Found this little gem while searching for lodging in the Cody area. Excited to try something different than an ordinary hotel. It was fantastic, we had the authentic Sheep Herders wagon accommodations for our family of 3. Can not recommend this any higher, if you want to try something different.

What a wonderful place to spend some time in a beautiful setting away from the hustle and bustle of tourist areas! We knew we had made the right choice as we drove in and saw a beautiful buck crossing the road and then a beautiful pheasant. The setting is so serene and the room was so comfortable and unique with the wagon bed, Breakfast each morning was cooked over a fire each morning as we overlooked the valley and the mountains and were entertained by the "boss man" Jerry! The place is filled with Western memorabilia and you feel like you are in a museum! Wish we could have stayed longer!

From our initial meeting at the Ranch with Betty and Terry we knew we were in "good hands". They were caring and helpful and just down to earth people. The atmosphere at the Ranch is definitely WESTERN with historic memorabilia from years past including an Indian Chief head-dress and photos and real saddles. We loved our room (The Teton Room) so photos below. My wife and I stayed only two days and nights. Every morning we had wood fired breakfast by the outside patio - they recommended a Tour and we were fortunate to have a private tour with Chris who was very knowledgeable and showed us wild mustangs and great vistas. We were so blessed. During this tumultuous summer of 2020 it was a great escape. Yes we would highly recommend the K3 Ranch.

We reserved on night here for our trip to Yellowstone in September. When I booked the trip our area was not a "hot spot" but now is. The area of the guest ranch was not and is not having much of a problem with Covid 19 but North Myrtle beach, where I live is and it is expected to be until tourist season is over...no one could have predicted that. I am also a carrier of the virus and no one can tell me for how long I will be. I would not think that anyone would want me staying at their place! ALL of the other places that we reserved were great about everything and we will definitely stay with them when we re book..not sure when it will be but we ARE going. We WILL NOT stay at K-3. I know that they usually don't refund the one night charge but these are NOT usual circumstances! I was trying to be considerate of the owners and other guests. Guess all that matters to them is the money and NOT the health of the other guests or myself! If THEY need the money that bad they have a problem!

To say we enjoyed our stay at the K3 would be an understatement. We felt like we were miles away from it all even though we were 5 minutes from downtown Cody. Our boys were sad when we left. Between the horses, dogs and wildlife we all had a great time. Breakfast outdoors with everyone was a bonus. Definitely recommend to anyone.
