Yes, Quirky from the 50's & in need of refurbish (rm 30) & deep clean but we happened through Laramie at the beginning of 'Daddy of em all' Frontier Days in Cheyenne so hotels all around gouge while they can & we had no reservations. This place allows pets ($10) and Q room was $99. No in-room coffee pot, not even a glass-cup for a drink. Room DID have Microwave, mini-fridge, and hair dryer w/shampoo and was mostly clean (carpet edges dusty) bathroom was clean. OK for an overnight. Wouldn't have eaten a continental breakfast even if it were offered.

If you like a quirky mom and pop hotel, then you will love this one. Traveling thru and stopped for the night. It started snowing and it was 18 degrees and the heater quit working. Small room, nothing spectacular. Cheap tho!

This place was great!. It's a throwback to the 1950's style motels. The owners are friendly and the price is reasonable. The decor in the rooms contains handpainted murals of Natvive Americans. I recommend this place.

Found 2 bedbugs on my kids who had been lying on the bed for less than an hour. Found more when I lifted the fitted sheet. Left immediately to check-in elsewhere. The next day, the owner was unwilling to refund even after I sent pictures (attached) and he recognized the mattress and room.

This person claimed bed bugs and left the next morning. After I spoke with him and asked for proof he emailed these photos. I refunded his money and even emailed him a copy of the receipt. We inspected the room and didn’t find any more. But we have a machine that steams them at 356 degrees. As a precaution we shut the room and steamed it for 3 days. No egg or bed bug can survive that. It is sad that he claims we didn’t refund his money but I have the receipt and email sent to him to prove it!

This place has a great location. Rooms are average. The room we had was huge and roomy enough for several kids. It's within walking distance to the downtown area and a short drive to university events. Parking is a little tight if you have a large vehicle. We'd stay again when in town.

The second we drove up to this place we knew it was going to be unique! The decor is exactly what we would expect in Laramie, Wyoming. The owner was kind enough to give us a room at the far end so we wouldn’t be disturbed by a higher density of guests. We are traveling musicians so it helps to get a good nights rest. Our rooms were comfortable and just what we needed. Thanks again!

We checked in to the Gas Lite Motel on a very cold Saturday night in Laramie, WY. Even though the sun had been down for hours, I couldn't help but notice the unique design. The motel pays homage to the old west with its eclectic cowboy inspired look. Even the paintings on the walls of our room were like nothing you would find in any motel. The room was clean and very spacious. It was also very quiet as the motel is located on a fairly busy street with quite a few bars and restaurants. Now, this place does not offer a lot of the extra perks many name hotel do. But if you are just looking to get a good night sleep in a warm bed at a motel unlike any other, then I think you will enjoy the Gas Lite Motel.

The lady was quirky and nice but the lobby smelled like cat pee.. I was not too excited to stay here but almost felt bad saying no. We went to pull back the sheets and a big bug ran out.. I joked saying I would get bed bugs... We checked the sheets and found nothing else.. I slept with my pants tucked into my socks and used my own blanket .. a day later I was itching like CRAZY! I went to the doctor and she said it was either fleas or bed bugs... luckily I didn't bring either home with me.. but it took a month to get rid of the itch.. I don't like writing bad reviews but please beware!! bugs are no joke!! :(

If you found bugs you should notify us so we can move you and can fix the problem immediately. Did you report it before you left? As for the lobby there is no smell of cat urine. It is cleaned daily. Sorry for your problems but please contact us to try to fix this situation.

Smelled like an ashtray but was a non-smoking room, unkempt woodwork, bathtub was brownish from lack of cleanliness and overall upkeep. In short, we paid for this room, but couldn't stay the night because, while the hotel looks weird but acceptable on the outside, the rooms are NOT CLEAN. I didn't want to haggle with the odd woman at the counter, so I never got my money back.

We were there for the Eclipse, the big name hotels were outrageous and full, so we took a chance. I am so glad we did! This is a rustic, very cute, and very clean place. The rooms are pretty basic, but that's ok, we weren't looking for a resort. Compared to where the rest of our group stayed, it was fabulous!
