Had a blast on our tour. Our guide Terry was one of a kind. He made the tour very interesting and enjoyable. I will definitely recommend a snowmobile tour with Gary Fales Outfitters and if you have a choice ask Terry to be your guide.
Dear Dede and Gary, Thank you for all the extra effort you put into getting us into the park. A less dedicated person would have given up and not think outside the box to make it happen. At 76 years old and considering the lottery system, this may have been a trip of a lifetime for us. We made it to all the points of interest we wanted to see on Grand Loop and much of the north road. We had snow covered road on north road to where the road starts to drop into the canyon where we turned around. We loved the two-piece suits. Having not seen them I was concerned about how warm they would be. I was way overdressed as the suits are high quality and at 10 to 20 degrees a heavy long underwear top and fleece shirt would have been enough. There is upside to everything as I lost a couple pounds, albeit water from sweating. I selected the modular helmet and really liked how the lower portion rotated up. Made it much easier to put on and provided flexibility on how to wear it. My next personal helmet will be a modular. I really liked Terry’s straight forward and blunt approach to laying out ground rules for the trip. Having spent over 27 years in the military and many years in the construction industry, there is no other way to communicate if you want to get someone’s attention. It seems today the norm is to be so nuanced, so you don’t offend someone, that the important information is lost. Thank you again for providing us a great experience in a beautiful setting. You provided the best of machines, clothing, and service. Merry Christmas - you sure gave us one, John X 2, Regina, and Mary…
This crew does a great job and ensures your experience checks off the bucket list. Terry was an excellent guide. He made sure he knew what each guest was looking for and found ways to engineer the right picture or view. He went out of his way to spot animals. We saw bison, otter, fox, coyote, and eagles in addition to the spectacular scenery. Highly recommend.
This was the absolute best day! It was such a great experience and memories made with my young adult children. So fun and beautiful and Dean was a fantastic guide! Highly recommend this outing. 10/10 Excursion
Feb 18th 2023 snowmobile ride through Yellowstone was amazing!! The staff at Gary Fales outfitters was top notch to deal with, Everyone was very friendly and very knowledgeable of the park and surrounding areas, Our guide was Terry he was on top of thing when it came to safety with the group and keeping everyone on the right path for smooth riding all day, he was able to get us to all the right spot for unlimited opportunities to view the wildlife in the park, from up close and personal with the boson to watching a coyote steal a duck from some otters, all in all it was an experience of a life time and we highly recommend this outfitter and Terry as the guide,
My wife and I have always wanted to take a snowmobile trip through Yellowstone and finally got the opportunity. We chose the Yellowstone Canyon and Waterfall tour. Our guide, Keenan, did a terrific job showing us all the highlights of the tour. He was very knowledgeable about the park. He took us to see things that are not usually on the tour because we were running ahead of schedule. He made sure my wife and I were comfortable and had us stop at a warming hut as my wife was getting cold during the early part of the trip. He was always on the lookout for wildlife. We saw tons of bison and a couple of coyotes. We encountered about a dozen bison traffic jams. It can be very intimidating to pass by these animals safely while on a snowmobile, but Keenan made us feel comfortable due to his vast experience. Rarely can I say an experience exceeded my expectations, but this one surely did. Thanks again to Keenan and the terrific job he did!…
We recently did a 2 day snowmobile tour through Yellowstone. What an incredible experience! I grew up by Yellowstone and been in the park numerous times. You just don’t realize how much you miss seeing because you don’t stop because of the crowds. Staying at by Old Faithful and being able to by out there when nobody else is; absolutely priceless. Highly recommend! Be prepared for the cold!!! You are in Wyoming on a snowmobile in the winter!!! I’ll be back!!!
Having lived in Cody WY for 30 years I don’t know what took me so long to enjoy this part of my backyard. From beginning to end Dean did a great job providing information that made it a most memorable experience. The scenery was beyond description and the animals were plentiful. Between the warm gear and the fun and experienced guide I HIGHLY recommend enjoying YNP in the winter months. Dean , Gary and Dede thank you for helping me check this from my bucket list.
We went on the trip called Yellowstone Canyon and Waterfalls. We live in Cody and had never been into Yellowstone National Park in the winter. Gary Fales Outfitters (Rimrock Ranch) is the only guide through the East Gate. We decided to go for it and got lucky with excellent weather the day we went. We first drove to their office space to get fitted with snowmobile pants, jackets, and helmets. They also had boots if you need them. We then headed up to Pahaska Teepee just outside the Park and got on the snowmobiles. Our guide, Terry, was excellent all day. He instructed us on the operation of the machines and a quick overview of how the day was going to go. He was very patient with all us newbies and could explain whatever questions we had. The first part of the trip was a long ride to Yellowstone Lake where we got to go over a bridge where bison were standing. After watching them for a while, we got to ride past them slowly where we all looked at each other. We then headed to the fishing bridge and a warming hut and restrooms. We then headed to the canyon and waterfalls. The waterfalls were great with all the ice and steam fumaroles. Along the way we saw many more bison, swans, ducks, coyotes, and otters. We had lunch inside at Canyon City. On the way back, we stopped at the mud volcanos, fishing bridge, a gas station, and then at a high overlook of the lake where there was a great landscape view. Since it was fairly clear, you could see the Grand Teton mountains. We then headed back to Pahaska Teepee to end the ride.…
Amazing experience I will come back again. This trip was on our book of list. We from Georgia and we really enjoyed this trip. Our experience in yellowstone winter landscape was main blowing. God creation is perfect!
