There is a pool of water treatment behind koa that gives a strong oder throughout. The people are awesome, the facility is emasculate and the facilities are perfect. However if/when the wind blows it is not a comfortable smell to be in the midst of. They help the community but the smell is hard to overcome.

Even for a quick overnight stop this KOA is just barely passable. The location lends itself to smells that must have been from a feedlot. If not cattle, I can't imagine what it was. Since it's a big gravel lot you'd think all the sites would be level but they aren't. The restroom facilities are not that bad but could... More

This was our second stay at a KOA. Our first stay at a KOA was a fabulous experience so we tried out this KOA for our return trip from Yellowstone to Colorado. The plus to this KOA: Very friendly staff, the price was only around $25 for a family of five to use a site for a popup tent camper... More

Checked in after hours. They set us up in an easy to pull in space. Very clean and quiet. Grounds are nice and everyone is very friendly. Would stay here again. We frequent many KOA campgrounds and this is by far one of the best stopover spots that we have enjoyed. Congrats Douglas KOA, this is a great Journey!

We spent two nights here and really had a great time. The campground is well run by efficient and friendly folks who make sure you have every thing you need. Loved our experience and would definitely stop here again if in the area.

Recently spent 3 nights at this KOA and was pleasantly surprised. The staff was friendly and helpful. The campground was clean. Many RV sites have a small lawn and those that don't are getting one installed. The location is away from the interstate which makes it quiet. If you need something from town, you're only 1 1/2 miles away. The... More

Dana greeted us with a smile and welcome. She was great explaining the sites and getting us situated in our site. A nice long site, semi level, gravel. Our site was nice and private others were a little closer together. Plenty of refuse cans and a wonderful got park that was well used. We would/will stay here again.

We came to this campground based on reviews but the reviews must not have been from tenters. We were vacationing for a month and hands down this was our least favorite place. Firstly, the tent site was a good size but thats were it ends. We had a site with electricity, did not work. No water near the tenting area.... More

We found this KOA accidentally on the way from Grand Teton towards Denver and I'm very glad we did. The people are incredibly friendly, nice, and helpful. Many of the tent sites have privacy fences on three sides. A tent site with power is only about $23. The pool and showers are what you'd expect. Finally, there's gourmet s'mores on... More

Nice level gravel sites! Good grass for walking dogs and a wonderful big fenced in area for the dogs with nice grass. SD is not a great place for growing grass but Douglas KOA has done a good job with it. Nice grassy tent area and long gravel pull thrus. Great laundry room and the owner even gave me a... More
