The Alpine house was disappointing. The pictures online make it look beautiful but don’t be fooled. We spent our Anniversary weekend there, booked 3 nights which included a breakfast cooked by their chef. The room was very clean but so small you could hardly walk around the bed, no TV or luggage racks. Shower head was so high up only someone 9 feet tall could adjust it. The room had a balcony so small that only a dog would be comfortable on it. The a/c was loud. Parking was very tight especially if you have a truck. To top it off we had breakfast cooked by the chef the first morning which was average at best and then the next two mornings the chef didn’t show up for work so we had yogurt & toast. The lawn looked like it hadn’t been mowed since last year and the pathway up to the front door was rather uneven and hazardous for anyone young or old. This stay was not worth the price we paid and we will not be back.…
We had the golden opportunity to stay at Alpine House during our three day visit to Jackson Hole and thoroughly enjoyed it as well as highly recommend it! The house itself contemporary rustic and feels more like a B and B than a hotel. The lobby itself is tiny but a dining area with a small kitchen provides yummy breakfasts and outrageously delicious chocolate cookies and beverages for afternoon snacking. The rooms are comfortably appointed and the staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. It’s location is within walking distance to downtown Jackson Hole and lots of galleries and cute shops. If you’re looking for a place to vacate in this beautiful part of our country, this is a great place to book. No elevator….walk up to rooms, but staff is very helpful with carrying bags to room as needed.…
We chose this place for its proximity to downtown Jackson Hole. Easy walk to pretty much everything in town. Our room was on the second floor and getting all of our luggage up the stairs is something I wouldn't want to do again. There are many steps to the second floor! The rooms are on the small side and there's no fridge which was inconvenient as we are travelling and had to throw everything out. One huge inconvenience is the bathroom sink. Super small with virtually no counter space or shelves other than a shelf way under the sink. This is so easily remedied but they chose to put a modern bowl sink and so we had to juggle our toiletries constantly. Beds and linens are very comfy! Our room was made up twice and the towels and floor mat were taken but not replaced. There is coffee and refreshments available but twice it was cookies that were like hockey pucks - hard and burnt. I took one bite and threw the rest away. They also offer apple and oranges. The breakfast is very very good. And the breakfast area is very nicely arranged with cloth tablecloths. Very upscale! Every day they had large warm ham and cheese croissants ready to go if you are in a hurry. Lots of other choices - sweet breads, granola, fruit etc. The omelette chefs vary and the omelettes vary as well. The first day my husband RAVED about his omelette. The next day there was a different chef and his omelette was runny with way too much cheese. If I was younger I'd stay here again!…
Good location within walking distance to restaurants and shops. Rooms are comfortable but nothing fancy. Very attentive staff. The breakfast was much better than most hotels. I loved the homemade granola and the coffee which comes from a local roaster. I don't think you be disappointed if you stay there.
This is my second time visiting Jackson and my first choice for lodging is the Alpine House. I like the bed and breakfast feel of the place and speaking of breakfast, they offer a simple menu but there is definitely nothing simple when it comes to flavor! They offer a daily breakfast special plus your standard bacon and eggs cooked your way, granola and yogurt, fresh fruit and home baked goods. I use the word standard loosely as this is way better than standard. I love their meat and veg omelets and french toast. They offer many drink options plus have a coffee bar available all day with some type of hime mafe snack daily. Next big attraction to the Alpine House is the great staff. Interaction with Ryan who wears many hats makes you feel like you are staying at a family members home. Very nice young man and very personable. Next in line is their morning chef who cooks with a smile and delivers a great breakfast. The lodge itself is very cozy as it offers a great reading area next to a fireplace with tons of books and board games to choose from. Other amenities are a work out room, sauna and massage room. The rooms are very cozy especially with the fireplace. Beds are super comfortable, lots of pillows and great heavy down comfortable to keep you warm. Also either know one talks or the rooms are sound proof as I have stayed here for a total of 11 nights and have never heard a sound from inside the lodge while in my room. Location is also great as you are within walking distance to Broadway which has all the restaurants, shopping and center of town. …
Lovely place, our room had a gas fireplace and was well appointed. But the best part was the breakfast - it was AMAZING! Seriously, one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had in a hotel and I stay in a lot of hotels. Can’t wait to go back and stay longer.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Alpine House. The upstairs king room was quiet, large, very comfortable and super clean. Our bed was very comfortable and offered multiple pillow choices. Cooked to order breakfast each morning in the dining area was excellent and service there as well as the front desk was always friendly and helpful. The sweet treats available in the lobby throughout the day was a nice touch. The location is great with an easy walk to the main square as well as all the downtown shops and restaurants and yet it’s not on a busy main street. Easy parking in front and rear is very close to the entrances which makes luggage handling a breeze. Be advised though there is no elevator. We stayed there 4 nights and would love to stay here again should we return to Jackson Hole area.…
This lodge was perfect for my husband and I. The lodge is located right in Jackson, WY where shoppes, eateries, bars, etc are all in walking distance! Also, Grand Teton National Park was only 15 minutes away! All of the staff was kind and accommodating. Our favorite parts of the stay was the small fireplace in our room, the complimentary breakfast (prepared by a chef once order was placed - which was so much better than a buffet), free coffee, parking for our rental car (located right behind the lodge), and cleanliness!
Stayed here for 3 nights at the end of summer. Gage, the host, was welcoming and kind. I had a deluxe king room, which was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was adequate, but I am not a breakfast expert so ymmv. The location is perfect-I walked everywhere and really enjoyed my stay. The only downside is that there was no refrigerator in the room, but there is a communal fridge on the main level. Oh, and the "fitness room" is a solitary exercise bike and a bench. But hey, you can walk everywhere so you don't need to work out! A lovely place to stay.
The Alpine House Lodge had a warm and comforting feel. Our room was spacious and very clean. There’s a small gym and sauna. The library looked like a cozy place to relax after a long day of activity. My husband and I truly enjoyed our made to order breakfast. I had the huevos rancheros which was amazing. My husband really like his French toast. I would definitely stay at this charming inn again.
