Three of us stayed at The Alpine House for 3 nights in early June, having had it recommended to us by a friend - and what good advice it turned out to be. Located on a quite side street, everywhere was spotlessly clean, with a bright reception / dining area. Our room, with two queen-sized beds, was a little small, but adequate for our needs. The breakfasts were very good, with a large choice of cereals, fruit, breads and croissants, etc., together with special hot meals each day. We had huevos rancheros, a breakfast sandwich and blueberry pancakes on consecutive mornings, all delicious and very different from our usual British fry-up at home. Torey, the General Manager was very good - well organised, very attentive and always with a beaming smile. We would also highly recommend The Alpine House We found Jackson to be an interesting town. Bigger then we expected as it spreads south of the central area and with some good restaurants. We particularly liked the Gun Barrel Steak House for its Wild West atmosphere and great steaks. . The trails to the north of Jackson, in the foothills of the mountains, were great for trekking. The String Lake Loop and the trails around Taggart Lake and Bradley Lake, including the Beaver Creek Trail, were tackled and thoroughly enjoyed, in lovely weather.. The boat trip across Jenny Lake and the climb to Inspiration Point was also enjoyed.

Property's Favorite Review
My family absolutely loved staying at the Alpine House for a week while visiting Jackson and the winter wonderland surrounding it. The inn has a bed and breakfast feel and is decorated so well, with murals that made us smile and a warm, welcoming style that included nice table linens and a book-filled living room with a cheery fireplace and comfy couches. Run by two former Olympic skiers who can be seen pitching in around the inn, it’s just such a special place. We arrived after office hours, and our keys were waiting for us with a welcoming note. We slept so well in our comfortable suite, always arriving back at the room each night to a clean kitchenette, bathroom, floors, and beautifully made beds. Each morning we couldn’t wait to get to the (free) breakfast in the light-drenched lobby of the inn—wow!! SO GOOD! Everything from breakfast burritos with fresh veggies to decadent waffles with homemade whipped cream and strawberries...and every day, the BEST homemade granola we’ve ever tasted, fresh fruit, yogurt, plenty of breads to toast (gluten free options too), and baked creations to die for. This breakfast fueled us as our days were jam-packed—we visited Grand Teton National Park, Yellowstone National Park, and the Elk Refuge during our stay. We skied Jackson Hole Resort, snowshoed to Taggart Lake, enjoyed the New Year’s Eve torchlight ski parade and fireworks on Snow King Mountain, and loved the great restaurants and shops in town, all walkable from the Alpine House. Each night after a chilly walk back from dinner, we enjoyed the excellent coffee, tea, water, and sweet treats waiting for us in the lobby. The staff members are friendly, helpful, and kind. It’s just a very special place and a great value. Plus, it’s so fun to read about the celebrated skiing and climbing careers of Hans and Nancy, the owners, and then find that they are easy to talk to and also just damn fine people and innkeepers. The Alpine House is one of those places you just can’t say enough good things about, so I’ll end here with the hope that we can return in the summer someday to experience the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem in warmer months.💕

Our group stayed 3 nights here and it far exceeded our expectations. The inn is lovely, inviting and we spend many hours on the front porch just relaxing. The rooms are spacious, clean, neat, cozy and well stocked. Breakfast is plentiful and delicious. Coffee, tea and water is always available, along with afternoon treats! There is a honor system wine and beer bar.Owners and staff are very helpful and friendly. It was very interesting to read about their background and then see information about them at the Discovery center. We were sad to leave. Do yourself a favor and stay there! We were traveling with an infant who we think did well and noted other families with children, although we had the youngest. I also appreciated their attention to the environment. The front garden area was lovely! I loved opening the faux balcony door in my room and listening to the rain early evenings.

My husband and I stayed at The Alpine House and Lodge when we arrived in Jackson, for one night. We were on our way to Grand Teton and Yellowstone parks. I cannot say enough positive things about our stay at The Alpine Lodge and Cottages. We stayed in the main lodge and everything from the moment we checked in with Tory until we checked out was perfect. I felt so at home - Tory was so nice and made sure our stay was everything perfect. She was very helpful in helping us plan our evening in Jackson. The room we had was awesome and we even braved the cold temperatures to enjoy our time on the balcony taking in the view and a glass of wine. The breakfast we had the morning before heading north was so yummy and set us on our way on a happy note. I would definitely stay here again when we return and would recommend this place to others when they are in Jackson.

My husband and I recently spent 2 nights at the Alpine House on our first trip to Jackson Hole. We thought the Inn was welcoming and comfortable. From the plentiful free parking, to the honor bar, to the convenient location, to the wonderful breakfast, to the dogs wandering the property, to the cozy front porch, to the free bear spray to borrow, we appreciated it all!
