    Best hotel in Wyoming
First let me say that we selected this motel because it is American owned and to support local business. Little did we know it would be our top stay in Wyoming and one that my child will never forget. I was so impressed with the cleanliness of the rooms. You can smell the bleach on the sheets and you know you are sleeping in a clean bed. The beds were comfy and yes this is a basic room. The owner is a gem. The lobby of the hotel has lots of trinkets and artwork of hers along with coffee and sometimes snacks. She gave our son a small gift and he will forever be grateful and treasures it. Thank you for a wonderful stay and for your kindness. This is a must stay if you are traveling between South Dakota making your way to Yellowstone.
AHHH. Thanks for the great review and your business. I have two of the best employees here as well or we would not be as good as we are. Desiree and Alexus work their hearts out. The gift was nothing. Kids are the best!

    Clean. Quiet. Priced right
Trudy, the owner, is one of the happiest people I have seen on my three month road trip. When she says the water is hot, the pressure is good, and the water quality is great - believe her. The bed was comfortable. The room and bathroom were clean. The motel was full and there were no issues with noise. I would stay here again. Happy and safe travels.
YaY! and of course, Thank you.

We stayed in this motel for about a week. Definitely not a chain. The updated room was spacious enough for us to stretch our senior bones, and full of outlets thanks to surge bars. Comfortable beds. Microwave and fridge. Forceful shower, like a massage. The office is a miniature museum. The greatest asset is the hostess, Trudy, who served free coffee and baked goods every morning we were there. (I don't know if the baked goods are a regular feature, but the coffee is.) She was full of information and tips about the area, and very friendly.
Thank you so very much. If it weren't for great people like you, I would not be here.

Very friendly and informative reception. This is a family motel, not a chain. Few rooms. Rooms are small but spotless, well-appointed, and clean. Small bathroom, again clean and functional. Overall, very comfortable and snug.

Hotel was older but very well maintained and very clean. Lady in office was very kind and helpful, suggesting nearby restaurants. The motel was nicely decorated inside and out. Beds were comfy and the water pressure in the showers was amazing. Definitely wound stay here again. Enjoyed the art work and decor in the Office.

Small 20 some room motel. Only seen 1 gal working the 2 days we were there. I believe her name was Desaray. She was very nice and accommodating. Made sure we had everything we needed. Our room was spotless, Linens smelled super fresh and clean.

I was attending a knitting retreat. The Big Horn Motel was one of the sites to stay. This is an older motel in heart of Buffalo WY. The owners have revamped the rooms, making for a comfortable stay. There is a refrigerator with a freezer and a microwave in the room. The shower is powerful and feels great on sore muscles. Rooms are furnished with antique pieces which add to the charm of the motel. Trudy, the owner was very helpful, providing directions to eating establishments, gas and other amenities in the town. The bed was very comfortable and provided a great night's sleep. The area was quiet and safe. I would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to others.

This motel has been immaculately maintained and is one of the cleanest places I have stayed! Very affordable and fun decor! The hostess does not always bake, but we had raspberry lemon scones that were an amazing treat! Highly recommend staying here and we will stay again!

We have been here twice - once in 2019 when driving to Massachusetts and now (Oct 2022). We came back because of the owner, Trudy, who was a wonderful host and very kind to us. The rooms are nice, DOG FRIENDLY, great internet, good choices on the TV, and it's in downtown Buffalo WY so easy access to many amenities. There is a walking trail (we took our dogs) within 100 meters of our room, and the town is "Hometown America"-esque.

We were lucky to stay here near the end of a 3-week road trip. Trudy kindly made arrangements for a late self-check-in, but it turned out we got in before the office closed. The flowers outside, and local art inside and out, were a welcoming touch, as were the home-baked chocolate chip cookies she offered us at check-in. Our room had everything we needed without the self-congratulatory preening of a chain motel. It was very clean, and although lots of folks were at the motel it was quiet -- thick walls! The refrigerator was huge with a good freezer compartment -- great for road trippers with a cooler. I especially appreciated our room's mini-split HVAC unit. Think this doesn't matter? How many times have you been in a stuffy motel that was stuffy, or the fan roars, or neither heat or A/C maintains the temperature you want? This unit kept the room comfortable and well-ventilated, so I got the best night's sleep of my trip.

Booked for the price and location. Was a quick overnight stay so fit the bill. Rooms were clean. Beds comfortable. Some parking available. Wifi worked well. Had to help friends with the air con in their room as they couldn't reach/see the adjustment. One of our reservations, according to staff, hadn't come through properly from the booking site but, thankfully, the third room we needed was available. Owner's political views are on display, and she will also tell you her politics; even when unprompted.

Place is old with a very small bathroom and even smaller shower. The TV is from a few decades back. The owner wasn't here so sooeone gave us our room number left the door unlocked and put the key on the television. Oh good luck looking for a plug in between the beds if you wear a C-Pac. Finally you will need to be very tall to turn on the air-conditioning. The control switch is about foot and a half from the ceiling. PS they have wifi but didn't bother to share the password. I had to call the friend who left he key for access. But the room was clean.
