Detailed Reviews
Quirky!
We really enjoyed our stay at this old style motel. The rooms were immaculate and very comfortable and we really appreciated being on ground level with parking right outside the door. We even had a small grass and patio area where we could enjoy a glass of wine each evening.
The location is great as it's a short walk to restaurants and the Occidental Hotel and bar plus the main sights of Buffalo.
This might not be for everyone but we loved this motel as it was a bit different ( in a good way).

Very clean room and we appreciated having a microwave and fridge to warm up a late dinner.
Fresh brewed coffee, cream, muffins and fresh fruit was very nice in the morning.
Mattress could use an update but everything was very nice.
The town of Buffalo is lovely and you can easily walk to the shops and restaurants.
Would definitely recommend to friends passing through.

First let me say that we selected this motel because it is American owned and to support local business. Little did we know it would be our top stay in Wyoming and one that my child will never forget. I was so impressed with the cleanliness of the rooms. You can smell the bleach on the sheets and you know you are sleeping in a clean bed. The beds were comfy and yes this is a basic room. The owner is a gem. The lobby of the hotel has lots of trinkets and artwork of hers along with coffee and sometimes snacks. She gave our son a small gift and he will forever be grateful and treasures it. Thank you for a wonderful stay and for your kindness. This is a must stay if you are traveling between South Dakota making your way to Yellowstone.

AHHH. Thanks for the great review and your business. I have two of the best employees here as well or we would not be as good as we are. Desiree and Alexus work their hearts out. The gift was nothing. Kids are the best!

I was attending a knitting retreat. The Big Horn Motel was one of the sites to stay. This is an older motel in heart of Buffalo WY. The owners have revamped the rooms, making for a comfortable stay. There is a refrigerator with a freezer and a microwave in the room. The shower is powerful and feels great on sore muscles. Rooms are furnished with antique pieces which add to the charm of the motel. Trudy, the owner was very helpful, providing directions to eating establishments, gas and other amenities in the town. The bed was very comfortable and provided a great night's sleep. The area was quiet and safe. I would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to others.

This is a great motel! Very clean and quite. Trudy the owner was great to work with from booking to check-out. The motel is centrally located on Main street within walking distance of Bonds Brewery and the Occidental Hotel/Busy Bee cafe (Longmire fans). Definitely will be staying here again on our next trip to Buffalo WY.

Place is old with a very small bathroom and even smaller shower. The TV is from a few decades back. The owner wasn't here so sooeone gave us our room number left the door unlocked and put the key on the television. Oh good luck looking for a plug in between the beds if you wear a C-Pac. Finally you will need to be very tall to turn on the air-conditioning. The control switch is about foot and a half from the ceiling. PS they have wifi but didn't bother to share the password. I had to call the friend who left he key for access. But the room was clean.

**Big Horn Motel, Buffalo – 5 Stars**
I recently stayed at the Big Horn Motel in Buffalo, and I was incredibly impressed by the level of service I received. The accommodations were comfortable, but what truly stood out was the exceptional hospitality.
On a Sunday, I found myself with an unfortunate flat tire, which could have easily ruined my day. However, the lady at the front desk was not only extremely friendly but went above and beyond to help me find a solution. She assisted in locating someone who could fix the tire, even on a day when most places were closed. Her dedication to ensuring that I was taken care of made all the difference.
This kind of service is rare and deserves to be recognized. If you're looking for a place to stay in Buffalo with a personal touch and staff who genuinely care about their guests, I highly recommend the Big Horn Motel. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next visit.

We stayed in this motel for about a week. Definitely not a chain. The updated room was spacious enough for us to stretch our senior bones, and full of outlets thanks to surge bars. Comfortable beds. Microwave and fridge. Forceful shower, like a massage. The office is a miniature museum. The greatest asset is the hostess, Trudy, who served free coffee and baked goods every morning we were there. (I don't know if the baked goods are a regular feature, but the coffee is.) She was full of information and tips about the area, and very friendly.

After staying at budget chain hotels on our long trip, this place was a gem! The owner was super friendly. We were in the room on the end near the walking trail so that we could walk the dogs after being couped up all day. We were able to park right at the door, which makes packing the car easy. It was so quiet! So glad we found this place on our journey.

We made an unexpected stop in Buffalo and happened upon this little gem. Comfy, clean, quiet, one story with parking right outside our room. The owner is a very talented artist and you will find her art and touches all over. She was also very helpful with dinner tips and suggested a walking trail behind the hotel.
Bed and pillows were great. Would definitely stay here again if we are it he area!
