This is a horrible place. No food with your very expensive room. Uppity / snooty desk clerks. and they pre-charge your credit card for POSSIBLE use and then never give it back. They promised it would be reversed the next day. 10 days latter I had to call and demand they give me my money back.. They claimed it got "held up in their system". I wonder how many people do not call and demand their money and they keep it. And the gas station (Sinclair) on their property is about $1 per gallon more than any where else in WY. DO NOT STAY HERE... THEY ARE DOING ALL THEY CAN TO STEAL FROM YOU!!!!
The hotel is an older property for sure, but my stay was very good! The staff were particularly great from the front desk to to the restaurant. The property for being older is well maintained and is charming with the old style architecture. The room is large and the bathroom spacious. The only issue I had is the shower head didn't work well as most of the water failed to divert from the tub faucet to the shower head, despite using the diverter. I know it would have been addressed if asked, but not a big deal. Yes, this hotel was a great stay! If I am in Cheyenne again, i'd stay here and I recommend it!
Very good breakfast and nice helpful staff. We are from the UK travelling the Wild West and this was our first stop after arriving in Denver. I was touched by the warmth of feeling to our nation with the recent death of our Queen which was much appreciated. We were also assured the vitriol of the NewYork Times to her was not representative of feelings of the vast majority of Americans. The evening meal was delicious and the room very comfortable. Would stay again.
Hotel is comfortable and accessible with a good swimming pool and generous sized air conditioned rooms however when we arrived after a 7 hour drive at 6.30pm our pre booked room wasn't ready and we were told to wait. Family returned to hot car whereupon I was annoyed. Check in is at 4pm. Being told to wait without being offered a drink or shown to the lounge is unacceptable. I went back to reception and complained. The young woman on reception had no idea how to handle a disgruntled English family who had just driven 400 miles. When in exasperation I suggested that maybe she should show us where to sit and wait and maybe offer us a cold drink we were sent to the bar for a "comp" drink from bartender, August, who was far more solicitous to our frayed nerves. Need to train staff better. Having waited over an hour we lugged our bags to our room. It was fine. BUT chamber staff came knocking at 9.30am when checkout is 11am which is a bit rich when they let us into the room so late.…
Dirty, maid service came once in 3 weeks! Buffet food was awful and uneditable. Front entrance littered with garbage and cigarette butts and RAT traps! Rooms are old and dated. No outlets to be had, we had to buy extension cords for computers, phones etc.
We chose this hotel for the outdoor pool area and that did not disappoint. The room was large but dated. It’s crazy that electrical outlets are not on either side of the bed. The coffee pot, microwave and fridge could not be plugged in at the same time since they were in the same location and there were not enough outlets. We went to the coffee shop/cafe for breakfast and it was way overpriced with extremely poor service. We had to hunt the waitress down for our check and then she had no idea what to even charge us. We also tried the restaurant and while our meals were ok, the service does not match. The menu specifically states what will come with your meal but when you ask they have no idea what you are talking about. For instance, the steak is supposed to come with green beans and rolls. Neither arrived and when we asked the waitress told us she had no idea but if she could find some in the back she’d bring them out! They should not be charging those prices for the quality and service.…
We stayed during Frontier Days and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We had a cool comfortable room, nice barbeque on the patio with great entertainment and a friendly staff. Yes the property is older but they do a nice job of keeping it clean. It is an oasis coming off of 1-25 or 1-80 with pool, golf course, nice restaurant, gift shop, ice cream and comfortable beds. They go out of their way to make it fun during Frontier Days as well.
I've been a business traveler fo 40 years and Little America was always the gold standard for professional staff and quality After a disappointing experience a few months ago I thought I would try again. Live and learn. I called to make a reservation on Saturday Aug 6th. I asked for a deluxe king room in the preferred building and was given a rate of $161 and I was told when I asked the total at checkout would be exactly that. Wrong! I said I would be arriving about 8:30 or 9. "No problem, your room and rate are guaranteed" I was told. I arrived at 8:20 on the 7th and Adrianna was at the front desk. "Good news"she said. "you've been upgraded to a deluxe queen room" That is not an upgrade I told her "I'm one person and I want a King bed!" "Oh no" she said the queen room is much bigger so you'll have more room!" Absolute, complete lie!!! I've stayed at this property, in this building many, many times. She stood there and lied about the accommodations. I didn't make a scene. I walked down the enclosed walkway with dirty carpet and went to the room with aging towels, and bathroom rugs and spent the night. When I returned home I called and asked for the front desk manager. I was told Hannah is with another customer, but she will call you right back. an hour and a half later the Asst. Manager called me. I said why didn't Hannah call me back? "This is her day off!!" Another lie. I explained my situation to the Asst. Mgr and she did admit finally that Adrianna had, in fact, lied to me. And she would talk to her about that. Really... I will stop rambling here. Suffice to say I've learned my lesson and will not stay there again. I don't know if the Holding family still owns these properties but they are certainly not what they used to be.…
My wife and I had the Sunday Brunch at the Hathaway Restaurant before the Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo. What a disappointment!! They need to add additional breakfast dishes on top or the selections they offered. We were really looking forward to a nice meal before the rodeo and were really disappointed, especially for the price.
Our stay started out well with a nice room with a balcony. Room was spacious as well. Then as we got ready for bed we find dirty stains on the overhang of the sheets. It was late and we were too tired to address this with the front desk so covered it with a towel and went to sleep. Just don’t know how this could be overlooked by the staff. Then we sweated through the night with air conditioning that failed to cool the room at all. Just not a good experience staying here and very disappointed.
