We cater to the angler, but we host anyone interested in a private, scenic and peaceful stay by the river. The cabins are 100 feet from approximately 2 miles of public access to the Grey Reef section of the North Platte River for wading and seasonal waterfowl hunting. We also host outdoor weddings with a beautiful view of the river as the background.

The Trout on Inn was a real find for us. It was a great overall experience and felt like a fun adventure, perfect spot for a few days to fish and enjoy the scenery, The Trout on Inn is situated about a mile off the main road along an amazing landscape of mountains and rivers. It is really picturesque and just an all around beautiful area. It feels very isolated, but is also close enough to Alcova or Casper to get snacks, drinks, really anything you would need. The Cabin was absolutely spotless, felt like staying in a really well cared for home. I had Cabin 1, which to me was the best cabin as it was on the end and the windows face a vast field and had excellent views. The cabin had anything you might need in it for a nice stay. The only thing is it did not have a hair dryer, so if you're going out or to a wedding you'd want to bring one. For us it wasn't a big deal. With the weather, the heat and AC in the cabin was a lifesaver. It went from 90 to the low teens in a matter of days so it was a great amenity. Wifi was good and fast enough to do anything we needed - mostly send pictures of the awesome place to family. The owners were super friendly and you can tell they take good care of and pride in the place. If we needed anything we just walked back to the office, always friendly and helpful. We will be back and highly recommend this place to others.

Mike was very friendly and helpful during our stay. These cabins are very clean , comfortable, and right on the Platte River. My husband and I stopped here on our return trip from Yellowstone. The gravel driveway to the cabin is long enough off the highway (maybe a mile) that you feel like you are remote but actually convenient for traveling. We saw antelope on the way in after turning off the highway. We stopped at Smith Grocery store right in town and cooked dinner at the cabin. The kitchen has a full size refrigerator/ freezer with two burner cook top. Coffee pot , microwave, pots, pans, dishes, towels. There is a charcoal grill outside. I could see the river out the front windows while I cooked! Dish TV was great to watch the news in the morning before we left. There is a boat launch. The morning we left we saw a Bald Eagle sitting on the ridge overlooking the river. We also saw several antelope does and bucks along the river. There are several cabins. We were in Cabin1 which had a comfortable queen bed in the back with twin bunk beds in the hall between the back room and living room/ kitchen. There were sliding doors to separate the back bedroom from the bunk beds and another sliding door that can be closed between the bunk beds and the living room. What a great setup! They also have a lodge with commercial kitchen which looked beautiful from the outside. They have boats available for rent but we did not have time for that. You will not be disappointed if you stay here!

Traveling from North Dakota to Los Angeles - Trout on Inn was the perfect place to stay! Our cabin was roomy, spotless, and the sunset views were fabulous! The air conditioners were great in the evening but after the sun set, the temperature went down so it was very comfortable with out them. We loved this place and would definitely stay again!

The cabins are well equipped.Beautiful view of the river! It was easy to rent a boat from Mike. He dropped it off and picked us back up. From the Dam drifting to the cabin is about 15 miles. Thanks Mike, Robles Family

Well appointed cabins, very clean and maintained. Cabins are close together, so expect neighbors' noise as they are leaving very early in the morning for fishing trips. Close to local guides and just across the road from the river. Also convenient for day trips to Alcova, Seminoe as well as Casper. Beautiful view and lots of local wildlife to look at.
