Hotel's Favorite
The hotel is an older property for sure, but my stay was very good! The staff were particularly great from the front desk to to the restaurant. The property for being older is well maintained and is charming with the old style architecture.
The room is large and the bathroom spacious. The only issue I had is the shower head didn't work well as most of the water failed to divert from the tub faucet to the shower head, despite using the diverter. I know it would have been addressed if asked, but not a big deal.
Yes, this hotel was a great stay! If I am in Cheyenne again, i'd stay here and I recommend it!

Hello! Thank you so much for leaving us a positive review, as well as letting us know about the water failing to divert. We will pass that comment on to maintenance, but we hope to see you again sometime!

Stopped here on the way back from Sturgis for the night, we were sent to the wrong room upstairs, once we finally got to the right room it was hot and not very clean. Thought things would be a lot cleaner with all the procedures in place! There was still food left in the fridge from previous guests and no ice buckets, cups or coffee maker! What? Why? Don't understand why it would hurt to leave those items in the room and have housekeeping disinfect, it's like a punishment for paying guests. If we were sick we would not be traveling. It is very inconvenient to walk across the property for a cup of coffee. We went to dinner the night we arrived and the menu has been downsized, but we were still able to find something delicious, just disappointed there would be no buffet in the morning. But we took a menu and called for room service the following morning and was told that the phones went down so they were not able to take orders, not sure what the phones going down had to do with making breakfast....overall this stay was the most disappointing from others in the past knowing that the cleaning protocols, customer service and customer experience was lacking! The beds are comfy and we did sleep good, we will be back, but after all the pandemic problems and procedures.

I was disappointed that the lobby fireplace never had a fire. Was also disappointed that the water station was not in the lobby. My family has been meeting at Little America to celebrate Christmas for a decade and hope that next year we will find a fire in the fire place and fresh water in the lobby.

My reservation was lost, there fore we did not have one when we checked in. Our room door lock was glitching off and on then in the middle of the night our heater was only blowing cool air. The front desk attendant haves us a room credit and only charged us $75. However unsure if we will stay there again

We apologize for the reservation mix-up at the front desk and the issues you described with your room. The situation you described is well below the standards we look to achieve for guest satisfaction and we will work to address these issues. We will have maintenance check the room locks to make sure they are working properly. We will discuss this review with the front desk leadership team to improve the guest experience. Was here for an event and had snafu checking in that was difficult to resolve, but was ultimately. Was billed 2 times the website rate for a room that was subpar on almost every level. The linens on the bed are visibly stained, there is minimal housekeeping for getting a room ready in that we found earplugs on the floor from previous guests. Shower mats were tattered. We had 2 rooms both had raggedy bath mats. one room had NO hangers and the other had 4 so we got 2 hangers each room. There is NO ironing board or iron so no shirts can be pressed for event later that night. There are hand held steamers that only make cotton shirts moist rather than crisp. The blackout shades don't close fully so there is no real black out. There are no safety bars in the shower tub combination and it is almost impossible to get out of the tub due to the glass enclosure and narrow tub sides. The carpets are stained throughout the lodging portions of the property. The event and banquet space is very elegant and had impeccable service and is truly night and day in the difference in atmosphere and ambience. Go to any event at the property but stay somewhere else.

The room was clean and adequate, but overpriced for what you get, very outdated. After we settled in our room we went to the lounge for a couple of drinks. The bar maid acknowledged us when we entered so we sat down at a table. We waited and waited and waited, she never came to take our order so I finally got up and went to the bar to order our drinks. Only had a limited selection of domestic beer and only white claw seltzers, yuk, so I ordered a mixed drink for my husband and I. Wow, also overpriced at $7 a drink. Whatever, we had 3 drinks each. We wanted food so went up to the bar to order 2 cobb salads. The bar maid did come to the table and serve those but brought no silverware or salt and pepper, had to ask for them. Got silverware but never got salt/pepper. Neither cobb salad had grilled chicken on them, as listed on menu, and my salad had no hard boiled egg, as listed on menu. When I mentioned to bar maid, she just shrugged her shoulders. I will NEVER stay here again!

