If you want an unusual vacation, you should go to Spotted Horse Ranch in Jackson, WY. We were able to take our whole family and get away from the virus and other stresses of everyday life. The ranch is heaven on earth. We loved the horses galloping into the ranch every morning, the horses galloping across the bridge to spend the night grazing in the mountain pasture, the horseback rides, the scrumptious beef brisket and grilled steak at the cookouts, the trip to the rodeo which had been closed because of the virus, happy hour every evening, three fantastic meals each day, the whitewater river trip. Rochelle and Kevin were most accommodating from the first phone call inquiring about the ranch to the end of our week, making sure every need was met. Beautiful people! The wranglers were patient, attentive, and cautious in helping us have the best riding experience. I appreciated the cheerfulness and attention to detail that the wait staff exhibited. We also enjoyed the fly-fishing lessons --actually caught my first fish and then one more. What a pleasure to enjoy the beauty of the cottonwoods, the aspen trees, the firs. What bliss to sit in a rocking chair on the porch of our cabin and listen to the bubbling river that runs through the ranch. Put this place on your bucket list and save your money to go there. You will be delighted.

We have been to Spotted Horse Ranch several times and it has been great everytime. It is a really beautiful easy to access location right along the Hoback River. We love just sitting on the deck enjoying morning coffee or an evening drink and enjoying the view.
The places to ride are incredible and very beautiful.
The office staff especially Rochelle is helpful, cheerful, informative and always available to help with arrangements or offer suggestions for offsite activities.
The rooms are cozy and comfortable and well kept. They have mad some adjustments to accomodate for COVID and to keep everyone feeling safe, while stil having an awesome time. We really appreciate Charlene and her attentiveness to our room.
We would highly recommend Spotted Horse Ranch.

Family of 5 (kids 12, 11, and 9 yr old) stayed at the Spotted Horse Ranch in early August. It was our first ranch trip, and the Spotted Horse team was great. Rochelle fielded all my calls and questions before we even arrived. Kimbry was our wrangler for the week, and she knew how to handle us an inexperienced riders. She even had us trotting and cantoring by the end of the week. Ian taught the kids how to fly fish, and we spent hours each day in the river. The kitchen/wait staff were great. Basically everyone at the ranch always had a smile and went out of their way to make sure you had a good time.
Another bonus was all the activities included in the ranch package. The hot springs visit, white water rafting afternoon, and evening at the Jackson rodeo were all included. Our kids loved the rafting trip.
Overall, I can't say enough good things about the beautiful location, great staff, and fantastic experience my family had. We were all sad to leave the ranch at the end of the week.

Just returned from a wonderful stay at this ranch.
Kevin and Rochelle were outstanding hosts. The ranch is meticulously maintained and right on the Hoback River.
The staff were friendly and the wranglers were amazing.
My horse Romeo was awesome.
They run the horses in daily from the pasture and out again in the evening.
I took advantage of every opportunity to ride and enjoyed every minute. No riding experience is necessary!
We took a day and went to Jackson Hole and the Teton National Park. It was breathtaking.
I will definitely return to this ranch.

BEST WEEK EVER!!! Words cannot due justice to explain what a fabulous place Spotted Horse Ranch is. The staff was incredible, we made friends for life. The 55 horses were well trained and just awesome to ride through some of the most majestic mountains ever. All the wranglers were great but especially Tess who took us on some awesome trails where we got to lope and gallop. My horse was Traveler who I fell in love with! The cabins were great, the food fantastic and listening to the rapids of the Hoback River each night was a great way to fall asleep. Special thanks to Rochelle and Kevin for all they did to make this a trip of a lifetime! We will be returning next July for sure.

Our extended family of 12 visited the ranch for the best week vacation ever! Our only complaint? It wasn’t long enough! The beauty of the ranch, the wild flowers, the weather, the trail rides, fishing in the Hoback, the great meals, the fantastic staff, I could go on and on. And that does not include the fun things the staff got us to off the ranch: river rafting, hot springs & the rodeo! What fun! All the kids played together in the common areas while the adults relaxed @ happy hour on the deck overlooking the river. It felt like a step back in time as kids of all ages played outside rather than holing up with various tablets & video games! Can’t wait to come back again!

After 17 stays in various ranches in the USA and Canada, my expectations are pretty high and I wasn't very confident when I booked a week at this ranch. Not many pictures and informations online, this ranch is not as famous as the other big ones of the same area. And I was delighted : the Spotted Horse Ranch is a hidden treasure. The location is wonderful, with the magnificent river and mountains in front of the cabins and the lodge. I think I had the best cabin because I booked early : river view, mountain view and horses/barn view ! Amazing. The food was excellent most of the time, especially the breakfasts (best pancakes ever, and cookies too everyday !). There is a highway pretty close but you can't hear it or see it if you book cabins close to the river. The mountain rides are incredible everyday : most scenic horse vacation I ever had. The rides were different everyday and the views were breathtaking (they should share more pictures on their website and networks !). The horses were fantastic, very quiet, well behaved and sure footed, my "Dunny" was one of the safest I ever rode in my life. This is a small ranch and the atmosphere was warm and friendly. The manager and the staff (wranglers, kitchen, and everybody) were very good, helpful and kind. I loved the atmosphere, the other guests, and all the activities (rafting, hot springs...). Don't hesitate and book a week, it is wonderful, I can't wait to go back there.

If you are looking for a dude ranch experience I HIGHLy recommend this ranch. It was absolutely beautiful and the staff are amazing. You were assigned a horse the beginning of the week, I was assigned Rooster and send him hugs, and went on amazing rides that were breathtaking. The food was amazing and loved the campfires and the happy hour. We also got to see a rodeo and even went to the hot springs. Everyone we met was friendly and made you feel right at home. Thank you Spotted Horse Ranch for a memorable trip that my husband and I are still talking about to everyone. Thank you to Kevin and the entire staff for everything you did to make our trip so wonderful. We were blessed to visit this ranch.

Despite the Pandemic this summer I took my family of eight (four adults and four grandchildren ages 10-to 14). It was the best vacation ever. The accommodations were great, the personnel were all so friendly, the horses were the best. Fishing was super, the beautiful country and great food, oh my, don't miss it!

The SHR is the perfect blend of rustic and authentic western Levine combined with the comfort of home. I’ve enjoyed the ranch with friends and family, and can’t imagine going anywhere else in Wyoming

Situated on the banks of the Hoback river outside of Jackson Hole, guests enjoy an all inclusive experience of comfortable private cabins, three hearty and delicious meals daily, and lots of horseback riding! Guests also have an opportunity to participate in white water, rafting, float trips, the famous Jackson Hole Rodeo, and private fly fishing outings.

The staff are warm and friendly, and treat you like family. The Ranch is perfect for a family adventure, an annual girls trip, solo travelers, or a couples retreat.

I have to say, this ranch is so accommodating it's hard to believe your child would not have a great time. The summer at the ranch is full of families so I'm sure he would have a great time hanging out and playing with all the kids. The ranch would make sure you and your child are occupied, trust me. If you're driving, bring things he likes to play with. Children need to be 6 or older for horseback riding and we've been on a float trip (although not with them) and it's pretty tame but I'm not sure of the age requirement. When we went it was towards the end of September so it was very quiet because it was the end of the season. We went Wednesday to Saturday because we just wanted to ride and try our hand at fly fishing. Your best bet is to call them. They are great people and they can answer all your questions. It was truly a trip of a lifetime for us and we plan on going back. Hope this answers your questions.
