My wife and I recently stayed here. What a great experience we had at the house. Hans and the team do a great job to make you feel very welcome. Breakfast was great every morning. Staffed by family and that is how they make you feel.
We recently visited Jackson Hole and Yellowstone and stayed our first night at The Alpine House. What a quaint place, very welcoming and delicious breakfast. Location was perfect for walking around town. What a great first impression of Jackson! Would highly recommend this place!
After reading the other reviews, I just want to share a true experience. These are photos of an actual corner room on the third floor and photos from the room. Between trash trucks, car alarms and locking screeches, there were several restless nights. I did wise up and turn the heat/air unit to fan only at night. Warning to seniors, the bathtubs, while great, I’m sure for soaking, they are high and difficult for arthritic knees and hips. This is a place with no real elevators, so again, be aware, you are responsible for carrying your bags up stairs or down. Rooms have no coffee makers microwaves or refrigerator in room. There is a community dorm size refrigerator on the ground floor. All items I left there are safe. Insulated pump carafes are downstairs with hot water, and both types of coffee. Hot water for tea was not available for early morning tours. Kitchen opened between 6:30-7:00 for hot coffee and water. Fire alarm test, as scheduled, went off midday on a restful day. We had no notice and I started downstairs wearing only a robe. Notice could have been given in advance. My travel friend, in another room was quite frightened. Breakfast is served from 7:30-9:00 Consists of either eggs cooked to order or a breakfast type special, like frittata or burrito with coffee, hot tea or water. Front desk is unattended often and back door is seldom locked. No problems, but if security is a concern, be aware. Dogs in kitchen and dining room. Not a dog hater, and I have pets in my kitchen, but mine is not a commercial kitchen Within easy walking distance of downtown. Plenty of parking 8 …
I recently returned from a lovely stay in Jackson Hole. I wasn't sure what to expect with COVID-19, but I felt very comfortable at The Alpine House. Guests had to wear masks indoors, and you could choose whether or not to have housekeeping services during your time there. I had read other comments about the welcoming feel of the hotel, and while I wouldn't say the team was overly effusive, they were more low-key than anything. I would think running a hotel during this time is very stressful from many perspectives, but they were cordial. Plus, you don't need someone all over you during your stay, especially during a pandemic. The location itself is perfect. There's a nice restaurant across the street, and the downtown is a couple blocks away. I had set up activities like white water rafting, horseback riding and a visit to Grand Teton National Park ahead of time, but the hotel had a number of activity-related brochures as well. And, the room itself was very clean, just a couple small things. All in all, I would recommend The Alpine House. A comfortable, easy stay in a beautiful location. Felt like a home away from home.…
We stayed for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The place was fantastic, the people were super, the location was great, and the entire property was spotless. It was walking distance to everything in town but far enough from the ‘bustle’. It was a bit of European charm in Jackson, and even during Covid the owners thought of many little touches to make you feel welcome. We enjoyed The breakfast each morning, with a daily special to look forward to. We hope to stay again our next trip.
