When you land on the homepage for Shoshone Lodge & Guest Ranch one of the first things you'll notice is that they have provided location information: "3 miles from Yellowstone", "46 miles from Cody", "outside the East Entrance of Yellowstone". You've been informed. Now it's your responsibility as an adult traveler to understand what that means and how it may... More

We stayed at the Shoshoni gas Lodge for two nights thinking is very close to East Yellowstone Park entrance. The drive from the East Yellowstone area to this Guest Lodge takes you through miles of Mountain Roads, many times with no guardrail at times. It will take you an hour and a half to get from Shoshone Guest Lodge back... More

We truly enjoyed our stay in mid-July! Very clean, quiet & comfortable. Excellent, outgoing, & friendly staff - I am pretty sure we met and talked to all of them! Dinner and breakfast were delicious. Nightly campfire is a great time to relax and talk to other guests and staff. Be sure to take a trail ride with one of... More

Tucked away in the woods this place is a gem.We had a two bedroom cabin that was just lovely. It is located just outside the east entrance to Yellowstone National park. With wild animals walking around in the area you could not ask for anything better. Our cabin looked new with a gas fireplace and plenty of room we very happy for... More

We stayed 2 nights in one of the cabins. This was good - but don't expect luxury. Clearly there had been some recent work on improving the kitchen facilities in the cabin but it seemed a bit haphazard - especially the huge fridge! The restaurant had a reasonable menu but we were amazed when the food arrived - generous portions... More

We stayed here 2 nights and really enjoyed it. We stayed in the Bunkhouse cabin, which was very spacious for the 4 of us. The staff were friendly. The restaurant food was very good, but sometimes they were out of what was on the menu. The pies are excellent! It was a great place to unwind and relax in the... More

We had four adults and six children on a dinner horse ride this evening. The kids were 11, 9 and 6. The ride was amazing, with wonderful views and actual riding! Our guides, Hunter and Daniel, were fantastic. The youngest was very nervous about riding a horse and they put her mind at ease and talked to her the entire... More

We called this hotel based on recommendation on another nearby hotel that had no rooms available. Spoke with Mike (owner) on the phone - everything sounded perfect except there was no Air Conditioning in a room. One thing a Texan does not want to hear in mid July is "No Air Conditioning" - Mike assured me it would be OK... More

Liked the location at East Entrance of Yellowstone . Best food of our two week trip from Salt Lake to Yellowstone. Went on two hour horse ride and we had a blast. Free laundry was a plus and we needed it! Cabins were rustic but comfortable and really only crashed there after long days in the park. Staff was friendly... More
