The owners and staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. This was an immersion into the life of a cowgirl (or boy) from riding, rounding up cattle, mountain hikes and rides, skeet shooting, and carriage rides serenaded by cowboy singers. The food was outstanding and the property was breathtaking.

Five stars doesn't do the Vee Bar justice....the ranch and all those who make it work are special beyond words to describe. Brent, Kari and the entire staff make you feel special and "like one of the family". Summed up, special people in a special place.

We took our four children aged between 7 and 13 to the Vee Bar this summer. When we woke up on our first morning to a moose taking a drink outside our cabin and the most incredible breakfast spread, we knew we were in a very special place. Brent and the wranglers did the most amazing job of matching us (very inexperienced riders) with our horses and ensuring that we had a week full to the brim of incredible adventures. We rode each day as a family which meant we shared the experiences of learning to lope, moving cattle, seeing the mustangs, hearing the wranglers amazing stories and seeing the enormous country around the Vee Bar. The wranglers were wonderful at engaging our teenage boy while at the same time making sure that our 7 year old was always smiling and happy with the pace. The Vee Bar strikes a wonderful balance of being a place where you feel unbelievably relaxed while also packing in endless adventures and new experiences. The kids relished the freedom that they had to explore and float down the river on tubes, fly fish, have a hot tub, try mounted archery or just visit the animals after a day in the saddle. We ate wonderful food all week (every meal was a treat - sometimes we ate on the top of a mountain, sometimes on the island always delicious) and slept like absolute logs (until the 11 years olds alarm went off so she could go and watch the horses coming in early morning :) Thank you Brent, Kari and the Vee Bar gang for the most wonderful week. We will be back!!…

I'm so glad I choose the Vee Bar Ranch for our vacation. The owners and staff make you feel like family, and they are very patience with guests who do not have a lot of riding experience. I would definitely go back again.

Best time ever! This was on my bucket list- wow what a fantastic experience! Our cabin was literally steps from the river. So imagine laying in bed listening to the river flowing🧘🏼♀️ Let’s talk about the horseback riding- first they fit you to a house that fits your riding ability, then they ask who wants to go on an easy ride or for those like me who wants a more faster pace ride🙋🏼♀️ then you are escorted with the-best wranglers to escort you . The staff and owners are amazing! So friendly !!!!!!!! and the stories they tell will make you laugh till your sides hurt.😂 Meals are soooo good! You couldn’t ask for a better dude ranch than this one believe me you will not be disappointed. Not only do you ride horses , you can go river tubing , shoot trap, archery, participate in rounding up cows🐄 such a blast!!!!! Sign up fast the book up fast!…

I wasn't sure what to expect but was hoping for a wonderful adventure and new family vacation for the grand kids. Vee Bar ranch and staff exceeded my expectation in every way at every turn. The cabin was clean and rustic, the food from day one was delicious and hearty - perfect in every way (even for a finicky eater- they were happy to accommodate). The ranch grounds were neat as a pin and well cared for. The horses were matched to each of our riders abilities, from never on a horse to accomplished and the horses were healthy and responsive, whether walking or loping! The wranglers and cowboys - incredibly guest focused and not a single detail was missed- we loved their company and western knowledge! The hosts Brent and Kari and their children made us feel like part of the family and their children are absolutely precious and just as welcoming. Best activity? From the riding, tubing, cookout, hayride with live music, cattle drive, team pinning, sheep dog demonstration it's hard to find a favorite -it was all great and we'll be back!!…

I didn't want to leave. It was just that good. The rooms are clean and log-ish cabin style. We stayed in the suites which included a washer and dryer. The food was great and varied. The best part are Brent & Kari and the Wranglers. By my calculations, they might see approx 500 guests in the season, but you'd think you were the only guests they were going to have all year. I do believe every single guest gets a genuine interest from each of the staff. I'm not a cowboy, but I felt as welcome and treated as if I were one. If you can't make the whole week, I would highly recommend doing the Sunday through Wednesday stay. Those first few days are more involved in learning your horse and socializing with other guests. It's my feeling the folks that arrived from Wed to Saturday, did not get quite the full experience and didn't really have time to connect with everyone else. The VeeBar is great people, America as you want it, rugged & self-determined people. You might be there to ride, but who you ride with makes all the difference. This is where you want a western experience.…

I'm so thankful that I chose Vee Bar! Bailey, Bonnie, Tommy, Will, Sapphire and Ryder are the best wranglers I have encountered on rides. They are attentive, knowledgeable and do everything in their power to make your trip special. Rides vary from flat meadow rides with river crossings to mountain rides. There is also a day spent at an area ranch driving their cattle to new pastures. We also went on a guided fishing adventure in the Medicine Bow National Forrest that I’m sure our guide, Ben, will never forget. The cabin was clean and comfortable for the 3 of us. The setting couldn't have been more perfect, with the river right outside our front door. The food was excellent and plentiful. We bought snacks prior to arriving that were donated to the wranglers at the end of our stay because we were so full from our meals that we didn’t consume them. This is NOT your typical vacation, where you sit in your room. You share three meals a day with wranglers and other guests. You have the option of 2 rides a day, area hikes, fishing, river tubing, etc. Nighttime activities include wagon rides, roping demonstrations, live music and the John Wayne Saloon is always open.…

We came here about 20 years ago and had a blast then. This time I brought my kids and it was just as fun as it was 20 years ago! My son is already planning a return trip. The activities are well organized, the wranglers are friendly and helpful, and the whole staff is accomodating to any of your needs or requests. Highly recommend this ranch!

Absolutely wonderful experience. The team at Vee Bar go far and beyond to ensure all guests have the best vacation. The horses are superb, and this is not one of those nose-to-tail trail riding experiences. The food is delicious, the hospitality is first class, and the scenery is unparalleled. This was our first experience, and we've already booked for next year.
