Sure got lucky picking this motel. Very affordable. Our room was clean and comfortable.the room was in a great location.we had a coffee maker, refrigerator and a nice table to eat at. I highly recommend staying here. The nice lady who runs the place was very nice and will do anything she can to make your stay as pleasant as possible.
Stayed here in June during the CVMA convention. Trudy and her crew keep the place clean and neat. Basic quiet rooms. Nice seeting areas outside of each room. Pretty flower gardens. Visit the walking trails in back of the motel. Enjoy!
First let me say that we selected this motel because it is American owned and to support local business. Little did we know it would be our top stay in Wyoming and one that my child will never forget. I was so impressed with the cleanliness of the rooms. You can smell the bleach on the sheets and you know you are sleeping in a clean bed. The beds were comfy and yes this is a basic room. The owner is a gem. The lobby of the hotel has lots of trinkets and artwork of hers along with coffee and sometimes snacks. She gave our son a small gift and he will forever be grateful and treasures it. Thank you for a wonderful stay and for your kindness. This is a must stay if you are traveling between South Dakota making your way to Yellowstone.
I was so surprised to hear a 11 year old girl was working in the heat cleaning rooms! I spotted her wondering in parking lot and I thought she was lost! I watched from my room window as she would knock on doors. I started putting my bags in my car to check out and seen her laying on a bed in the room next to mine. I popped my head in and asked her “if she was lost? Or looking for someone?” She stands up and tells me “nope, she’s working” I smiled and replied “oh your working with your mom today?” And she tells me “no, she’s working by herself.” I nodded than asked her how old she was and I was shocked when she said “eleven” I thought she for sure looked young but maybe she was 16? 14? I was appalled to see this young girl cleaning rooms. Do they not have child labor laws in Wyoming?! Not to mentioned rooms and being cleaned by an 11 year old?!…
As others have said, it’s a bit like going to grandma’s, but we loved it. It had everything we needed / fridge and microwave and coffeemaker - plus the bed was comfy. It was just cozy, homey and quiet. Just go. Why give money to a large chain hotel?
