I’ve seen the Yellowstone in the summer, the spring in the fall, but seeing it in the winter is incredible! Our guide Dean was very informative and would stop whenever we asked him to, besides, the regular stops. This particular day, the wildlife weren’t that abundant however, we did see bison deep in the snow, coyotes and swans with the landscape photography more than made up for it. The Snow Mobiles were modern and well-maintained as we had no problems mechanically. I’ll be back!!

We cannot express how amazing our experience at Rimrock Ranch was! The week was packed with activities and adventures for any age. The entire staff was INCREDIBLE. So very warm, attentive and helpful.

The accommodations were just what we wanted and needed for a dude ranch experience (clean but cozy and simple which is what we wanted).

The food was all home cooked and deliciously prepared for us at every meal. A hearty beakfast every morning started the day and every dinner was a different menu and equally delicious. The prime rib was incredible and our breakfast cooked over a campfire on the top of the ridge was so memorable!

To say we rode horses everyday is such an understatement. We rode in one of the most beautiful place in the country. The landscape in simply breathtaking. And each ride was lead by some of the most friendly, helpful cowboys (and cowgirl) imaginable. We were there with our 2 boys (10&7) who had virtually no prior riding experience and they made them (and their parents!!) Feel 100% safe and comfortable.

We also spent an entire day in Yellowstone park with our very own guides exploring the park, seeing geysers, hotsprings, waterfalls, mountains, and incredible wildlife. Yellowstone is definitely one of our counties must-sees.

We can not recommend the RimRock Ranch enough! No it is not a cheap experience but believe me when I say that it was worth every penny. Truly was the best trip we have ever taken and memories that we will last a lifetime!

What a fabulous way to see Yellowstone. Hardly any people (a few other snowmobile groups from West Yellowstone) so easy access to all the sights we stopped at. We did the Canyons route - which had several stops. Nice to get off the snowmobile and walk around and see the highlights of the park. We saw more in a day on the snowmobile than we would have in a car. The snowmobiles were in great condition and had heated hand warmers for the driver and the passenger. They provide helmets and suits which were warm and comfortable. Be sure to have warm pants and winter coat underneath - makes the trip super pleasant. And warm boots with toe warmers in them. We had all of that and managed through blowing winds at very cold temps and we were very comfortable. Dean was our guide - he was patient, informative and a great guide. I would highly recommend this trip

I would highly recommend! We took the Yellowstone snowmobile trip on New Years Eve with Dean as our guide. Snowmobiles and all equipment were top quality and clean. I am quite a clean freak and after being on excursions with equipment I’d rather not touch the snowmobile suits, gear and helmets were like new and spotless.
Amazing scenery and wildlife including some fighting buffalo in the park. Safety and care by our guide made us feel completely safe.
Seeing other groups in the park that were in far larger numbers I would recommend The Fale’s team for that friendly and caring service and for that extra local knowledge.

Great equipment and snow gear coupled with our very experienced guide Terry made this two day trip through the wonders of YNP a spectacular adventure. Seeing Geysers, mudpots, bison, coyotes, eagles, canyons and waterfalls covered in snow was a real treat. The East entrance to the park offers the best panoramic view of Yellowstone Lake. Dede Fales in the office was very helpful in setting up this trip on dates that worked for our group.

My wife and I have always wanted to take a snowmobile trip through Yellowstone and finally got the opportunity. We chose the Yellowstone Canyon and Waterfall tour. Our guide, Keenan, did a terrific job showing us all the highlights of the tour. He was very knowledgeable about the park. He took us to see things that are not usually on the tour because we were running ahead of schedule. He made sure my wife and I were comfortable and had us stop at a warming hut as my wife was getting cold during the early part of the trip. He was always on the lookout for wildlife. We saw tons of bison and a couple of coyotes. We encountered about a dozen bison traffic jams. It can be very intimidating to pass by these animals safely while on a snowmobile, but Keenan made us feel comfortable due to his vast experience. Rarely can I say an experience exceeded my expectations, but this one surely did. Thanks again to Keenan and the terrific job he did!

The tour was fantastic! Efficient process to get started for the day, lovely tour itinerary, good pace, great views, etc. Our guide was awesome too- he offered well spaced out stops for warming up and restroom breaks, stopped at fun spots with good views or wildlife sightings, knew the area well, and was overall funny and pleasant.

My only complaint is the snowmobile suits were not very good. They’re old and worn out and not nearly as warm or wind and water resistant as I anticipated - I definitely wished I had added more layers beneath the snowmobile suit. Just consider wearing or bringing more layers than you think you need and don’t get wet at all.

All in all, great tour, great guide, would definitely recommend.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our Gary Fales snowmobiling adventure with Dean as our guide. We did the 2 day trip and stayed at the Yellowstone Snow lodge. Dean was top notch and he helped us make sure we saw all the sites / wildlife with no rushing and extra care. We woke up to head for breakfast at the lodge to find him cleaning our snowmobiles off. By staying with us, he helped make sure we saw the geyser activity first thing in the morning- we were lucky enough to see Old Faithful and Castle geyser right after breakfast. Dean was a great guide and really worked hard to make sure we got the fullest and safest experience! We would highly recommend this adventure!

My wife and I used Gary Fales outfitting for a two-day guided snowmobile trip into Yellowstone national Park. We had an awesome experience. We highly recommend Gary Fales Outfitting. And we highly recommend experiencing Yellowstone National Park in the winter. The geysers, and other thermal events are awesome in the winter - and our guide know when and where to take use to have the best viewing. Buffalo (bison) sightings were plentiful and exciting. Traving the roads in Yellowstone, in the winter, on a snowmobile, was truly an epic experience. Gary Fales outfitting provided everything we needed to have a wonderful experience - very experienced and friendly guide, overnight accommodations at Old Faithful's Snow Lodge, reliable snowmobiles, and winter clothing. We highly recommend this trip, and we highly recommend Gary Fales.

We went on the trip called Yellowstone Canyon and Waterfalls. We live in Cody and had never been into Yellowstone National Park in the winter. Gary Fales Outfitters (Rimrock Ranch) is the only guide through the East Gate. We decided to go for it and got lucky with excellent weather the day we went. We first drove to their office space to get fitted with snowmobile pants, jackets, and helmets. They also had boots if you need them. We then headed up to Pahaska Teepee just outside the Park and got on the snowmobiles.

Our guide, Terry, was excellent all day. He instructed us on the operation of the machines and a quick overview of how the day was going to go. He was very patient with all us newbies and could explain whatever questions we had. The first part of the trip was a long ride to Yellowstone Lake where we got to go over a bridge where bison were standing. After watching them for a while, we got to ride past them slowly where we all looked at each other. We then headed to the fishing bridge and a warming hut and restrooms. We then headed to the canyon and waterfalls. The waterfalls were great with all the ice and steam fumaroles. Along the way we saw many more bison, swans, ducks, coyotes, and otters. We had lunch inside at Canyon City.

On the way back, we stopped at the mud volcanos, fishing bridge, a gas station, and then at a high overlook of the lake where there was a great landscape view. Since it was fairly clear, you could see the Grand Teton mountains. We then headed back to Pahaska Teepee to end the ride.

Sorry for the delay. I have heard you can find them in the wild but they don't come so close to the main street. We haven't seen any or heard of anybody encountered one.