Roughly at the intersection of I-25 and I-80 it is a bit removed from downtown Cheyenne. Because of this it is a self sufficient property and therefore charges appropriately, meaning that things are not cheap here in the gift shop or small snack shop. Stayed as part of training and luckily we were offered a selection of food items for a continental breakfast (carb and drink) and an EXCELLENT lunch buffet. Lodge with an adjoining wing and then 4 other wings surrounding a pool. Also has a golf course. Of course was here in January so didn't get to experience either of these amenities. Place seems very popular with locals who were often there for the lunch buffet and Sunday buffet. Small bar with what I would consider a good selection of drinks, but hefty BIG CITY prices. Room, no complaint, serviced twice a week with friendly and efficient staff. Same can be said the for the workers in the buffet. Not a place I'd ever think of staying, even if I found myself back in Cheyenne, but nothing wrong with my stay. I am sure it is quite popular in the Summer with travelers due to its proximity and amenities.

My husband and I have stayed at this Little America in the past and always enjoyed our experience. Our recent experience was very disappointing. No coffee maker, no ice bucket, no glasses in our room. We were instructed to go into the lobby for morning coffee. Had to wait in line in the gift shop for cashier to then take time to put on gloves, walk to separate area and return with coffee. Noticed she was able to assist gift show customers much easier than coffee request. We have been scratching our heads over this because Little America is the only hotel in our travels to take coffee makers out of guest rooms.
The restaurant experience was even more disappointing. Nothing worst than being asked to order your meal before being seated and asked to tip before being seated and served. We were placed in a booth intended for 6 to 8 dinners when there were plenty of tables for 2 or fewer that would meet distancing guide lines. We requested to be moved. Noticed other couples had also requested change in tables for the same reason. Would have expected staff to notice this and made adjustments to ensure dining experience was a little more comfortable. Very sad to be writing a negative review on a hotel and restaurant with fond memories for my husband and I.

Full Disclosure: I emailed management 4 days prior to writing this review in an effort to get a response. They did not bother to respond.
This was our first night stop if our epic 12 day road trip. Upon arrival, this respite is everything they advertise. Fantastic location and campus. We were very excited for our stay here.
Upon entering the room, we smiled. They are spacious and nicely appointed. The bed was very comfortable to sleep on and we were well rested in the morning.
Now the bad stuff...went into the bathroom to wash my hands. The sink immediately backs up and takes several minutes to drain. Ok no biggie. I have had worse problems. I went out to our balcony (room 218) to sit and enjoy people watching overlooking the pool. I noticed a spent bottle cap on the table and then a discarded plastic hotel cup thrown on the ground which contain the precious occupants spent chew and spit. Yup.
Fast forward to the morning, I took a shower. Remember the stuffed sink drain? I thoroughly enjoyed a nice hot shower while standing in 4 inches of my own dirty soap water. Fantastic!😡 I said nothing to my lady who took a shower following me and boy that did not go over well.
After her shower she quickly found that the hair dryer would only work on LOW. Good thing we were not in a rush.
It is obvious from our stay that housekeeping does not care about the quality of their work nor do they care about the standards of how amenities operate. They know these problems exist and they just move on to the next room.
Management was advised of these issues as it may be entirely likely they have no idea without feedback. Unfortunately they could not afford the courtesy of acknowledging the email on their webpage.
Chances are you will have an ok experience. It just seems that Murphy’s law was at it again!

We chose this hotel for the outdoor pool area and that did not disappoint. The room was large but dated. It’s crazy that electrical outlets are not on either side of the bed. The coffee pot, microwave and fridge could not be plugged in at the same time since they were in the same location and there were not enough outlets. We went to the coffee shop/cafe for breakfast and it was way overpriced with extremely poor service. We had to hunt the waitress down for our check and then she had no idea what to even charge us. We also tried the restaurant and while our meals were ok, the service does not match. The menu specifically states what will come with your meal but when you ask they have no idea what you are talking about. For instance, the steak is supposed to come with green beans and rolls. Neither arrived and when we asked the waitress told us she had no idea but if she could find some in the back she’d bring them out! They should not be charging those prices for the quality and service.

Easy to get an Uber in Cheyenne!
about 6 minutes
I can't say much about the hotel the only thing I can recommend is if you make reservations over the internet please call the number to confirm because you never know if there might be any issues. I would not recommend eating at the restaurant unless it's the Sunday buffet. You can read my review about the restaurant via TripAdvisor.
Hello lisapal24,
Thank you for your contacting us. We have outdoor heated pool available for our guests. Please let us know if we can assist you with anything else.
Thank you,
