This is a beautiful ranch with cabins, lodges and a "family house" which is located adjacent to the Grand Tetons and a national forest. The views are so amazing you can just sit and watch the light change on the Tetons or go for a horseback ride and explore more amazing sites.

Had a great time at Gros Ventre River Ranch during the first adult-only week of the season. The ranch is in a beautiful setting with the Teton Mountains in the background and overlooking the Gros Ventre River. Our cabin was beautiful, comfortable, and had everything we could

Thank you so much for sharing your experience at the ranch online. Our adult only season (the last week in August until we close in September) is a time for our adult guests to relax and enjoy one another's company while horseback riding, fishing, or just sitting around the campfire. I've had people tell me that it is "sleep-away camp for big kids!" Thank you for choosing to stay with us. We can't wait to see you in 2020!

We are so happy to hear from you! Our horseback riding program is something we take very seriously. We maintain a large herd of horses to try to satisfy the different needs, skills, and comfort levels of each guest that comes to the ranch. It is wonderful to know that we were able to fit you with a horse that made you feel taken care of, especially as an inexperienced rider. Our wranglers are another important part of our riding program and are required to complete an intensive training regimen lasting several weeks prior to our season opening day. For those that aren't interested in riding, we also have a tremendous stretch of river in which to fly fish, or just wade through and enjoy the natural beauty. We hope we will be able to have the chance to see you again!

Thank you for your feedback! I was just talking with one of our guests today at lunch who said, "when I am on my horse and looking at those mountains, it truly is Heaven on Earth!" And I have to say, we as the owners/managers feel the same way. We are blessed beyond measure to be able to share this ranch with others. Thank you for choosing to stay with us and we hope we have the pleasure of seeing you again!

Hi Bill, Thank you for contacting the Gros Ventre River Ranch. We often get families with children less than 7 years old and they always seem to have plenty to do! We can offer lead around horseback rides; we have a main yard with a play set and lots of lawn games; we have a recreation/game room in our main lodge; and we have kid sized bikes and fishing poles for their use anytime. Please feel free to contact us on the phone for more information. Thank you!
