We stayed for a week at the Wort and had a wonderful stay. This is our 14 th trip to Jackson and we’ve stayed in a number of places but the Wort is my new favorite place. It is a historic hotel with comfortable rooms and a great staff. The housekeeping staff is the best I have encountered. The lobby is wonderful with art, historical items and fireplaces. There is a workout room and 2 hot tubs as well as a formal restaurant as well as a bar and grill with live music that is absolutely top notch. There is a free shuttle to the ski resort and the downtown location is perfect for exploring all of the wonderful art galleries, shops and restaurants on the square. It is rare you stay at a hotel and can’t find one thing you wish was different but I can honestly say the Wort was perfect for our needs during our stay…
Spent several nights at the Wort Hotel, which proved to be our favorite home away from home on this trip! As noted, it is centrally located, steps away from just about anything one could want. The staff were gracious, helpful and kind, consistently going ‘above and beyond’ to ensure our comfort. The historic decor is beautifully preserved and maintained, with some truly beautiful artwork, wood carving and heirlooms. Our room and the public spaces were immaculate and meticulously kept. Sleep quality was great—we were on the second floor, well away from the lively bar area. Ample seating, useful outlets, lots of closet space and many little ‘extras’ added to a very comfortable stay. Recommend highly!
We stayed at the Wort before, and it keeps getting better. Recommendations from this stay: bison chili at the Silver Dollar Bar, a showcase session concert in their showroom and beef tenderloin at their sister restaurant/steakhouse downstairs at at the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar. Sinjin at the front gets special kudos for his helpfulness and professionalism.
We spent 4 wonderful days in Jackson and at the Wort, a phenomenal hotel with a can't be beat location and atmosphere. The concierge, Dani, booked us on a dog sledding excursion that was a highlight, especially racing through the forest during a 10-inch snowfall! Easy walking to everything downtown Jackson, friendly and helpful staff and a top notch experience.
The Wort Hotel, wow what a gem!! My wife and I stayed here in January and all we can say is how incredible this part of our honeymoon stay in Jackson was. We moved to the Wort Hotel after having an awful/horrendous/unprofessional experience stay at the Rustic Inn in Jackson. The Wort helped save our honeymoon travels to Jackson. Thank goodness we moved into The Wort Hotel. They were absolutely amazing there. At check in we were greeted by Angie with a wonderful smile, a honeymoon gift (delicious wine), and an upgrade which she offered graciously. The front desk young lady Angie herself helped us with our luggage from outside, mind you it was snowing, cold, and icy on the ground. She didn’t want us to wait for the bell hop and insisted. Super sweet gesture. The room was very spacious and the bed was super comfy. Room was cleaned spotless every day by the exceptional Wort staff while we were out skiing. Coming back to a clean room, clean bed and clean towels was extremely refreshing at the Worth Hotel as we had such an awful experience with serviced/ cleaned room by housekeeping staff and management at the Rustic Inn Jackson. The service at The Wort was exceptional, they went above and beyond to make our stay so welcoming and warm. Freshly baked cookies were always available in the lobby upon our return from long days of skiing. And I can't leave out how amazing the location of the Wort Hotel is. Walking distance to restaurants, shops, ice skating rink. The restaurant The Silver Dollar is a ton of fun. Great live music every night of our stay, with delicious food and excellent service!. At check out a dear young man named Sinjin helped with our luggage. Again we were greeted with such warmth by him and asked about our stay by Sinjin. He was such a gentlemen, so attentive and helpful to all we needed. He made sure to ask many times regarding our stay from the moment he came to our room to retrieve our bags until he helped load them into our car. This kind of hospitality from The Wort Hotel is exactly the kind of hospitality that will have us coming back as well as our recommendations to other visitors passing by Jackson Hole. Highly Recommend.…
