We stayed two separate nights coming and going from Yellowstone NP. One night was in a cabin. The other time was in a room in the motel section. Lodging is pricy in this tourist town, but this family-run place is affordable, clean, and located within easy walking distance to town for restaurants and shopping. We’d definitely stay here again.
We had an early flight & needed a place close to the airport that wasn't outrageously priced. We paid $139 a night. They didn't offer any breakfast just coffee but we left to early for that. The place is in a time warp... Like the 1950's. Which would be cute but it wasn't updated at all!! Not much room to move around. The tv, microwave & frig were all plugged into a power strip!! The bed was comfortable. The clerks in the office were extremely nice & helpful. They do have an area where you can camp on the lawn. We sat at the picnic table & people watched. They need to update & make the rooms not so dark. I guess it's a deal for where it's located. Would not stay for more than a night!
The plus, Walking distance to shopping. The minus, tiny room, heavy disenfectant smell. Shower is very small as is the toilet area. Speaking of the toilet... The seat kept coming off. We reported it, they "put it back on," but it fell off again first time it was used. I dunno, never had that happen before. Sucked for the little lady as she had to "hold on tight" so as not to fall off. Oh and the shower drain strainer wasn't attached either.
Very very basic room, poorly furnished but it did have a microwave and a fridge, however no hairdryer. The room was clean enough and in a very good location as it’s just a short walk into town also Teton National Park is easily reached from Jackson. It seems the cost of accommodation is absolutely astronomical in this area, if this place had not been in the Jackson area I would have expected to pay $60 max per night! all the hotel/motel owners must be making a fortune!
We chose this place because of the great rates. It was clean, but needs updating. The guy at the front desk was very helpful. He gave us a recommendation of where to see the night sky and even let us borrow bear spray For that evening. It was walkable to the town square and many restaurants.
