This review is so, so, so long overdue. My husband and I went to Bitterroot late August/early September, 2013 (In this review, I had to put 9/2014 as that was the furthest back option to check off. But it was actually 9/2013). I was just looking at pictures that someone posted on FaceBook and it really made me want to...

I recently spent a week at Bitterroot Ranch, which is justifiably famous for its riding and its wide-open western landscape up against the Absaroka Mtns. But what impressed me the most was the flyfishing in the East Fork of the Wind River. I had fished the East Fork a dozen years earlier and it was good. Now it is great....

I went to Bitterroot Ranch with two of my girlfriends. I can't say enough about the great care the horses (and all the animals on the ranch for that matter) receive by the owners and workers. The rides were magnificent and each of us were perfectly matched to our horses for each ride (two per day). It is a place...

My first stay here over July 4th weekend. About 25 guests, most of which are repeat. Amazing property in and around Shoshone National Forest. Lodging much more rustic and dirty than I anticipated (I didn’t read fine print about mice, flies in rooms, etc. so my bad) they did try their best to deal with it all. There are some...

I have not had the chance to visit yet due to an unexpected change in plans, but just wanted to say that I have found the owners (Hadley specifically) to be incredibly kind and accommodating as I have been planning my vacation to Bitterroot. Based on these experiences and the reviews I have read, I can't wait to actually get...

A beautiful woman worked here named Kayleigh. A British national who I adored. Great personality and warm smile. I hope she is happy. Her friends Hanna and Elise were great company as well. Take care Bitterroot. You'll always be that dream I wish I could dream again.

Had a wonderful stay this summer! Went on some fabulous rides on some great horses. The horses are all incredibly well cared for and fun to ride, and there is an endless variety of trails to go on. The cabins were comfortable, the people we met were friendly and interesting and came from all walks of life. Mel, Hadley, Richard...

We vacationed at Bitterroot Ranch in August 2014. We stayed at the ranch for a week and explored different trails everyday, always finding new, beautiful places. The ranch is located in a lush, verdant valley along the Wind River in the middle of thousands of acres of national forest land. Every ride had amazing vistas of grasslands, forests, valleys, and...

Bitterroot is run by a wonderful family who is attentive to your every need. They are the consummate hosts, eager to please whether it be regarding the type of horse you ride to the type of food you prefer. Food was great, served in a family room with several shared dining tables. We made same great new friends and had...
