They're trying, really. I think I can understand the difficulties in operating an inn located in rural Wyoming, so given that, I can say that at least they seem to care a bit. But, overall, our stay was a mess. TL;DR: - dirty and unprepared cabin - understaffed - disorganized - old rooms in need of renovation - little to... More

Very disappointed with Elk View Inn. I had read through their website carefully, but reality did not match the marketing. The “full-service Coppermine Restaurant” was not open our first evening there. We were told to eat in the bar (noisy, smoky). The next morning the restaurant was still closed. We were told that the wait staff hadn’t shown up, so... More

This is considered Dayton but don't let that fool you. It is at least 30 miles off I-90. The room was clean which is the main concern. It was missing tissues but that's no big issue. Only that they may not be thorough No WiFi in the lodge. Ate breakfast in the restaurant. It was delicious. Glad we decided to... More

I attended a meeting and found the location to be beautiful. We ate in the restaurant and had the BIGGEST order of nachos I've ever seen. The lobby is a perfect mountain lodge with a fireplace burning even in July. Heck...it was in the 40s even then. The one thing you need to know is that Wifi is VERY SKETCHY... More

The Elk View Inn offers a full service stay to visitors which includes a restaurant, bar, convenience store and gift shop along with your choice of cabins or a hotel room. My family stayed in the hotel complex along the tree line behind the main building hub. It was new looking, quiet, clean and spacious. There is a sitting area... More

We came out of Bighorn starving. We stopped here to eat and were very pleased. The food was absolutely delicious. Husband had the ribs and I had the pork chop. We couldn't finish all the food, but I would go back again and again...

We were on a road trip crossing Bighorns and heading on West to Cody. This inn is right on the path to Shell falls and Cody, but a little out in beautiful nowhere country. The staff was very nice and we shared the inn with hunters and ATV enthusiasts. We thought the food the restaurant served was terrific and tons... More

Comfortable, quick check in and a herd of elk on the side of the mountain out the front door. Beautiful trout streams in every direction, what more can you want? Saw moose everyday and other wildlife also. The room was clean and comfortable, there was a small game room upstairs and the pool always seemed available and warm. They rent... More

It was a rainy cloudy day. We were on an excursion to Shell Falls and it was taking us into the noon hour so we decided to stop somewhere for lunch. This was a great find for lunch. This was in May and everything was just starting to come to life after the winter months. We actually ate in the... More

Despite the name, we didn't see any wildlife! However the accommodation itself was adequate, especially for the remote location. Didn't eat at the restaurant so can't comment on that, but the menu looked ok, and reasonably priced. Disappointed that the wifi was not available in the room, but you could get a signal in the reception area.
