What a treat off the corporate beaten-path. This mom and pop was welcoming, homey and delicious. So much better than staying in an impersonal hotel. You’ll have to call, but it’s so nice to actually talk to someone these days.

The Best Bed and Breakfast, put together lovingly by its owners, Lawrence and Danny and their daughter, all artists extraordinaire. The place is a museum in its own right. The hosts were warm, inviting and friendly and Danny thought of everything I might need even before I thought of it.

We felt totally pampered at The Mad Carpenter Inn. My family stayed a few days here to attend my grandson’s graduation, and Lawrence and Danny, the owners, made us all feel like part of their family. Beyond the beautiful interior of the home, (and there are unique touches everywhere you look!) each room was complete with everything we needed to relax and enjoy our stay. It seemed as though nothing was forgotten. We thoroughly enjoyed our morning chats with Lawrence and Danny, as each morning we were presented with a marvelous breakfast with so many choices! The game room is an awesome bonus to the B&B, and we took advantage of it. We’ll never forget witnessing the night-blooming Cereus! Hoping we’ll be able to travel back through Laramie again, so we can enjoy another stay here.

Very cute! Everything you would want in a B&B. The hosts were fabulous and friendly. The beds were comfortable; the breakfast was substantial and delicious. We reserved three rooms. My husband and I were in the Doll House which is separate from the main house. It was comfortable and there were snacks in each of the rooms. There is also a very fun game area with table tennis, darts, etc. Overall a very good experience!

We stayed in the Doll House, adorable! The wood burning stove (gas or electric, not sure) was a lovely comfort & warm. The hosts were very friendly and the breakfast was over the top wonderful! Would definitely stay here again if we visit Wyoming again! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Room Tip: Plenty of food choices near the Applebee’s. We went downtown, and not many non-bar type options.

Let me first say that the house (at least the parts I saw) is absolutely beautiful and we were greeted with a smile. It was a late night check in (7 PM) and we were excited to have gotten to a destination for the evening. Unfortunately, we were refused service because we have a service dog. It had been a long day and I was too exhausted to get into it with them when all I wanted to do was rest. I just wanted to let those who have support animals know this may be one to pass on. I would invite the owners to visit federal regulations around service animals.

I'd recommend the Mad Carpenter to anyone staying in Laramie. The home is absolutely beautiful, with old-fashioned woodwork and stenciled ceilings. It's as clean and welcoming as can be. The porch has a relaxing swing that we enjoyed. The owners are very friendly and helpful. For example, when we took a walk, they left a note on our car to remind us not to forget something we'd left inside. Our room was on the small side, but the bed was comfortable and the bathroom had everything we needed. The bathroom wasn't attached to our bedroom, but that wasn't really an issue. There was no AC in our room (Blossom), but nights are so cool even in the summer that our room was perfectly comfortable in early August with the open window and ceiling fan. Breakfast was as good as any I've ever had at a B&B. Fresh waffles, plenty of fruit, a very tasty homemade cobbler and great coffee. It may have been the best breakfast of our 10-day trip. It was nice talking to the owners and our fellow guests over breakfast. Location is fabulous, within walking distance of both the university and Laramie's quaint downtown district. We walked downtown to go to a bookstore and for ice cream. The price was more than fair. A bit low, actually, considering all we got for it. If you're looking for a good B&B in Laramie, this is a simple choice.

The house is beautiful, and the rooms well maintained. The owner renovated it himself. Both he and his wife are gracious, warm and welcoming. the breakfast was delicious. They had coffee ready and waiting with beans they ground themselves.

Our Colorado friends, Mark and Kenya, recommended The Mad Carpenter and we're sure glad they did! We stayed in their lovely "Doll House". Lawrence really is a Mad Carpenter, he did some lovely wood work on the stair case and the ceiling. Lovely place and we sure enjoyed our stay. Danny's breakfast was delicious and filling! The cinnamon rolls and peach cobbler were great desserts!! It was fun talking with them during breakfast. We were so full we retired to the lovely balcony to digest for a while. We highly recommend The Mad Carpenter! Thanks Lawrence and Danny for a great stay!

It is wonderful to be in a classic house filled with antiques, with big comfy beds, and waking up to an incredible full breakfast with kind owners. Great Place! It is also centrally located in Laramie, close to downtown.
