We booked this place out of desperation, we were so tired and needed to sleep. What a great surprise! Yes it is a small, older place, but the beds were the most comfortable ones we had slept in, and we were traveling across country, so we slept in a lot of beds! The set up in the rooms was a bit odd, the carpet a bit thread worn, and the window blind was all bent, oh, but the mattresses......the sheets were clean, as was the whole room. The lady that checked us in was very nice, and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again.

Loved it!!! So clean and comfortable and super friendly staff. It only makes since that a tiny town is going to have assimilating sized motels and restaurants. Pixie333 is whack. The only other motels are either out of business or unfriendly and short with customers. It is a totally different atmosphere in Big Piney than Marbleton. However, the Marbleton Liquor Store was extremely nice with super friendly people as well. Turns out, the owners of the liquor store own the Big Piney Motel which is why it made since that it was such a good place to be! Love those people!!

I stayed here for one night on my way to South Dakota and it was great. after the night I had at the red garter hotel and casino this place was paradise! rooms are clean beds are comfortable staff was very nice and helpful. would stay there again anytime. Pixie333 sound high maintenance. if you need a blow dryer that bad you should of packed one. there is a very good Mexican restaurant right across the street and the gas station has good coffee. I really enjoyed my stay at the Big Piney.

The one staff member I met was friendly and accomodating, but that's the only positive thing I can say. The rooms are old and run-down, with a smell like they haven't been slept in for a while. It looks like they haven't been upgraded for maybe 20 years. The shower didn't even have shampoo or conditioner, nor did it have an iron, iron board, blow dryer, etc. There was a refrigerator and a microwave, but no closet to hang clothes. The Marbleton Inn down the road has newly upgraded rooms and an attached restaurant, and that's where you should stay.
