We also send correspondence that indicates that in case of any unforeseen circumstances, travel insurance is highly recommended. We are sorry to learn that this is an element that fell short of your expectations, however this unforeseen circumstances is beyond our control. We wish you had a smoother travel experience and that there was more we could do, but it is important that we uphold our booking and cancellation policies for every reservation. *Disclaimer-I am not someone who routinely posts negative reviews. I have done one time in 30 years. This is worth it. Backstory-A small group of coworkers from the greater Seattle area who are ICU nurses plan a small winter getaway to relax after working through Covid in 2020. Our hospital then denied out of state travel. 2021 was our year to work holidays, so behold, December 2020, we plan to make this trip happen! Third times a charm! It turned into a series of unfortunate events. Stay November 30-December 3rd Cost: 1996.70 Called ahead to schedule airport ride. Website is listed as a small fee. On the phone with Tom, I asked what the small fee would be and he said it ‘wasn’t busy season so it’s complimentary.’ I clarified twice on phone it was complimentary. Unfortunately, all of our luggage was lost-at no fault of the hotel. I will say the car driver was very patient as we navigated submitting claims with baggage services. Check in: We are clearly in our airport clothes with no suitcases. It is late, dark, and a winter storm is in effect. We ask for directions to their restaurant (as to not walk anywhere). We are then told the restaurant is closed during slow season. We ask about room service, also, no room service during slow season. This was not advertised anywhere on the hotel website. Both restaurant and room service are listed under amenities. Next morning, still with no suitcases with our winter clothes, we were told they didn’t do a shipment of food/supplies for the advertised complimentary breakfast because it’s not busy season yet. We were told about ‘$10 muffin shop’ a few blocks away where we could get something. During our stay we were made to feel unwanted at the hotel, experienced very negative attitude as we were told of places closed, that the main bar in town was reserved for private party, etc. Lack of transparency. Made to seem like it was our fault for being there during ‘slow’ season for the lack of basic amenities, even though it was advertised on website. Check out: we got our surprise taxi charge. We Complained and were told we would get a 15% refund (299$). Told that your shuttle was in the shop for repair (not starting and damaged windshield). It is wildly inappropriate to advertise as free shuttle and then because it is out of service, charge guests taxi fee without telling them. Notified front desk worker of malfunctioning phone operating system. December 6th-I got a notification from credit card company that the refund was canceled and will not process or post to my account. December 8th- I called to speak to management- reinforced that phone operating system was malfunctioning. Desk workers would not transfer me to management, give me their phone number or email address. I Got called back by Tara. She Listened and understood frustrations. Was going to seek further refund and look into why refund shows canceled on my end. ‘Not surprising’ we felt one front desk worker was Scrooge like. I asked for her email and she read my email back and told me she would email me so I could send proof of cancellation. Assured me she would reach out to financial and call me back the next day. December 9th no email or phone call Weekend December 12 no email or phone call December 13th- I left two voicemails. Call back from Tom. I was told to ‘ride it out’ And My bank must be at fault. Informed of malfunctioning phone for third time. Transferred to manager line (which I needed a code to leave voicemail and he did not give me a code) asked to have manager call me back. This is when Email exchange started. Tom provided me with an email for the first time. I got an invoice from our stay and I sent proof of cancelled refund. Over the next week, multiple email exchanges happened. They apologized for their lack of communication, not getting back to me as they assured. I informed them of the malfunctioning phone line again. I informed them I had worked at length with my bank institution and credit card company, there is no refund on my account. They would go days with no communication with me. After a week of emails, and me asking multiple times for any contact information of someone higher in authority or to reprocess the owed refund, I was told they had nothing more to say, as they have looked into it and are unsure why it’s reading as a canceled refund. I have now followed my credit card company’s instructions to dispute the charge.…

Everything about our stay was terrific! We had a Miller Park Suite that was spacious, nicely appointed, very clean and very quiet! The hotel desk staff and everyone else working on the property could not have been more welcoming. There is a grab and go breakfast with very high quality offerings - wonderful local coffee and granola, fresh fruit, yogurt, juice - exactly what you need before heading out for a busy day. Yes, construction next door but since we were out exploring during days the construction was not an issue for us. There is a small private parking lot and we were always able to park easily. Very short walk to the Town Square and the downtown area with restaurants and shopping! We look forward to staying here again on our next trip to Jackson!

We loved staying at the White Buffalo Club on our trip to the Tetons. It has an excellent location-close to the park (by car) and walking distance to downtown Jackson. The units are well appointed and there is a separate bedroom. They have a small washer/dryer, dishwasher, kitchen, deck and more. Overall, the hotel is small and quiet. Also, the breakfast is very good for a free continental breakfast. If you have an EV, there are several free chargers nearby.

