We are frequent visitors to JH. This location can't be beat. The breakfast is outstanding. Our downstairs room was small with alot packed into it. The lighting was poor, too. There is a communal fridge on the main lavel and a convenient ski equipment storage room. Cozy reading spaces. The fitness area needs updating. If you need concierge service, look elsewhere, the front desk has an attendant sporadically throughout the day. Parking is in the back, ask how to reach it. The posted rates are overpriced. Exceptional breakfast. Walking distance to start ski bus and town everything,

We stayed at Alpine House since it was completed and established by Nancy and Hans. At the time it was (and still is) a unique and singular establishment. Not a typical “hotel” where wasted opulence is mistaken for comfort. In fact what was amazing is that from the moment we parked our car outside and walked in fist time 10 years ago or so (late and after hours) - we immediately felt as if we have been there before. Grabbed our envelope with keys and info and started our vacation stay immediately relaxed with few snacks left in the dining room area just for us including hot tea etc. If you are expecting huge rooms and even bigger TV then the place is not for you. If you desire quiet, clean and functional “European” style spaces then you are exactly where you should be. We have been there as a couple and with kids when they were “grade school” and now 18+. Some rooms have a real loft space - so even the 18+ (clearly stil kids that they want to be :) love that and despite compact area they can have their own space to cozy up and disappear from parents or each others hair… As a couple we had rooms with bigger bed, fun gas fireplace with neat trim and definitely alpine feel thanks to nice woodwork- instantly relaxing and romantic. Bathrooms v clean etc. Breakfast- served early, made to order from fresh ingredients, is the best and deserves its own separate review. Totally relaxing, I drink some coffe, eat a bit while I wait for the fam to get ready and come downstairs, check the bus schedule and then with some nutrition in you … you are ready to be dropped off by the bus at the base of the Tram :) (or “First Tram” if you are serious about the snow as we are) After the mountain one finds themselves often hanging out in “common spaces” chilling, reading or sometimes when we bring takeout, eating while sitting at a proper table in the dining room with silverware that’s not plastic and on real plates - so then rooms don’t have to double for “kitchens”. There is sauna that we often warm up in & with adjacent shower, massage room so one can schedule a local masseuse to come to treat your sore back after skiing. Robes and towels are there etc. Ski room has space for your gear and its right by the door so there is no shlepping your stuff up and down :) Hotel is literally 2 blocks away from all transit so we never use our car once there to get to the ski mountain - super convenient. Fun restaurant accross the street and dozen others within walking distance including Million Dolar Cowboy Bar if you like to play some pool with the locals, Miazga’s, Liberty Burgers, Pinky G’s Pizza, Cafe Genevieve’s (ohh that reuben…), Bin 22 (holly mozzarella!) and so much more…and make reservations for Blue Lion if there is need for nice formal dining (ahh that elk steak…) We are so happy that the original concept of quiet, practical and cozy with shared spaces concept has been maintained under new ownership and seems like some additions are coming this year to make “tha House” even better without changing the spirit of it. Management is there to help and at the same time very unobtrusive ! This time as before we met all the staff (cooks, front desk and manager Chris) and had some fun conversations. The funny thing was that the guy in charge of it all was there daily clearly taking care of the usual day to day things but it took me 2 days or so to realize that he was not a guest :) - again I love the “be seen occasionally and never be heard” approach which allows you, a guest, to feel some degree of unobstructed independence. We will be definitely continuing our now tradition of staying there when in Jackson.

This was a great find. I fear that if they do some cosmetic upgrades it will raise the price to out of my budget. Accessibility to public transportation START and easy walk to town was great. I loved the Alpine House!

What a fantastic hidden gem right in the heart of Jackson Hole walking distance to the square with all the great restaurants and shops. It’s like a ski chalet, cozy, cute and they have friendly staff. The hot made to order breakfast each morning is incredible, I was shocked it was included. Can’t wait to go back!

Unfortunately I was only here for 12 hours due to a late arrival during a business trip but I would definitely return. Rooms were clean, the hotel was quiet, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent!

The room was comfortable and we slept well. Breakfast was a gift each morning, so delicious and an excellent variety of choices. The eggs benedict were outstanding. Our room was spotlessly clean and the staff friendly and helpful. The location was perfect as we could walk to everywhere we needed to go. Our only wish was that it would have snowed more during the week!

Great location; close walk to all of the shops and sights in Jackson. Glorietta is a fabulous restaurant right across the street. This is a wonderful hotel which reminds me of a chalet in the Alps, with exposed wooden beams and pine accents in the rooms. Hotel accommodations are comfortable, and the property even includes a collection of vintage ski equipment on display. Front office staff is friendly and provides excellent options for places to see / experience. The breakfast menu and quality of service is fantastic, with numerous options to start your skiing/outdoor activities on the right track. I will definitely be coming back!

We have been coming to Alpine House since 2016. We love the charm and ambiance. The breakfast is fantastic, and the location can not be beat. We walk to town to catch the bus, and walk to town for shopping and dinner. The only minus is no outdoor hot tub, but hopefully one will be added soon. Thank you for 8 years of memories and exceptional service.

Our third time in Jackson and the Alpine House for a ski vacation. Had a great time at the JHMR and appreciated the comfort and homey atmosphere of the Alpine House to return to after a long day on the mountain. Conveniently located near the town square, bus stops to the resort and airport, and the breakfasts are outstanding. My go to place to stay when I visit JH.