While planning this trip, I spent a lot of mental energy persuading myself that The Wort would be the best choice, despite the price. Because of the chance of bad weather curtailing our planned activities, if we were going to be stuck somewhere, I wanted it to be someplace that felt like a destination and not just a waystation. As it turns out, bad weather severely curtailed our planned activities, and it was really nice to be at the Wort. With its western-decorated sitting areas in front of a fireplace, and bar with live music, it was a good place to be inside. In the evenings, you could sit in front of the upper fireplace and have a hot chocolate. The town square and several good restaurants were within easy walking distance. The front desk staff, restaurant managers, and concierge were all super friendly and customer-oriented. The room was big, clean, quiet, with excellent linens and bath products, and the maid service was amazing. Santiago, the manager at breakfast at the restaurant, was excellent. We told him on Wednesday that we had a tour pickup at 8 AM Thu and asked him if it would be possible to be served in time (since the restaurant doesn't open until 7). He said he would be there the Thursday morning and would personally guarantee that we would be done with extra time "to relax". On Thursday he made sure we were served first and brought us the food himself; plus remembered that we had a 15% discount coupon. And as he promised, we even had time to go back to our room and layer up. Dani, the concierge, was excellent. Even before we arrived, she thoroughly answered my detailed emailed questions. During our visit, she worked to arrange a private snow coach tour with two other guests when our original tour was cancelled; scheduled a wildlife tour for us; and also volunteered to arrange our car to the airport. Her human touch really helped cheer us up after all the cancellations we had to endure due to the weather, because we felt like she really cared about us having as good a time as possible. Usually I feel like I can learn more from the internet than I can get from hotel staff, but she made me question that assumption. She seemed to have access to a wider range of options than I was able to find on my own; I had never considered before that some of the better services might not have a web presence. I recommend taking advantage of the concierge services as they are sure to enhance your visit. The fitness room is a slight negative. It is really small -- the only two treadmills were way too close to each other -- you wouldn't want to use one if the other one was occupied by someone you didn't know. Also the wipes for cleaning machines never seemed to really be wet enough to do any good. And the hot tubs are in the fitness room, not an attractive location. Still, it was better than not having a fitness room at all, as long as no one else was in there, which was often the case. And the cold bottled water was really nice.…
Do not miss the opportunity to stay here!!!! The Wort s such an authentic, and historically significant hotel!! There are photos, timelines, and famous pieces of history through out. The whole interior is beautiful, warm and inviting!! I was there last week during a huge snow storm, for "two" nights, to celebrate the engagement of our son. Several flights were cancelled, some people arrived a day late, and we had to change our dinner reservation for 10 people until following night -the steakhouse could not accomodate our party, so I talked to Dani at the concierge desk. She called the steakhouse, and was able to get the table for us the following night!!!! She truly saved us!! Until she did that, we had no idea what we were going to do, so thank you Dani!!! I also had to extend my stay. The front desk staff tried to keep me in same room, but said I'd have to change rooms - which was fine. The next day, they did change some rooms around, which allowed me to stay where I was all four nights!! I so appreciated that they put in that extra effort, instead of justing dropping it!! And my room was big, and beautifully decorated. The bed was also extremely comfortable! The Wort is such an iconic hotel, where we have stayed a few times over the years. Having such a helpful and friendly staff so enhances the whole experience!!! So thank you all!!! Can't wait to get back!!!!…
Looking for a charming authentic wild west hotel? Go no further than the Wort Hotel in downtown. Authentic coboy (and cowgirl) charm with a luxury setting. Live bands and great food. Two hot tubs, gym and in the heart of the city.
You are welcomed in from the first moment of entering the hotel. It is a wonderful luxury hotel and one we have been to pre- and post-COVID and it has kept up the warm, inviting environment that made us want to come back a second time. Highly recommend!
The Wort hotel is stunning. We stayed in the cowboy suite and didn’t want to leave. The location to the town is ideal; it’s an easy walk to dinner and shopping. The staff were welcoming and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable.
