The Wildlife Safari was enjoyed by all of our 6 family members from ages 6 to 70! JACOB GORE, our guide, was very informative, personable, and took us to all the best locations for sighting wildlife as well as historical and geological points of interest. He arrived on time and provided snacks and drinks. He interacted with the children as well as he did with the adults. It was a great investment of our last morning of vacation.
Avoid at all cost! At best it’s a large motel. Very little to do at the hotel, especially for kids. The service is non existent and appears to be largely serviced by students who struggle to communicate or help. Rooms are very dated. Great views but the rooms and service is so bad we tried to escape as often as we could. Restaurant is closed but we weren’t made aware and won’t open until 2023. We tried to get a refund but couldn’t. Next time we’ll stay in central Jackson.
Our family(kids ages 19, 16 and 11) did the 2 hour horseback ride with Brian. It was one of our favorite things we did on our vacation! The panoramic views were breathtaking! Our guide was friendly and shared fun facts about the area. The horses were beautiful and appeared well cared for. The first hour of the ride had the prettiest scenery. The second hour involved a little riding in the woods and a residential area but was still enjoyable. Put bug spray on before your ride!!!! We got many mosquito bites through our long pants in a field on part of the ride. Otherwise it was about perfect! We would absolutely return to Spring Creek Ranch to ride horses.
First of all let's start with the great experience we had with Jacob and Josh on our all day excursion to Yellowstone! These guys were a wealth of knowledge and I only wish we had more time to do more excursions with them. I highly recommend booking some time with them to really get to know the area. Great addition to the Spring Creek Ranch team. The rooms could use a little updating but you can not beat the view. Great hot tub and pool area to use. Overall a great experience and we hope to be back next year.
We did the one hour horseback riding “excursion.” It was amazing and I was bummed I didn’t pick the two hour tour. Our guide was Brian and he was super nice and informative. We really enjoyed our ride! After the horseback riding we checked out the rest of the ranch - and on a whim we rented their e-bikes for an hour - they were so fun to ride around. We really had the best time. We even saw a moose during the bike ride! The entire staff at the ranch were very accommodating and helpful! Would return and I highly recommend!
We were lucky enough to stay here for a few nights in mid July. The cabins and the grounds are beautiful. We stayed in the "Suite" which was newly decorated and had a terrific view of the meadow and mountains. The owners, Alexandra and Mike were wonderful We had a small kitchen with a fridge and microwave but no oven so the owners brought us a big portable BBQ that we used to cook steaks one night. Sat on the deck watching the sun go down with steak and wine. The best! The Ranch is in Wilson which is only a few miles from Jackson. Before going we thought we would like to stay in Jackson but not anymore. The Ranch was perfect We give it 6 stars!
Had the pleasure of returning to this place and spending a few nights soaking in the stunning views, breathing the fresh. crisp air, hiking around the grounds, and relaxing by the pool. Plenty of activities and adventures to participate in as well as the shuttle into Jackson. My room was comfortable and had a lovely view of the Tetons. The food was good and I particularly appreciate the crispy bacon at breakfast...it was excellent.
My family and I scheduled and took a two hour trail ride at Spring Creek Ranch. The horses were friendly and docile. The guide was entertaining and knowledgeable about the area. The scenery was absolutely gorgeous. My whole family highly recommends this ride.
I do not know why Horse Back riding is so hard to find on this site. Spring Creek Ranch is a resort just a couple of miles from down town. It is the closest horse back riding stable in Jackson. They also run the stage lines in Jackson. My grandsons rode the 2 hour trip and saw the only moose we saw on our trip. The 3 boys were the only one on the ride and got alot of TLC from the wrangler ( they said she was pretty for a girl ).
My husband and I enjoyed 3 nights at Spring Creek Ranch. The views of the Tetons from our window and porch were stunning! Located only around 5 miles from town it wasn’t out of the way and way quiet. We saw a moose in the neighbors yard as well as a fox and deer right off the porch. We had a King room that was beautifully kept and extremely clean. There are no A/C’s but the screen on the door and fans kept us more than comfortable. My only “complaint”, if it is one, is that I thought we were staying in/on the Elk Refuge. While we were close, it was more neighborhood than refuge. However, I didn’t see anywhere in Jackson that could match the view!
