Resort, I don't think so. More like open field with rvs parked everywhere. Lots of freeway noise. My assigned site came complete with kitchen waste, aka garbage, general litter, and dog waste, aka feces. The sewer connection stood 7 to 8 inches above ground level. The picnic table would be best described as delapidated. I had to use 4 plus inches of blocking one side to level up. Don't look for me here. I won't be back.

After reading several reviews, I was a bit leery about our stay in the RV Park. I must say, we were pleasantly surprised! Yes, it is a real life working ranch and sometimes you can smell that, but it wasn’t often and definitely did not detract from watching the herd of bison roam or run about as well as a huge herd of elk! We found the staff to be courteous and the facilities and laundry area clean and well maintained. The gift shop is fantastic and we found everything we needed and then some! They also sell bison meat there if you are interested in that. The roads are not paved, but after reading some of the reviews I thought we might fall down into a chug hole never to return again! We did not. It was a little bumpy, but not anything worse than speed bumps in other parks. Prices for washers varies between $1 - $2 to wash and $1 - $1.50 to dry (Different machines were priced differently but they all worked well.) A steal compared to some places we have been! We did the train ride and it was a little under whelming, but then we got to the bison and were all able to feed them by hand! It was a family memory we will all cherish. We had dinner twice at the Senator and they are a bit understaffed, but they were very friendly and honest about the time. There was live music playing and we were on vacation and actually enjoyed the slower pace and time we had for conversation and looking at all the interesting/antique decorations they have as well as enjoying the music! My husband got the prime rib buffet both nights and loved the short ribs both nights but the prime rib was a little less pink the second night. The salad bar was fresh, drinks good and desserts delicious! The kids loved exploring the ranch and found the peacocks and turkeys as well as calves and alpacas! There were multiple old school play grounds that are well maintained. Even my teenagers enjoyed the bigger slides and things they had to play on! There are basketballs to borrow for $10 and you get your $10 back when you return the ball. My family and I enjoyed our stay & would not hesitate to return again if back in the area.

Needing a campground between Gillette WY and Pueblo, CO we found Terry Bison Ranch online. Not sure I would call this a resort but it’s right off the freeway and for families they offer several different activities. We were furthest from the freeway so it was relatively quiet and the sites probably the best in the park because it was on the grass and each site is extra long. (This may not be true when it’s raining, however!) The clerk at check-in was very nice and the park provides a newsletter and coupons to use their restaurants. But the inside dirt roads are rutted out and it’s probably been several months since they were graded. The electric service was good but we didn’t check the water pressure as we were only staying overnight. The clerk said the internet was iffy at best so we didn’t bother. If we are up this way again, I would look for somewhere else.

You’d think from the pictures that these majestic animals are roughly the size of a deer, maybe a moose, but NO. These things are HUGE!! I didn’t actually stay here so I can’t say much, but from going up to the fence I can say me and Walter (the bison I named) had a real connection. The other fellas were nice too.

We have stayed at this location twice in the last two months while driving through. The rv spots are large and easy to get into. The grounds are fun to walk through with all of the animals they raise. The staff here is very friendly and helpful.
