Basic menu, but good food. Prices were very reasonable. Servers seemed a little overwhelmed at times, but at least one was working her first day. Also, there are several local beers on tap in the saloon. We really enjoyed trying beers brewed in Buffalo and Sheridan. The building itself is interesting to look at. Built in the 1800's, it is... It was a wonderful experience staying here, beautiful old hotel, loved the antiques and friendly staff. We stayed in the Hemingway room, quaint, not that big but it was perfect even had a little balcony. Enjoyed hearing the band, it was so fun!!! Couldn't have asked for a better stay, besides that it was very clean!

This hotel is a must for anyone who loves history. From the floor boards to the crown molding, this hotel is steeped in 130+ years of western history! We stayed in the Brodello room, which is actually 3 rooms, easily accommodating the 5 of us for only $250. Its location in the middle of the main downtown strip is wonderful... More

We visited Buffalo twice and both times we ate lunch at the Occidental Saloon. It is a beautifully restored historic building with loads of charm. The service is very good and the food is tasty. Be sure to look around at all the items on the walls.

Stayed here one night on our cross country road trip. Hole in the Wall room very small, especially the bathroom, but very charming. The bath had a tub but no shower.History everywhere in the public spaces. Service friendly but very unpolished and, at times, inefficient. Receptionist had made dinner reservation but staff in restaurant had no record of it. Went... More

We stayed here for one night as we traveled from Badlands to Yellowstone. We chose it because of the unique descriptions we read on the internet and travel guides (like Trip Advisor). It is a VERY unique and quaint and quirky place The service was OK but, uh, very relaxed and informal. The food in the hotel restaurant was good,... More

A beautiful hotel carefully taken care of to preserve its history and charm. All the rooms have different decoration and their own charm. The bar is beautiful and has a lot of original details preserved. Friendly and personal service makes this a wonderful place to stay. Spent two nights here and couldn't be happier.

Our family of 5 adults and 2 children stopped here in historic Buffalo for lunch. The decor is classic Old West bar and filled with wild game heads on all of the walls. There's a TV on the wall showing old black and white cowboy movies to further stage the feeling. One of our bunch ordered the Beef Tips and... More

A must see stop on your way through Wyoming. The bar is beautiful and the atmosphere very western. We had a delicious lunch of juicy burgers, and it felt at anytime a gunslinger might come walking through the door.!

Yep Bullet holes in the bar. Just ask and they will show where they are-the back of the bar, behind a wolf’s tail, in the ceiling… Although we did not stay in this hotel, I wish we would have. It is like walking back in time with original furniture, pictures all over the place, very old newspapers and I just... More
