This place was a great stop for the evening. Quiet and peaceful. The attached dining was amazing! Just a cool place!
The drive back to the interstate the next day through Medicine Bow forest was great! We saw wildlife and it was not busy at all. Unexpected Great Experience.

We just spent three nights here as a large family group with grandparents, my sister and her 4 kids, and 2 of our kids. The rooms were very clean and comfortable (although the corner rooms were the best in terms of size and natural light). Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The younger kids had fun running all over inside and outside of this small 35 guest room hotel, playing noisy games of hide and seek that never seemed to upset the staff. The restaurant had great service. We had a blast playing poker in the card room (complete with real tables). We didn't use the theater room, but it looked comfy. The gift shop had quality items. A very short walk to several restaurants and coffee shops, a small outdoor museum, and a little creek for the kids to explore. Centrally located for visits to Saratoga Hobo Hot Springs, E and H Guide Service (trail rides), Laramie and Univ. of Wyoming, and the Snowy Range Scenic Byway. Be sure to check out the Trading Post across the street for dinner. Everyone in town was super friendly. Great getaway from the Bay Area, CA.

Note: even though Wyoming is the least population dense state in the nation and has had very few covid 19 cases, the hotel was taking precautions by limiting seating in the restaurant, taking care to disinfect surfaces, and requiring staff to wear masks. We felt safe.

Centennial, WY has very few choices for lodging and dining - we picked the best for both! Reservations were easy to make on their website, the price was competitive, and the staff modified our stay when an interstate closure prevented us from arriving on time. Evan manned the front desk for the duration and he was incredibly friendly and helpful! The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable and the restaurant was excellent! The hotel's proximity to Snowy Range and Medicine Bow National Forest meant a short drive for a variety of winter sports. We hope to return for another vacation and already know where we'll be staying!

We had a nice experience at the Old Corral....it's a comfortable, clean place to stay. Simple Western decor, spacious rooms, interesting gift shop made for a great stay. Friends traveling with us were permitted to park their campers behind the hotel, too. Virus requirements made for limited amenities, but we felt safe and that all regulations were being followed. It is right in the middle of Centennial...walking distance to everything. Definitely would stay there again.

The staff was very friendly. We had an old-fashioned room, very clean, with one hard chair. It was poorly lit and there was little storage space. It had a mini-fridge with freezer and and wall unit AC. We ran the fan all night to stay cool. The bathroom was well lit with a good showerhead but limited counter space. The bed was comfortable. The room rate was unbelievably low. There is no free breakfast, but you can buy a breakfast burrito to microwave. We had an excellent dinner at the attached steakhouse. Otherwise, there are just a few dining options in town.

This hotel has all the appropriate aesthetic charm you could ask for. The lobby, restaurant and rooms are all done up very cozy like and appropriate for the western theme. The staff was extremely friendly and the food was good. The caveat is and this is a deal breaker for me. The construction of the hotel and rooms is extremely thin and cheap. So much so that the floors have a bounce and the walls are paper thin. You can hear a casual conversation from the room next door. You can hear conversations from down the hallway in the stairwells as well. In summary this is a vacation destination. People on vacation drink heavenly and are a bit more vocal. If you plan or require a good nights rest for early morning travel as in my case, forget about it. Way too noisy and loud when there are lots of guests. The walls are so thin I woke up at 2 a.m to a loud conversation from down the hall and down the stairwell. I planned to leave at 4 a.m for a drive but I left at 2 instead. I was awoken by loud drunks 4 times that night and the straw that broke the camels back was the chef and his friend standing in the back hotel breezeway entrance having a loud enough conversation at 2 a.m. I’ve stayed here 4 times and have always had the same issues with thin walls and poor sleep. I won’t make the same mistake a 5th time.

Response from Bryan Gates, General Manager at Old Corral Hotel

Thank you for your feedback Captndarty and we agree the walls are thin/badly insulated. Wish we could go back to the 80's and have a chat with the contractor that built the place! We have been experimenting with some solutions, but have yet to find the effective solution without a total rebuild. Until we do, we ask our guests to please give us a call via our after hours number and we can come quiet down any rowdies we might have in the building during the time. Thanks again for the feedback. -Safe Travels, OC Management

My husband and I have stayed here a few times over the years. The rooms are large and comfortable, furnished with log furniture. The staff is friendly and effecient. They have a media room with couches for watching movies, a coffee bar, with snacks available, a gift shop. The attached steakhouse is wonderful! Highly reccomend.

The Old Corral Hotel is a clean and pleasant place to stay. We have stayed there several times. The staff is friendly, the rooms have been clean, the food at the restaurant has been good, and the gift shop has a nice selection of items. The rooms we have stayed in have each had a small refrigerator and are quaintly decorated in an old west style. It is a no frills kind of place, but Centennial, Wyoming is a no frills kind of place.

I saw under amenities it says that they have a bar. While the restaurant does serve alcohol, there is no on-site bar. However, Centennial is a small community and there are two bars mere steps away.

The Centennial Valley is breathtakingly beautiful.

Family owned and you can tell - they treat everyone like extended family! Very clean and comfortable which is saying a lot for a place that is frequented by large groups of snowmobilers. This group of guests drag in a lot of wet (and sometimes dirty) boots and bibs but you wouldn't know it by the condition of the rooms. Very well kept, updated and clean. They have made accommodations for their particular type of guests (skiers & snowmobilers) by having extra room and hooks throughout for hanging bibs to dry. The decor throughout is so unique as well. Food at the steakhouse was fabulous and their wait staff very friendly. Thanks for the great stay Brian & Myra!

We totally enjoyed our 6-night stay at the Old Corral Hotel! It's clean and comfortable, the staff is really friendly and accommodating, and our whole experience was very "Wyoming." We loved the central location between Laramie and Saratoga and the scenic drive across the pass is aMAzing. We also took some side jaunts to Rob Roy Reservoir and Lake Lewis. Breathtaking scenery and a much slower, calmer pace of living. We look forward to staying at the Old Corral Hotel again in the near future!

Unfortunately we do not. After a lawsuit a couple years ago, we have been forced to stop allowing them. Sorry for the inconvenience. O.C. Management

Hi there, There are many options for hiking around us here in the Snowy Range with over 200 miles of trails! Depending on what difficulty you are looking at accomplishing, there are about a dozen or more trail heads within 15 minutes of us. When checking in, we can give you many pointers and maps if desired. Look forward to possibly having you with us! Old Corral Management

I do not know if the facility accepts pets. It is a small town and they all support each other. If there is another facility in town that accepts pets, they will certainly refer you there if you call.

Do you have any place to park an RV?
Answer from ochotel
Centennial, Wyoming2 contributions
Hello Judith, Sorry for the delayed response as I just saw we had an unanswered question this evening. We don't currently have any RV hookups, however we are working on getting an RV park situated behind the hotel with full hook ups. This might be a year or two down the road...but stay in touch and hopefully sooner rather than later! Thanks again, Bryan Gates - General Manager
