Our time at this lodge was nice. At first there was a gas smell in and around our cabin. However, the problem was fixed quickly. The area and scenery is beautiful. We enjoyed our meals at the lodge and all if the staff was very friendly. Quick drive to the east entrance of Yellowstone.

I have pro's & con's of the Absaroka Mountain Lodge and that's why my mediocre rating. Pro's....Beautiful scenery. It's nestled in the mountains & listening to the little creek running is peaceful. We saw quite a few deer. The cabins....they are cute & rustic. The lodge...very nice ambiance of the area. The restaurant...the food was delicious for both dinner &...

The place had several cabins to choose from. We got a king bed room. I would say that this was a glamour camping experience. You stay in cabins, but there was no cell service, no TV's and you only had free wifi for two hours in the morning. That was a little difficult at first, but the peace and quiet...

We chose to stay here for one night at the end of July the place is peaceful and the dinner was sufficient They have a cute place made to look like a saloon but no alcohol it's just to make it like a themed area The cabin is roomy and the grounds aren't someplace my girls felt safe as they...

We stayed 3 nights in Cabin 16 (Buckaroo). I am so glad we experienced Absaroka Mountain Lodge, a truly special place. I am surprised by a couple reviews with very scathing remarks and would like to share my experience in details, which I hope you find helpful! Location: it's convenient and secluded at the same time! It's 12 miles from...

When we pulled up to the lodge it looked like something out of a horror film. Yes the scenery is beautiful, but the establishment itself was run down and unkempt. The bedding was clearly not cleaned because we found about 100 human hairs on our blankets. I complained and asked for another and the one they brought me had so...

Unlike a couple of other responders tothis establishment, our experience at Absaroka Mountain Lodge was terrific. To begin, I was fortunate enough to call and get a reservation the day before checking in (we checked in July 29th). After a long day at Yellowstone, driving just 10-12 miles out of the exit sure beat driving another 45 minutes to Cody....

Horses are inhumanely treated. I was given a sick horse that tried to lay down the whole trip. Most of the horses are crippled yet they still ride them on the rocky trails. Our Wrangler was very rude and disrespectful. The owner is a complete hot head. The steak dinner was good. They need to be reported for their abuse...

The location is the only great part of this lousy establishment. For starters, the owners don't know how to treat a guest. They act nice to your face, but when you're eating dinner you can hear them in the kitchen talking about all the guests they dislike. Very unprofessional. We went on a horseback ride and a female wrangler was...

This is a beautiful property, food is adequate, services are fine. Proximity to Yellowstone is good. The owners are welcoming at first. One of my children brought a property pet into the room, which is against their regulations, and I understand that. My kid told a staff member about it because of their love of animals, and I was reprimanded...
