Needed a place to stay and found the bunkhouse Motel. The overall stay was comfortable. The room was clean and shower was hot. The TV reception was fuzzy. Not enough lighting in the bathroom but it was comfortable overall. Breakfast in the morning was fantastic. They had homemade burritos, deviled eggs, assorted fruits, hot cinnamon buns and biscuits and gravy... More

Our company have been stay with the bunk house now for a month and some. The staff is always there for you with open arms handling all your needs, the rooms are awesome the décor is unbelievable. The environment adds on to it. Overall the bunk house makes Guernsey worth coming to stay. I haven't had any issues at all!!

I have been to Guernsey Lake State Park a number of times but this was my first time visiting that I had to stay in a motel. Guernsey sits just outside the park, first motel on the right on your way into town. The lobby was fabulously decorated and cozy, with a well-used fireplace on the other side. Rhonda, who... More

I have so many mixed feelings about this hotel. The owners seemed like wonderful, pleasant people. The rustic/western decor was charming but it has needed a facelift since the early 80's. The best thing about this hotel was breakfast in the morning. They would bring out a giant cast-iron skillet each morning filled with giant cinnamon rolls. One morning, they... More

We stayed here out of necessity, but glad we did. Bunkhouse describes what you should expect from this place. Food was home cooked and plenty with only 4 others there. Rooms were rustic but clean. Price was a little high, but Oregon Trail ruts, Register Cliffs and floating down the North Platte River in a life jacket were all free... More

I love places like this. I walked into the lobby, no reservations. They accepted my dog and even offered a discounted rate without me even asking. The room was clean and comfy, although no frills, but I don't care about frills. I could park right in front of my room, and sit on the bench by the door and enjoy... More

Stayed here while touring and did not have time to go back to bigger towns for hotels. This motel in one of only two in this town. Very dirty housekeeping. Wood in room was so dusty it had not been cleaned in a very long time. Beds were clean and comfortable thankfully. Bathroom is very outdated, and had to go... More

I'm in the pipeline industry and have been for 21 years. I have stayed in hotels my whole career, but never have I been let down so hard as this place. I would have given a higher score but the house keeping is unbelievable, forget vacuuming, don't get your washcloth too dirty, you'll need it towards the end of the... More

At $90ish night you would think that you would get more. You would be wrong to think that in Guernsey. It was almost at the bottom of the downhill slide that properties take when they are not taken care of. But considering that there are only 2 motels in the area, they can let the place get however they want.

At $97.01 per night (that includes tax), it does the job. I stayed on Friday night and Saturday night, while my sons did an airsoft event at Camp Guernsey. The Wi-Fi did not work on Friday night. I mentioned this to the young lady at the desk and asked if she could possibly turn the router off and on. She... More

“There seems to be limited places to eat at Guernsey, so you may want to have some snacks on hand. Their breakfast was better than most of the chain hotels we stayed at on our journey. This town is known for the Oregon Trail Ruts just outside of town. A must see for everyone.”
