Our stay at Big Bear Motel was the highlight of our trip. This family owned motel features large, clean rooms (that included a comfy bed, a fridge and a microwave) and a very unique experience where horse ride are offered nightly, along with live music and a very friendly atmosphere. The whole family loved our stay here.

This was our second visit at the Big Bear Motel. It is a family owned establishment and they take great pride in providing true western hospitality. My kids loved visiting Yellowstone, but they would count down the hours until we could return to the hotel. My kids are 12 and 8 and LOVED the evening entertainment. From free pony/horse rides to the famous Cowboy singer, this property is very dog and family friendly. The playground and heated pool were great. My kids loved the calf roping area also. The rooms were clean and comfortable. My daughter cried when we had to leave! We will definitely be back and highly recommend staying here if you want a true “Cody” experience! Check out the Cody Cattle Company for a delicious meal, show, and rodeo tickets for the Cody Nightly Rodeo! It is all in walking distance.

At check in the people were fast and friendly. Our room was a king on the 1st floor. Had fridge and microwave. Room was clean, average size for 2 people. 2 chairs a couple tables, a dresser. They had free pony rides and a cowboy singer, great for kids. Overall the best place in Cody Wyoming as far as I can tell.

My husband and I stayed in king room for 4 nights. The motel is unique (horse ride available every night) and clean with the basics. It’s location is about an hour from Yellowstone and is surrounded by beautiful vistas. If one is looking for a clean, no frills motel, this is it!

My family and I stayed in the back cabin next to the horses. Very clean and very quiet. I can get a little worried when the sign says motel, but I have to say, this motel out does it self!! The pool is open 24 hours, we didn’t use it, but we saw people who did, nice playground next to the pool. Hope to stay again on my next visit to Cody.
