 30 minutes. We had a spread of a breakfast each morning (included with our stay), and then dinner each night at the restaurant on property, which was again, gourmet, top notch, and very satisfying after a long day outside. They have a classy bar area and outdoor seating at the restaurant as well. Cornhole, ladderball, and board games in the eating area make for a family friendly, yet rustic/elegant atmosphere.
The rooms were lovely as well. Upscale bathroom facilities, comfy beds, and unrivaled views of the Tetons.
The only feedback I would have is that the “global” gratuity that is charged at the end of the stay made for some confusion. We weren’t sure if the specific people who helped us got the gratuity, or if it was split in a pooled fashion. We separately tipped people to make sure they knew they were appreciated, but I would suggest eliminating the gratuity at the end. It doesn’t incentivize personalized treatment, especially with some of the staff in the dining area.
Overall, we loved this place and hope to come back in the coming years as a new family tradition! Thank you, Turpin Meadow Ranch!

Thank you so much for your wonderful and thorough review! We're so happy to hear that you had such a wonderful stay, and it sounds like you really packed in the activities! Thanks for giving shoutouts to Rachel, Max, Carter, and Devin--they are all truly special and talented! We apologize for any confusion regarding the gratuity, it is completely optional and can be adjusted however you feel is appropriate. The reason we do the pooled gratuity is so that the "behind the scenes" employees (chefs, dishwasher, front desk, maintenance, housekeeping, etc.) feel appreciated as well! As you mentioned, our staff is one big team and we operate with the idea in mind that each member is of equal importance--we couldn't do what we do if any piece was missing! Thanks again for all your kind words--we'd love to be your new family tradition!

We spent 5 days at the Ranch with our kids and grandkids ages 11, 14 and 17. The location was perfect. The views and surrounding beauty cannot be put into words. We stayed in 2 adjoining loft chalets which were so roomy, comfortable and quaint. In the evening we would sit on the porch and relive the days activities. So much to do on site. The staff was so welcoming and accommodating! Any need we had was met. The food was delicious, especially the breakfast buffet. If any criticism would be add a little variety to the menu for guests staying longer than a couple days as there are no options for off site dining without travel. We took the full day tour from the ranch to Yellowstone which was a highlight and recommended if you can. Our guide Joe was amazing and made the trip perfect. The grandkids were entertained and we all enjoyed his company and learned so much. We opted to ride horses which was offered in a 2 hour or 4 hour activity. I advise 2 hours for first time riders like ourselves. We did 4 and loved every minute but all were hurting afterwards and struggled the next day. The kids fly fished and the entire family spent a half day exploring on side by sides seeing incredible sites.

We will never forget this trip and the experience Turpin Meadow Ranch provided. Thank you so much!!!

I almost don't want to do this review because I want to be able to book Turpin Meadow the next time I am in Wyoming! If the word gets out about this place, I am sure there will be a waiting list to book! Turpin Meadow is a small, gentle ranch that is very peaceful and one with the land.

It's a long, but well marked road that ends at the ranch with spectacular views of the Tetons, horses, the Buffalo Fork river running through the property, an incredible but intimate lodge with a massive fireplace, outside porches, horse shoes, archery and a delicious restaurant, with lovely staff all around.

They offer fly fishing which was terrific. We caught fish and waded in a river that has never been stocked and is full of cutthroat trout and mountain white fish. The horse riding was a beautiful scenic trek to views that would make you cry. We stayed in a chalet which had a large living room, an upstairs and downstairs bedroom, was very spacious and decorated to perfection. French press coffee and a fridge in the room made the mornings looking at the mountains and river very special! Make sure you go!