If middle of the road average is 2.5/5, I’d give The White Buffalo Club a 3. It’s certainly better than a Motel 6 or Holiday Inn. We thought, judging by the pictures online and the room rates, that it would be comparable to a 5 star hotel and that’s not the case. Good: The room was large with large closets and a bathroom with soak tub and laundry in room. We also got the fireplace room which was cool bc the fireplace could be utilized in the room and on the terrace. The room smelled great, I like whatever scent they use. And the robes are fantastic—you can keep them for $90/each. They really might be worth the price. You can easily walk to a lot of shopping and dining from this hotel. Really nice to not have to use the car each time. Bad: The website talks about the restaurant’s happy hour deals, the promotional posters around the hotel and in the elevator also promote happy hour. When we arrived at the restaurant the server said they “haven’t done happy hour in months. The ski community was coming in and getting drunk and changing the ambiance for the negative.” That’s fine, seems reasonable, but should advertise accordingly. Room service is mentioned online but no menus or any details at all in the room. The front desk staff didn’t look up from their cell phones 4/5 times we walked through the lobby. The building must be older bc when the people above us walk we can hear each step they take. Unfortunately on our stay our neighbors above us woke up at 4am both days. There was construction right next door and that pretty much mitigated any enjoyment we could have received from utilizing the terrace. We were told about the construction at the time of booking though so that was nice of them to let us know. Overall, seems like a hotel that would garner a room rage of $250-$300/night. That’s where I’d put the value anyway. I think we’d probably try to stay somewhere else next time but if this was the only place available it would not preclude us from coming to Jackson.…

Came to Jackson to see the Tetons and the restaurant at the White Buffalo Club was the best meal we had in the 14 days we were in Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. It was excellent and the service was right out of the top drawer. Highly recommended

While we've had dinner at White Buffalo before while visiting Jackson, this was our first time to stay here. But definitely won't be our last! The rooms are over sized and make for a luxurious stay! Huge bath with deep soaking tub, separate shower, lots of counter space! Two HUGE closets, couch at the foot of the bed, and a sitting area with a see through fireplace to the balcony! Great area to relax AND to get caught up on work! For those driving in, they have a private garage you can park in at no additional charge. Coffee maker and small refrigerator in the room. They provide a continental breakfast too.

We had a wonderful experience at the White Buffalo club. We had a loft room with a sitting area and a TV and a full kitchen a full bedroom bathroom washer dryer a balcony with a nice view off the balcony of the mountain and the playground across the street I can’t say enough good things about this place is absolutely lovely. Great location easy walk to the shops and the restaurants just all around great. My only suggestion is that management re-grout the bathroom floor.

We spent six wonderful nights at the White Buffalo Club the last week of May . This was a special family trip and included our 2 grandkids ages 11 and 15. This was the first time they and their parents had ever been out west or seen the mountains. Our stay was just lovely. Our rooms on the third floor were spacious with a view of the town. Since we were a large family group we enjoyed the convenience of the pretty bathrooms, kitchen and washing machines. We also loved sitting on the terrace in the morning with coffee and in the evening with snacks and wine. We had maid service and everything was immaculate. We could walk to everything and enjoyed shopping, dining and music on the square. The staff was friendly and helpful. They helped us make a dinner reservation at the steakhouse in the hotel. Everything was delicious and the service was excellent. We had a special table by the fireplace in a private area. On our last day it was snowing and the manager checked the road conditions for us, which was so helpful. The only downside was limited parking at times due to construction next door, but we always found a place to park nearby or in the lot. …

Me and my husband was celebrating our 30th anniversary. We was told this was a high end very nice Hotel. We had a loft suite . It was average. Every time someone went into there rm our door would slam even though it was locked. You could hear trucks passing outside all night . People walking around in rm above us .it was just a very noisy room.we decided to get a couples massage, it was horrible. We didn’t even feel we had one when done . We get a couples massage everywhere we stay and hands down never had one that was this bad . They put us in the yoga rm and it was so loud , you could hear the restaurant pans banging etc. . It was 400.00 and not worth this at all. We was planning on eating at the restaurant in hotel but then decided against it with all the disappointment we had so far with hotel. The part of the hotel we stayed in seems to be a add on and needed updated. I will say the staff at desk was very nice and friendly . Housekeeping was very friendly and nice as well. We are coming back out with family end of year . We will be staying somewhere else .…
